Abstract

Friday, January 15 2021 at 02:28:21 Local Time, a tectonic earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in Mamuju Regency. The epicenter of the earthquake was on land and at 38 km in depth, 6 km to the northeast of Majene, West Sulawesi Province. This earthquake has damaged buildings such as the West Sulawesi Governor’s Office, the Mitra Manakara Hospital, and landslides at several points on Mamuju – Majene highway. The purpose of this research is to determine the post-earthquake damage that occurred in Mamuju Regency and to find out the area that was detected because of the earthquake. By using Sentinel-1 satellite image data and the change detection method from two Sentinel-1 SAR images, ESA SNAP software is used for data processing by using a threshold classification on the images before and after the earthquake, then converting Raster to Vector, Clip according to the boundaries of Mamuju Regency and Layouts using ArcGIS software. The results of this study are the detection of the post-earthquake damage that occurred in Mamuju Regency of 100.64 km2 (14.78%) total area of damage detected. This research also obtained post-earthquake damage detection maps.

Global uncertainty causes uncertain developments in the world economy. Various issues of the global economic crisis threaten various countries. Realizing this, Indonesia, through the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has begun to make efforts to maintain the stability of the country's economy by focusing its foreign policy direction on economic diplomacy. This research will try to analyze typology mapping of Indonesia's economic diplomacy to identify the management of Indonesia's economic diplomacy as an effort to improve the practice of economic diplomacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis methods and data collection techniques with documentary research and internet-based research. This research uses the Typology of economic diplomacy Rana because it can identify the capacity management of Indonesia's economic diplomacy as a developing country. This article shows that Indonesia has progressed well in carrying out economic diplomacy and has entered an evolving phase in the majority. This shows that the management of Indonesian Diplomacy has adapted to the opportunities that exist in carrying out its economic diplomacy. This article also finds that Indonesia is still on niche-focused typology that means Indonesia focus on carrying out economic diplomacy in certain parts and has not yet begun to open its market to other potentials. Finally, Indonesia has reached the initiative in the regional category which shows that Indonesia already has an influential role at the regional level.

Abstract

Balikpapan is a city in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, serving as a business and industrial center with the largest economy on the island of Kalimantan. The Teritip Dam has multiple purposes, including flood control and addressing the clean water crisis caused by a lack of raw water sources. The demand for clean water will continue to increase with population growth. This study aims to determine the contribution of the Teritip Dam in meeting the community's clean water needs through the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) of Balikpapan. The study also seeks to provide input for potential contributions and conservation efforts. The analysis of domestic clean water demand involves evaluating the condition of clean water, identifying the supply and demand of clean water, analyzing population projections, and estimating the volume of clean water needed by the population. The study findings indicate that the Teritip reservoir provides a discharge of 8,891 m3/day, fulfilling only 14.3% of the clean water demand in Balikpapan. Therefore, implementing water resource conservation measures is crucial to meet the water demand in Balikpapan. These conservation activities include improving the supervision of water withdrawal and usage by considering conservation interests, raising public awareness about water issues, and controlling groundwater use for new drilling activities, particularly in critical groundwater areas.

Abstract

The research was conducted to analyze the financial performance of coal subsector energy sector companies, including PT Bukit Asam (Tbk) and PT Indo Tambangarya Megah (Tbk), with financial ratio analysis and Du Pont System. This study used balance sheet and income statement data from 2019 to 2022 from both companies and conducted financial ratio analysis on liquidity, activity, profitability, solvency, and with the Du Pont System. The results of the financial ratio analysis show that both companies have experienced an increase in the current ratio over the past four years, with a more significant increase occurring in ITMG. However, PTBA experienced fluctuations in the current ratio value. Both companies also experienced an increase in cash ratio in 2020. In addition, the total asset turnover ratio decreased in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but in 2021 it increased due to increased production. The financial performance of the two companies is generally quite good with stable and good ratio values in the profitability ratio. Both companies also have good solvency ratios, with relatively low Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Debt to Asset Ratio. From the Du Pont analysis, in general, the performance of PT ITMG compared to PTBA is relatively better in terms of ROE and ROI Du Pont.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a thorough literature review to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and characteristics of good corporate governance in public hospitals. In February of 2022, a comprehensive evaluation of research findings published between 2018 and 2022 was conducted for this study. This study analyzed 51 documents after the screening procedure, of which 12 were relevant and 39 were irrelevant. The findings of this study indicated that the growth of hospital governance in Indonesia is primarily tied to patient satisfaction and hospital performance. In these studies, variables such as transparency accountability responsibility, independence, and impartiality are frequently mentioned, but organizational culture is also a crucial aspect of hospital governance. This study also identified the factors that facilitate or impede hospital governance implementation in Indonesia, particularly in public hospitals. Uncertainty in the regulations and laws regulating the implementation of public/government hospital governance is one of the contributing factors. Improving the implementation of hospital governance is crucial for improving the efficacy of Indonesian hospitals. By casting light on the key characteristics and challenges of hospital governance, the study provides valuable insights that can assist policymakers, healthcare administrators, and other stakeholders in enhancing corporate governance practices in public hospitals.

Abstract

Vocational Higher Education in providing quality vocational higher education is inseparable from its education model that implements PBET (Production Based Education and Training). To support this educational model, Vocational Higher Education has an educational facility called the Learning Factory. The concept of Learning Factory is facing challenges due to the extraordinary events post of the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizational strategic management is needed in relaxing concepts and activities related to the learning factory in Vocational Higher Education. Organizations must be able to formulate strategic policies that focus on the health and safety of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Relaxation is a way or action to align the mind in a constructive direction so that what you want can be achieved. The main changes needed in Learning Factory Relaxation are the Implementation Model and the Learning Matrix. Both require Authorization in a process that supports teaching activities and the desired result. Therefore, principles are needed to support the achievement of modules that are open to the entire learning process and make prototypes for vocational students. As a form of a new breakthrough with technology in the industrial sector and getting around the adaptation of new habits during the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning process must be developed more innovatively and continues to be productive for the sake of mutual welfare. In realizing adaptive relaxation, it is necessary to focus on assessing the functions of Technoware, Infoware, Humanware, and Organware (THIO) as tools that Vocational Higher Education can use to improve services to stakeholders.
