Journal of Tourism Studies (Jurnal Kepariwisataan/JPAR) is aimed to spread critical analysis from researchers and academic practitioners on various travel and tourism issues local, national and internationally. Abstract

Pengelolaan pengunjung (visitor management) adalah salah salu konsep dalam pengelolaan sebuah obyek dan atraksi wisata yang sangat penting khususnya bagi kepariwisataan di kawasan konservasi. Konsep tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mendidik, menerangkan, mengarahkan dan mengawasi pengunjung sebuah obyek dan atraksi wisata, sehingga pengunjung atau wisatawan memperoleh keamanan, kenyamanan. kemudahan dan kepuasan dalam beraktivitas, seperti dapat menjaga keberlanjutan kawasan konservasi yang memiliki berbagai fungsi yang penting.

Due to marketing orientation shift from market share to customer share and customer lifetime value, personal selling plays a more important role as one of the strategies to increase hotel sales and as an effort to maintain long tern relationship with the customers. this paper will discuss the definitions of the role of and practical ways of executing personal selling.

Abstract

Denpasar city government has planned Badung River as one of the tourism objects for a city tour. however, the plan has not been executed. The main problem is that the river is still very dirty and polluted by waste products. This writing explores the use of the participatory approach, an approach which involves stakeholders such as the local government, private entrepreneurs, nongoverment officers and the young generation (students) to carry out the plan.

Abstract

Nomadic tourism atau wisata nomad merupakan terminologi yang belum lazim digunakan dalam kepariwisataan Bali.Model kegiatan wisata dalam bentuk wisata nomad, memberikan alternatif baru dalam pengembangan pariwisata Bali, khsususnya kabupaten Badung. Kajian dan pendekatan teori konsep terhadap nomadic tourism, wisata pendidikan, digitalisasi dan wisata event dilakukan untuk mendapatkan model pengembangan destinasi wisata Bali secara umum. Kajian ini akan mengungkap secara teoritis peran penting dari sinergi wisata nomad (nomadic tourism), wisata pendidikan, digitalisasi dan event dalam menggerakkan roda perekonomian destinasi dengan bisnis homestay yang dikelolanya. Observasi lapangan dan pengumpulan data primer- sekunder dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang bermanfaat terkait Badung sebagai destinasi yang mendukung wisata nomad.Hasil akhir penelitian ini adalah implikasi pengembangan nomadic tourism, wisata pendidikan, digitalisasi dan event budaya terhadap pengembangan destinasi wisata di kabupaten Badung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan silvercraft class sebagai salah satu atraksi wisata minat khusus melalui pelibatan masyarakat pengrajin perak guna dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat pengrajin serta menghargai hasil kreatifitas desain para pengrajin melalui proses pembuatan yang cukup rumit dan panjang. Selain itu agar ciri khas motif kerajinan perak yang menjadi warisan budaya masyarakat Celuk tidak hilang, maka diperlukan suatu \ strategi pengembangan yang dikemas dengan berpedoman pada sosial budaya masyarakat setempat.Sehingga pengembangan yang diterapkan dapat berlandaskan pariwisata berbasis kemasyarakatan.Strategi pengembangan pada penelitian dibantu dengan menggunakan analisis situasi internal dan eksternal dan analisis SWOT sehingga nanti dapat diberikan suatu rekomendasi dan penetapan kebijakan terkait pengembangan kegiatan wisata silvercraft class ini. Data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif yang merupakan hasil observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi.Penentuan informan berdasarkan metode purposive sampling yang terdiri dari Kepala Desa Celuk, pengrajin emas &pPerak, dan pemilik artshop emas & perak.

Abstract

The priority of tourism development in Indonesia covers the development of home stay, digitization, and air connectivity. The purpose of this study is to explore the utilization of ICT in its relation to distribution channels used by home stay owners in Ubud as a form of small-medium business owned by local communities. Data collection techniques used were stratified random sampling, secondary research, focus group discussion and in-depth interview. Through qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, the results of this study concluded that most of home stays in Ubud is familiar with ICT and has now become a major distribution channel that contributes greatly to the occupancy of home stay.

Abstract

The increasing of hotel in tourism area of Nusa Dua has generated tight emulationlevel in hotel business. Intention of this research to identify and analyse environmental factor of internal and eksternal business for choosing the alternative pursuant strategy precisely by using technique analyse data qualitative. There are 10 factors becoming weakness and strength which is 5 factors becoming strength consist of strategic location, owning strong brand, many amount of room, competitif product price, traditional building concept and original Bali and 5 weakness factors are including old building age, room need rejuvenation, less adapting with new technology, less effective communications and less in exploiting of product potency. There are also 9 factors becoming threat and opportunity that is 5 factors becoming opportunity of Hotel Melia Bali which is including stable Indonesia economics, and new market segment as MICE. . Election of marketing strategy alternative pursuant to result of environmental analysis of business use SWOT Matrix and Ansoff Matrix.There are 3 especials marketing strategy which yielded that creates new packages and innovationin the form of product for special events (wedding, meeting and incentive).

Abstract

Perkembangan Industri pariwisata sudah menjadi komoditas bisnis andalan di berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia. Selain potensi wisata yang besar, keindahan alam, dan kekayaan budaya, banyaknya perhelatan bertaraf nasional maupun internasional menyebabkan Indonesia, khususnya Bali, semakin dikenal wisatawan domestik maupun internasional. Salah satu perhelatan yang diselenggarakan di Bali yaitu Legian Beach Festival, yang diselenggarakan di Desa Legian, Kecamatan Kuta, Badung, Bali. Legian Beach Festival sudah diselenggarakan sebanyak 9 kali, adapun tujuan dari kegiatan tersebut untuk mempromosikan Desa Legian sebagai salah satu tujuan wisata. Legian Beach Festival terselenggara tidak terlepas dari peran serta masyarakat lokal Legian untuk ikut serta bergabung dan berperan aktif dengan tujuan meningkatkanperekonomian warga Desa Legian terutama usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) milik warga lokal.
