Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the meaning of social criticism in the lyrics of the song "Generasi Rapuh" ZIMA Band, with an analysis of Van Dijk's critical discourse. This research uses a qualitative method with Teun A. Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis Theory approach which describes discourse into three dimensions, namely: the text dimension, the social cognition dimension, and the social context dimension. Data collection techniques in this research used library research and interviews. The results of research on text analysis show that the theme raised from the song "Generasi Rapuh" can be seen from the chorus or chorus about the current generation who have a weak mentality and are easily hurt, which has become a trend for many people. In social cognition, the results of researchers' interviews with songwriters regarding songwriters' anxiety regarding the problem of moral decadence that occurs in the current generation are obtained. in a social context, through the song "Generasi Rapuh" the songwriter tries to convey his criticism with social reality or facts that occur in people's lives.

Abstract

Indonesian have a habit of throwing rubbish carelessly. Waste really pollutes the environment and affects the global climate, Indonesia is the third country contributing plastic waste in the world in 2020. The government does not care about environmental issues. This research aims to determine the influence of a group or community on behavior change in terms of developing a healthy environment in society. The waste problem in Indonesia is difficult to deal with, throwing rubbish carelessly is the culture in Indonesia, regulations regarding waste in Indonesia are not enforced enough. According to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, only 20% of Indonesian people care about waste. People are used to throwing rubbish carelessly, such as into rivers and beaches. Lack of knowledge about waste processing. The rules regarding waste are only normative. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods, as well as three paradigms in communicating change for development. First, Behavior Change Communication, Communication for Social Change, Advocacy Communication. Pandawara Group uses social media to influence society. With the Pandawara Group going viral, many people were inspired and took part in cleaning rivers and beaches. The local government participates in supporting Pandawara activities. Many people are interested in this movement, but this is only temporary, without strict sanctions and self-awareness, the behavior of littering continues to occur

Abstract

Craftsmen of various typical Baduy products have experienced a decline in income since the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first year of the pandemic, visits to Baduy were still relatively high with 20,319 local tourists and 8 foreign tourists in 2020. Then visits shrank to 6,274 tourists throughout 2021. This article aims to see how marketing communications are applied in a more effective effort to increase tourist visits to recovery using a social phenomena approach with qualitative analysis. The results found show that an integrated approach, combining soft selling and hard selling, has succeeded in improving the economy of the Baduy community by increasing the number of visitors by 22%, especially in the context of revitalizing their traditional weaving industry. The pattern of interaction developed by the Baduy community towards tourists is active interaction, either face to face or in groups, where storytelling about Baduy culture and historical values attracts tourists in buying souvenirs and natural products from the Baduy community.

Abstract

This research focuses on the emergence of messages in the media in the form of religious moderation which aims to provide teaching related to moderation knowledge to viewers who are experiencing a crisis in terms of understanding and implementing religious moderation such as intolerance towards the implementation of other religious worship in the current era. The aim of this research is to find out and understand the concept of religious moderation  in Pemuda Tersesat content. The subject of this research is the Pemuda Tersesat YouTube channel. This research uses Rolland Barthes' semiotic analysis which includes denotation, connotation and myth. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques use Library Research and Digital Research. The results of the research show that there is moderation in connotation, denotation and myth. The emergence of moderation varies in media by giving rise to the moderation that exists in today's society. As for religious moderation, in connotation, denotation and myth, there are values of moderation, understanding each other, respecting other people's beliefs, and doing justice to everyone. The emergence of religious moderation has become a middle way for various religious adherents as well as a solution so that every religious community does not have radical and intolerant views.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana strategi komunikasi Salam TV dalam menyiarkan program Kisah Teladan kepada para khalayak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Onong Uchjana Effendy yang melibatkan elemen- elemen komunikasi seperti komunikator, komunikan, pesan, media, dan efek media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Salam TV menggunakan strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam menyiarkan program Kisah Teladan. Komunikator, yaitu presenter program, dipilih berdasarkan pengetahuan dan keahlian mereka dalam menyampaikan pesan moral dan religius. Komunikan, yaitu para khalayak, diidentifikasi sebagai masyarakat umum yang membutuhkan konten inspiratif dan edukatif. Pesan media disusun dengan baik, menggabungkan narasi yang menarik dengan nilai-nilai keislaman yang mendalam. Efek media yang diharapkan dari strategi ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman dan keimanan khalayak terhadap ajaran agama Islam, serta motivasi untuk mengambil teladan dari kisah-kisah yang disampaikan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya strategi komunikasi yang tepat dalam menyampaikan pesan moral dan religius melalui media massa, seperti televisi, untuk mencapai tujuan edukasi dan dakwah yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

This research discusses the planning and implementation of innovative da'wah carried out by the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (BKPRMI) in an effort to strengthen youth religious development in Tanjung Tiram District. Adolescents are one group that requires special attention in religious formation. However, the challenges faced in presenting da'wah that is relevant to current developments are something that cannot be ignored. The method in this research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research reveals effective strategies implemented by BKPRMI in carrying out da'wah that is relevant to current developments. The research results show that BKPRMI has carried out careful planning in facing challenges and BKPRMI has implemented various innovations in da'wah, such as the use of digital media, mentoring programs and social religious activities specifically designed to attract the interest of teenagers. Apart from that, collaboration with schools, local communities and parents is also the key to success in this coaching program. The challenges faced include limited resources, resistance from some teenagers, and lack of support from several related parties.

Abstract

This article uses a qualitative type of virtual ethnography method and literature review in obtaining the main data derived from the results of searching, collecting, and processing fifty reputable national and international scientific journals, general and religious-based online news websites, and social media platforms. Indonesian society has lived together in a socio-religious context with an atmosphere of peace, tolerance in the frame of diversity, and prioritizing the values of religiosity. However, this peace and harmony has turned into conflict, hostility and discrimination triggered by political elites using religion through identity politics and politicization of religion to gain power in elections. The conclusion of this research is that there must be a series of strategies by the government, religious leaders, and plural communities in moderating the digital world and cross-cultural religious literacy based on digitalization in the form of massive and inclusive positive content. Echoing the political narrative of humanity which is the spirit of politics, until finally a soothing social and digital media climate is created without any negative tendencies that become seeds of discrimination and conflict when elections come.

Abstract

Proses komunikasi terjadi di semua tempat, baik di kalangan orang-orang yang berpendidikan maupun di kalangan masyarakat primitif yang tidak mengenal pendidikan sama sekali, komunikasi yang ada di lingkungan keluarga salah satunya menggunakan komunikasi interpersonal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dan anak dalam memberikan pola asuh di Desa Bunton Jenggot. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Bunton Dusun Jenggot RT 01 RW 02 Adipala, Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Peneliti mengambil tempat tersebut karena memiliki potensi yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian, latar belakang pekerjaan orang tua yang berbeda membuat komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dengan anak berbeda sehingga orang tua memberikan pola asuh yang berbeda-beda. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah obsevasi, wawancara, dan dokunentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa komunikasi interpersonal orang tua yang berada di rumah berjalan dengan efektif untuk memberikan pola asuh pada anak, namun komunikasi orang tua yang bekerja di luar negeri dan di luar kota berjalan kurang efektif sehingga hal tersebut menumbulkan dampak negatif pada komunikasi interpersonal anak.

Abstract

This research discusses the documentary film "Dirty Vote" which successfully shocked the world of politics in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research by producing descriptive data. Researchers use Zongdan Pan & Kosicki's Framing analysis to see how the reality of the issue of fraud in the 2024 Election is structured, told, written and emphasized in the construction of a documentary film. The conclusions obtained from this research can be divided into four major structures, including: (1) Syntactic Structure, the film Dirty Vote tells about democracy which cannot be interpreted as limited to the implementation of elections and tells about power being misused; (2) The structure of the script prepared in the film Dirty Vote starts from a vote survey which shows symptoms of transactional politics, political practices of retribution, violations of integrity pacts, mass mobilization efforts in GBK, cases of corruption in village funds, intimidation of village heads, misuse and increase of budget funds. significant social assistance ahead of the election, the non-neutrality of the President and State Apparatus, Bawaslu failing to supervise the election, various KPU violations and the controversial Constitutional Court decision; (3) Thematic structure, shown in the narrative where it is stated that this victory has been planned and arranged in a structured, systematic and massive manner over the last 10 years and is controlled by power holders who can move the state apparatus and budget; (4) Rhetorical structure, Dandhy as the director wants to emphasize Jokowi's expressions which are very different from the current situation, where all his children are involved in the world of politics. However, it should be remembered that this film has no influence on the results of the 2024 presidential election recapitulation by the KPU which stated that the Prabowo – Gibran pair received the most votes in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to understand and analyze the representation of characters in the 2023 Barbie movie, demonstrating signs of feminism. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Through semiotic analysis, the representation of female characters in the 2023 Barbie movie, showing signs of feminism, can be understood more deeply. This approach allows researchers to interpret various objects and their relationships as communication symbols. The abstract serves as a summary of the entire article. The research findings indicate that in several scenes in the Barbie movie, there are conflicts and feminist movements within Barbie's character, advocating for her desire to reclaim Barbieland, which has been seized by Ken and transformed into Kendomland. There are several messages conveyed in the Barbie movie, particularly concerning gender equality between men and women in society. Over time, women are no longer confined to household chores but can pursue their desires and dreams. The feminist movement must be carried out in societal life to eliminate the gap between men and women.
