Abstract

This research to analyze the marketing strategy of Haura Mart supermarket in facing competition, namely by using the Marketing Mix (7P) method and the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results) if you want to increase sales. Marketing Mix consists of Product, Price, Place, Promotion, Physical Evidence, People, and Process which are used to identify the most dominant factors in marketing objectives. while the SOAR method is the result of the analysis of the most dominant or influential factors of the marketing mix strategy (7P). The results of this study found that the most influential on the Marketing Mix method was  from the results of the t-test, it was found that the factors that influenced sales volume were place with a t-value of 2.784, promotion with a t-value of 2.902, people with a t-value of 2.630, and process with a t-value of 2.133. This is because t-value > t-table (1.986). And SOAR calculations with the result of the total IFE matrix score is 3.518 and the total EFE matrix score is 3.737.So that the SA method, OA method, SR approach, and OR method marketing mixare the most effective strategies to increase Haura Mart supermarket sales in facing competition.

Abstract

Concealer x packaging still has shortcomings in its packaging from the applicator which makes it difficult to use, the packaging design is uncomfortable for consumers, and the visual design is less informative. This is a challenge in developing concealer x packaging by considering consumer preferences. The purpose of this study is to identify the concept and elements of packaging design according to consumer preferences. Kansei Engineering is one of the methods used to optimize the identification of consumer preferences. This method can capture consumer emotions in the form of Kansei words which are translated into concepts and elements of packaging design. Other supporting methods used are Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Quantification Theory Type 1 (QTT1). The results obtained were 61 selected samples and 35 Kansei words. The samples and Kansei words were then evaluated by creating a semantic differential questionnaire for 30 respondents by purpose judgment sampling. The results of the concept obtained by the PCA method were 4 PCs with PC 2 selected as the practical standard because it had the highest R-square value of 0.911. The results of the packaging design elements obtained are X1.1 Strew X2.9 Concave X3.6 Jug X4.3 Half Tube X5.4 Heptagon X6.2 Brush and Sponge X7.5 Silicon X8.1 Fun X9.1 Small 1 - 5 gr X10.1 Under. The conclusion of the packaging design obtained has described practical packaging following the design concept and meets consumer preferences.

Abstract

Companies involved in production activities consistently strive to achieve their strategic objectives, with profit maximization being one of the primary goals for maintaining competitiveness and ensuring long-term business sustainability. This goal can be pursued through optimal production planning, one of which involves the application of the Simplex Method (SM). The Simplex Method is a mathematical algorithm designed to solve Linear Programming (LP) problems, which focus on optimizing a linear objective function while accounting for various resource-related constraints. This paper presents a systematic literature review on the implementation of the Simplex Method for profit optimization in the manufacturing sector. A total of 30 relevant research articles published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed, sourced from reputable academic databases such as Google Scholar and ScienceDirect. The findings demonstrate that the Simplex Method offers substantial benefits, including improved resource allocation, cost reduction, enhanced decision-making capabilities, increased productivity, and support for data-driven operational efficiency. These advantages underscore the method’s effectiveness as a quantitative decision-support tool in strategic industrial planning. The review also highlights the broad applicability of the Simplex Method across various countries and industrial sectors, particularly in food, automotive, chemical, and textile manufacturing. As the manufacturing landscape transitions into the era of Industry 4.0, it is strongly recommended that future research explores the integration of the Simplex Method with emerging technologies such as Big Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), and Hybrid Optimization Models to further enhance industrial competitiveness, adaptability, and sustainability.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety is something that cannot be separated in human resources where occupational health and safety includes preventing accidents due to work, securing materials, carrying out maintenance to improve living standards and increase productivity. At the Pak Budi tofu factory, employees have not used Personal Protective Equipment in the production process and the unstructured layout causes work accidents on the production floor. This study aims to conduct an OHS assessment at the Pak Budi tofu factory and redesign the facility layout to reduce work accidents so that the production process is more effective and efficient. The methods used in this research are HIRARC and Blocplan Algorithm. The results of the OHS assessment at the Pak Budi tofu factory show 2 activities with a medium risk level and one activity with a low risk level, in the redesign of the facility layout the distance of material movement in the initial layout is 19.2 m and the distance of material movement in the proposed layout is 11.7 meters where there is a difference in the distance of material movement of 7.5 meters, this shows that the proposed layout can be applied to the Pak Budi tofu factory.
