Abstract

Carbon Dots (C-dots) are carbon-based nanomaterials that have fluorescent properties, are environmentally friendly, and are easily synthesized from organic waste materials. This research aims to synthesize C-dots from potato skins using the microwave irradiation method as an environmentally friendly and economical alternative to increase the growth of chili plants. Application tests on chili plants were carried out by adding C-dots solution to the growing medium in various concentrations (control, 50 mg/L, 60 mg/L, and 70 mg/L). Observation results showed that chili plants watered with C-Dots showed optimum growth rates found to occur with 50 mg/L carbon dots, compared to the control study, which shows a balance between growth stimulation and effective nutrient absorption without causing toxicity effects on the plants. Then, the resulting C-Dots samples were characterized using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer using a wavelength range of 200-800 nm. The results of measurements with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer showed absorption at a wavelength of 251 nm and showed an absorbance peak of 4.379.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan praktikum terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam materi elastisitas dan hukum hooke, serta mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Cibadak dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Fase F1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI Fase F2 sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 30 siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrumen tes keterampilan proses sains. Setelah diberikan perlakuan,rata-rata KPS siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai gain sebesar 0,54, yang termasuk dalam kategori gain sedang. Sementara itu,kelas kontrol menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih rendah dengan nilai gain 0,47 yang juga berada dalam kategori gain sedang. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Pekalongan, there are many industries, especially the clothing industry, such as batik, sarongs, jeans, etc. Apart from that, in Pekalongan, there are also several universities with high-rise buildings. This large population results in high levels of electrical energy consumption. So far, the supply of electrical energy is still dominated by fossil energy, where fossil energy reserves are increasingly depleting and can result in environmental pollution. One of the renewable energies is solar energy. Solar energy can be utilized to become a solar power plant, it can be applied to buildings. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the potential of solar energy in the ITSNU Pekalongan area. An analysis of solar energy potential can be done by calculating the roof area using GIS. Based on research results, the largest global irradiation value is in a north direction of 4880 kWh/m2/day. Meanwhile, the smallest global irradiation value is at a south direction of 4198 kWh/m2/day. The number of solar panels that can be installed on the roof is 1262 units. These solar panels have the potential to produce peak power of 378,721 Wp or 378,721 kWp daily. This peak power can be converted into energy of 1,893,606 Wh, or 1893,606 kWh, daily.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan alat peraga osilasi teredam berbasis sistem pegas massa dengan memanfaatkan Arduino Uno dan sensor accelerometer MPU-6050. Pengembangan alat ini bertujuan memberikan solusi praktis dalam pembelajaran materi osilasi teredam. Data osilasi yang diukur oleh sensor accelerometer MPU-6050 dikirimkan ke perangkat lunak PLX-DAQ untuk analisis secara nyata. Hasil eksperimen ini menunjukkan bahwa redaman terkecil terjadi di udara (osilasi terlama), redaman sedang di air, dan redaman terbesar di minyak (osilasi berhenti cepat). Analisis kuantitatif memperlihatkan perbedaan signifikan koefisien redaman antar medium, yang berkorelasi dengan viskositas dan resistansi fluida. Alat ini menunjukkan efektivitasnya sebagai pengganti metode tradisional yang lebih terjangkau, mudah disesuaikan, dan memiliki tingkat akurasi yang baik. Dengan aplikasi PLX-DAQ dapat menyederhanakan proses pengumpulan dan visualisasi data. Selain menyajikan demonstrasi visual osilasi teredam,alat ini juga memperkenalkan siswa pada penerapan teknologi mikrokontroler dan sensor digital dalam eksperimen fisika. Studi ini menawarkan pendekatan eksperimental yang inovatif untuk mempelajari dinamika osilasi teredam, yang berguna dalam pengajaran fisika maupun penelitian lebih lanjut, serta berpotensi untuk dikembangkan pada parameter atau kondisi yang berbeda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Mesin Dawai (String Machine) sebagai media pembelajaran gelombang stasioner. Konsep gelombang stasioner bersifat abstrak, sehingga diperlukan media yang dapat memvisualisasikannya secara langsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan. Pengujian dilakukan hingga tahap kelayakan secara teoritis. Mesin Dawai memanfaatkan dua buah dinamo yang ditenagai oleh adaptor 12V untuk memutar dawai yang dikontrol oleh potensiometer yang terhubung dengan Arduino Uno. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan dapat memvisualisasikan fenomena gelombang stasioner secara real time melalui variasi tegangan dawai, frekuensi osilasi, dan panjang dawai, sehingga memungkinkan siswa untuk mengamati hubungan antara parameter fisis dan pola gelombang yang dihasilkan. Percobaan lebih lanjut menentukan kecepatan gelombang pada dawai sebesar 15 m/s, yang dihitung dengan menggunakan hubungan antara daya listrik dan daya mekanik. Pengujian dan uji kelayakan perangkat ini masih dalam proses. Pengembangan alat ini belum sampai pada tahap uji coba di lapangan. Alat ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif alat pembelajaran untuk membantu siswa dan mahasiswa dalam memahami teori dasar tentang gelombang stasioner.

Abstract

This study aims to explore research and publication trends related to refutation texts over the past ten years using bibliometric analysis. Data was obtained from the Scopus database of 115 documents published in 2015-2024 for “refutation texts” or “refutational texts” or “rebuttal texts”. The data obtained showed fluctuations in the number of publications, with the highest peak occurring in 2022. The main authors in this field include Kendeou, Sinatra, and Danielson, with the largest contributions coming from the United States, followed by European countries such as Germany and Canada. The dominant research subjects are social sciences and psychology, with a focus on the use of refutation texts to create cognitive conflict and change students’ conceptions. Keyword co-occurrence analysis shows a close relationship between refutation texts, misconceptions, and conceptual change. These findings highlight the importance of a refutation text-based approach in overcoming students’ misconceptions, as well as opening up opportunities for further research on its application in technology-based learning and student motivation.

Abstract

This study developed an Android-based physics learning media integrating local wisdom—Perahu Dayung (Rowing Boat)—to improve student engagement and contextual understanding of Newtonian mechanics. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the study began with classroom observations, interviews, and literature review to identify learning needs. The media was designed with a storyboard and prototype, then developed using Unity 3D. Expert validation involved physics lecturers, teachers, and peer reviewers. Trials included 10 students (limited) and 20 tenth-grade students (field trial) at Ferdy Ferry Putra Senior High School, Jambi, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Instruments included tests and evaluation sheets. The resulting app, Fisika Asik, features interactive quizzes, animations, and cultural content. Validation scores were high for content (4.6) and media (4.4). Learning outcomes showed moderate improvement with a normalized gain of 0.38. The results indicate the media is effective, engaging, and culturally relevant. Integrating local culture offers a contextualized learning approach. Further studies are recommended to expand testing and enhance features.
