Abstract

Enhancing the quality of education in the digital era faces challenges, particularly in remote areas such as SATAP Besakolka in the South-Central Timor Regency. The low English proficiency among students in this region is often attributed to limited access to interactive, technology-based learning resources, leading to decreased motivation and poor learning outcomes. To address this gap, an innovative learning medium is required to capture student interest and facilitate comprehension effectively. This study aims to develop and empirically test the effectiveness of a learning medium that integrates Articulate Storyline with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Specifically, this research was designed to measure the significant difference in students' English abilities before and after the intervention and to determine the level of the medium's effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. This research employed a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects were 30 third-grade students at SATAP Besakolka, selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through an objective test (multiple-choice) administered as a pretest and posttest, with the instrument having undergone expert validity testing. The collected data were statistically analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test for the hypothesis and the Normalized Gain Score (N-Gain) to measure effectiveness. The data analysis revealed a statistically significant improvement in students' English language abilities. The Paired Sample t-Test yielded a significant value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming a tangible difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Furthermore, the N-Gain calculation resulted in a score of 0.6912, indicating that the improvement in student learning outcomes falls within the "moderate" effectiveness category. Based on these findings, it is concluded that the use of a learning medium based on Articulate Storyline combined with AR is proven to be effective in enhancing students' English language skills. This innovation offers a practical and promising solution to enrich the learning experience and is adaptable for other schools facing similar challenges of limited facilities.

Abstract

This study analyzes the mediating role of financial behavior in the relationship between Islamic financial literacy and fintech experience on the financial well-being of university students in Banda Aceh. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a structured survey involving 395 active students and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-AMOS). The findings show that Islamic financial literacy and fintech experience have significant direct and indirect effects on financial well-being, with financial behavior functioning as a strong mediator. Students with higher Islamic financial literacy tend to demonstrate more prudent, ethical, and Sharia-compliant financial actions that contribute to better financial outcomes. Meanwhile, extensive fintech experience enhances efficiency in financial management, yet its impact becomes optimal only when accompanied by disciplined financial behavior. The integrated model developed in this study successfully explains 80.6% of the variation in students’ financial well-being, indicating the strong influence of cognitive, experiential, and behavioral factors compared to demographic variables. These results highlight the importance of strengthening financial education, particularly by combining Islamic financial principles with digital financial literacy, to support students in navigating financial challenges in the digital era. The study also provides implications for educators, policymakers, and fintech providers in designing targeted interventions that promote responsible financial practices among young adults.

Abstract

Peatland Forest fires are one of the main causes of high concentrations of particulate matter and gases, especially PM2.5 and carbon monoxide (CO). Particles of PM2.5 are very small, so they can enter directly into the human lungs, as well as high concentrations of CO will affect the concentration of carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) in human blood, so it can cause decreased vision, hearing, and death. Monitoring of particulate and gas concentrations is carried out, to increase the concern of all levels of society, so as not to burn forests and peatlands in the dry season, be careful in carrying out all activities outside the home during peatland forest fires, especially vulnerable ages such as infants, children, pregnant, people with congenital diseases and the elderly. The sensor tools used are P-Sensor for recording PM2.5 concentration and EL-USB-CO sensor for recording carbon monoxide (CO) concentration placed at UPT Laboratorium Lahan Gambut – CIMTROP University of Palangka Raya and north-west at PERUM PEMDA Km 10 Cilik Riwut, Palangka Raya for 2 months during forest and peatland fires in September and October 2023. Data is tabulated and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. T-test result of PM2.5 and CO concentration during the rainy season and dry season (peatland forest fire) is p-value < 0,05 at UPT LLG – CIMTROP dan Perum Pemda Km 10 Cilik Riwut. The PM2.5 concentration in UPT LLG – CIMTROP during the peatland forest fires 2023 is 700.24 μg/m3, while the CO concentration is 7,446 μg/m3 (6.5 ppm). The PM2.5 concentration at the PERUM PEMDA Km 10 Cilik Riwut is 333.39 μg/m3, while the CO concentration is 26,439 μg/m3 (23 ppm). PM2.5 concentrations in UPT LLG – CIMTROP are higher, but CO concentrations are lower than those in PERUM PEMDA Km. 10 Cilik Riwut, possibly caused by wind direction effect, vegetation, fuel, and other sources such as vehicle fumes in respective locations.

Abstract

Improving the quality of public health is a national priority, one of which is through the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program launched by President Prabowo. However, the emergence of cases of MBG poisoning in several areas, including Palangkaraya, confirms the need for a more in-depth evaluation of program governance. Studies on MBG with William N. Dunn's evaluation approach are still limited, six indicators of Dunn's evaluation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative case study method through observation, interviews, and documentation of 10 informants consisting of teachers, students, guardians, and SPPG. Analysis using Nvivo 12 was conducted to identify patterns, barriers, and opportunities for improvement. The results show that the structure of target groups and beneficiaries indicates that the implementation of MBG is not linear, but interdependent, where the success of each actor depends on the contribution of other actors in the policy chain. The most dominant dimension of the causal mechanism is the readiness of inputs, especially adequate human resources. However, strengthening the aspects of funding (activities), logistics and volunteer work intensity (outputs), menu variations (outcomes), and feedback mechanisms are still needed (impact). These findings affirm the importance of continuous coordination between actors to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of MBG as a strategic instrument in improving the quality of human resources since elementary school.

Abstract

This research explores the meaning of accountability and the fundamental challenges arising during the transition from a manual reporting system to a formal accounting system in a non-bank Islamic property developer. Utilizing a qualitative approach with an in-depth design, the researcher served as a participant-observer for over five months at PT. Pandawa Lima Development in South Sulawesi. Data collection involved triangulation of semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and document analysis to ensure validity. The findings identify the existence of a "logic of blessing" as the dominant rationality replacing conventional market logic, manifested in the owner's migration story and the company's ability to survive three years without sales, interpreted as divine help. The formalization challenge was not merely technical but an intensive sense-making process to translate intuition-based practices into an inflexible account code structure. The study highlights that accounting formalization in this context is a negotiation between spiritual values and technical rigidity. This research contributes to the literature by providing bottom-up empirical data on accounting practices in non-banking Islamic entities and offers practical insights for integrating spiritual values into formal reporting systems without eroding the organization's unique ethos.
