Abstract

The implementation of Electronic-Based Decision Making (EBDM) in regarding to the management of the sports events particularly at Bone Regency Youth and Sports Department, can be seen as a breakthrough. In this paper, an evaluation of the various aspects under EBDM is undertaken from the perspective of the efficiency, accuracy and the degree of stakeholder engagement in the decision-making process. In this work, which uses interviews, observations, and document analysis, the empirical evidence of how EBDM has reduced decision time and increased the precision of decisions while eliminating traditional ‘time-consuming and error-prone’ methods is presented. Nevertheless, it has not been without problems some of which are staff resistance to new technologies and data safety issues. Some of the crucial recommendations that have been found in the study incldue the need for constant training, enhanced data handling, and successful implementation of stakeholder engagement in the case of EBDM. Despite these benefits of EBDM in enhancing the quality of decision made, the study sad that there exists the need to continue assessing various decisions to ensure they retain their quality and meet emerging risks. According to the research, EBDM, when implemented, has the potential to significantly enhance operational effectiveness but only when implemented in a way that adequately takes into consideration the need to address associated technological as well as workforce issues for the program to work in the long run.

Abstract

The Pinisi Festival in Bulukumba, Indonesia, showcases the cultural heritage of the Kajang community and offers a platform for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to participate and benefit from the tourism sector. This study examines the role of effective risk management in enhancing the sustainability of MSME participation in the festival. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that MSMEs demonstrate a good understanding of risk management, identifying key risks such as damage to goods, a decrease in visitor numbers, and adverse weather conditions. To mitigate these risks, MSMEs employ strategies such as maintaining backup stock, intensifying marketing efforts, and investing in weather-resistant infrastructure. The application of effective risk management not only helps MSMEs address challenges during the festival but also enhances their competitiveness in the market. Furthermore, government support and collaboration with private entities play a crucial role in overcoming challenges and ensuring the success of the festival. This study contributes to the understanding of risk management practices in MSMEs and highlights the importance of collaboration in promoting sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

This research analyzes best practice policy road pricing in overcoming the negative externalities caused by motorized vehicles in West Java. Negative externalities, such as traffic congestion and air pollution, are major challenges for urban areas in West Java. Through implementation policy studies on road pricing in Singapore and London, this research analyzes the effectiveness of these policies in reducing congestion and improving air quality. The research methods used include literature reviews, policy analysis, and in-depth interviews. The research results show that road pricing can be an effective tool in reducing congestion and air pollution, if there is collaboration with the transportation department, police, and raharja services, adequate technology, effective outreach, and integration with improved public transportation. This policy must be designed holistically by taking into account related opportunities and issues. The role of communication, transparency and an inclusive approach is very important in increasing public acceptance of this policy.

Abstract

The phenomenon of using social media as a new media to meet the needs of information in the community is the result of the rapid development of the internet. Now the needs of the community are easily met, because various things have been contained in it. This can be analyzed based on the phenomenon of trending topics through hashtags on social media twitter using Social Network Analysis (SNA). The purpose of writing this research article is that with so many soap operas in Indonesia that last more than one year on the Indonesian screen, it becomes an interesting thing, but it is not only in the real world, but has become a conversation in cyberspace, Twitter in particular. Using mixed method research methods with actor and network analysis techniques in the quantitative and technical domains of observation, record and descriptive analysis techniques, with Bruno Latour's network study approach. The subjects of the study were the network of actors and the flow of information on the hashtag #IkatanCintaEp1012. The use of Twitter social media as a new media can show networks and actors that make the spread of information and connectivity between fans in the virtual world increasingly stronger and faster in a hashtag network.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine factors that determine competitiveness of PT. AJS Bumiputera Medan in relation to the insurance market in Medan with an emphasis of SOPs and convergence between products and services. In the present study, the research adopted a descriptive qualitative research method of data collection that entailed conducting a series of interviews with in-formants to understand the efficacy of SOPs and service strategies. The study also established that operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are crucial for continual service delivery and keep service contracts regular, but adherence forces organizations to stay rigid in executing processes, thus lacking sufficient strategic maneuverability space to overcome the variety of issues and capture the variety of demands in clients’ growing markets. The paper discusses the degree of standardisation of services and the role of ‘vehicle’ of service encounters, in relation to the flexibility of SOPs to respond to clients’ needs. Besides, the study focuses on the importance of communication in linking product lines with services offered in the organization. One of the external factors is the agent’s capacity to effectively explain the value and the benefits of the insurance products, more especially in relation to the client’s financial status; this is deemed critical in enhancing the exploitation of the market and enhancing the client’s retention especially in a world that is earmarked by economic insecurity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of human resource competence on the quality of financial reports of Local Government Work Units (SKPD), with the government internal control system as a moderating variable. This research adopts an explanatory approach utilizing quantitative methods. The population consists of 38 SKPD holding general functional positions responsible for financial reporting in the West Java Provincial Government. The sampling method employed is census, encompassing the entire population as the research sample. Data collection involves primary data gathered through questionnaires. Hypothesis testing utilizes Moderation Regression Model with the assistance of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25. The findings of this study demonstrate that human resource competence has a positive and significant influence on the quality of SKPD financial reports. However, the government's internal control system does not enhance the influence of human resource competence on the quality of SKPD financial reports. Recommendations stemming from this research include urging the West Java Provincial Government to enhance human resource competence, particularly in accounting cycle skills and regulatory knowledge. Additionally, it is advised to strengthen the Internal Control System (SPIP) with a focus on effective communication of risk management, regular briefing sessions, workload analysis, implementation of measurable rewards and punishments, clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and structured internal control monitoring.
