AL-FALAH: Journal of Islamic Economics is scientific journal of Islamic Economics based on both conceptual and empirical research. It concerns to extensively publish the issues of islamic economics which study through interdiscipline perspectives such as fiqh, shariah finance, islamic bank, islamic development economics, and also economic sociology. The journal is published by Curup State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), Bengkulu, Indonesia. Published twice in a year, on June and December, the journal of Al-Falah is projected as a media, sphere, and dessemination of scholars studies on islamic economics issues. Therefore, Al-Falah invites all of participants, scholars, researchers, and Muslim economists to submit their best-papers, and publish it in Al-Falah: Journal of Islamic Economics.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper examines consumer behavior, specifically the Indonesian society's preference for making halal tourism in the Riau region a tourism destination.Design/Method/Approach: The methodology applied in this research is quantitative with the SEM-PLS approach. Sampling was done using purposive sampling method. The number of respondents involved was 256 people with an age range of 16 to 55 years old. This study adopts variables based on the Theory of Planned Behavior, which identifies three exogenous latent variables (ɛ), namely Attitude, Subjective Norm, and Perceived Behavioral Control. Meanwhile, the endogenous latent variable (η) in this research is the Preference for Halal Tourism.Findings: The results of this study revealed that the perceived behavioral control variable has the largest, positive, and significant influence.Originality/Values: The implications of this research can assist in the development of the halal tourism industry in Indonesia, particularly in the Riau region. Industry players and stakeholders can take steps and policies to enhance aspects such as subjective norms and perceived behavioral control to meet tourists' preferences. Academics can also contribute to advancing digital literacy, research, and innovation in the halal industry, thereby making a significant contribution to the dynamic and innovative digital ecosystem within the halal value chain.

Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to criticize the consumption theory concept of the classical economist revolutionary John Maynard Keynes, with the theory of consumption in his book Al-Kasb belonging to Asy Syaibani, a figure who contributed to the Islamic economy, and the originator of the first work classification system.Design/Method/Approach: This study uses library research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are form of collecting information data through books, journals, websites, and important documents related to research.Findings: The result of this study found that Keynes argued that current disposable income has a significant impact on current consumption. According to Keynes there is a minimal consumption limitation, it is independent of one's amount of income. This indicates that even if income is zero, the level of consuming must be maintained. His theory actually contends is a rational economy that influences individual consumption, income distribution, and also goes to hinder the growth of the national economy.Originality/Values: The contribution of this study is to see how Muslim consumers can act more rationally when they want to release some of their economic consumption, increase material and spiritual satisfaction. With ifaq consumption or issuing zakat can play a significant part as an economic stabilizer among Muslims.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aim for now intention generation Z in inner DKI Jakarta buy halal medicines with use theory action planning (TPB) through attitudes, norms subjective and control perceived behavior, with halal certificate as variable mediation.Design/Method/Approach: This research use approach quantitative with primary data. Data collection techniques use questionnaires / questionnaires distributed online via Google from, and data analysis using SEM.Findings: Research result This show that attitudes, norms subjective and control behavior influential positive and significant to intention buy halal medicines. However, attitudes, norms subjective and controlled perceived behavior No influential in a way positive and significant to intention buy halal medicines with halal certificate as variable mediation. Apart from that, there is no halal certificate either influential to intention buy halal medicines. So that whether there is or not halal certificate in A drug No will influence intention somebody in buy halal medicines.Originality/Values: Contribution in study This is for see is intention buy halal medicines with halal certificate as variable mediation can influence intention generation Z in inner DKI Jakarta buy halal medicines

Abstract

Purpose: Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country. The state must be able to provide protection to its citizens to carry out religious teachings. One of the obligations of Muslims is to consume halal food/drinks. Consumer Protection Law No. 8/1999 then Law No.  33/2014 on Halal Product Assurance is access for Muslim consumers to obtain halal products.Design/Method/Approach: This research is a type of qualitative research that aims to find out how the condition of halal products in the jangek cracker industry and to find out how the Halal Protection Guarantee Law imitates the absence of halal certification in the jangek cracker industry in Medan Deli DistrictFindings: The results of this study show that the products marketed by the industry are true not to have halal certification on the grounds that the manufacturer states that this industry is only a cottage industry that is not required for halal certification. If viewed from the aspect of Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning JPH that the absence of halal certification in the jangek cracker industry in Medan Deli District has violated article 4 of the JPH Law which requires all products marketed to go through halal certification except for products that are derived from haram ingredients, besides that the above problems also result in the loss of consumer rights that have been regulated by law.Originality/Values: The research will provide guarantees for legal protection of Muslim consumer rights against products that are not halal, but also increase the selling value of business actors' products, because consumers will no longer hesitate to buy products traded by business actors.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to examine the variables of zakat literacy, trust, and religiousness on Muzakki's decision to pay zakat at LAZ Solopeduli. The study also seeks to explore whether altruism can moderate these three variables in influencing Muzakki's decision to pay zakat at LAZ Solopeduli.Design/Method/Approach : This study utilizes a quantitative method assisted by SEM-PLS software to test statistical hypotheses. The sample size consists of 105 Muzakki respondents.Findings: The research findings indicate that zakat literacy, trust, and religiousness have a positive and significant impact on Muzakki's decision to pay zakat. However, the altruism variable is unable to moderate zakat literacy, trust, and religiousness in influencing Muzakki's decision to pay zakat. On the other hand, the religious obligations and basic understanding of zakat drive Muzakki to consistently pay zakat at LAZ Solopeduli, not influenced by other factors such as environmental conditions or altruistic attitudes.Originality/Values: This study is the first to introduce altruism as a variable to examine Muzakki's decision to pay zakat at an official zakat institution

Abstract

Purpose: The majority of people in Aceh Province are Muslims, and the region strictly adheres to Sharia law, particularly in the halal products sector. With a focus on Aceh region, this study attempts to assess growth, obstacles, and solutions in the development of the halal business and halal goods in Indonesia.Design/Method/Approach: This study employed qualitative approaches to find material from secondary sources, including books, journals, and national statistics organizations, and to gather data.Findings: The provincial administration of Aceh has worked to establish the halal market and halal goods as an important economic driver.Originality/Values: The number of visits from visitors, particularly those from outside, is rising year after year, which reflects this expansion. The administration of Aceh province anticipates advantages from this research in the growth of the halal sector and halal goods.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze NJOP data collection and how data collection capabilities can increase the achievement of PBB targets in the Bukit Indah City Purwakarta area. The data source in this research was obtained from interviews with informants who are experts in the field of land and building taxes.Design/Method/Approach: The method used is descriptive qualitative, namely describing the results of the analysis in the form of descriptions from interviews and literature reviews, as well as case studies. Analysis of research results using the NVivo 12 Plus applicationFindings: Research findings show thatThe implementation of NJOP data collection in Purwakarta district has been carried out since 2014, but NJOP data collection is still selective, namely only carried out in several areas/areas of Bukit Indah City/Besland (BIC) and surrounding areas.Achievement of PBB targets at the Purwakarta Regency Regional Revenue Agency, to dateThe Purwakarta district government has made efforts to increase PBB P2 revenues in particular, by providing regulations to facilitate Bapenda's activities.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the urgency of gold (e-gold or digital gold) invested for economic recovery after Covid-19 pandemic.Design/Method/Approach: This study applied descriptive qualitative with a literature review approach. The data collected through documentation from authoritative agent on investment business and observation on economic turbulence during the days of Covid-19 pandemic. The data obtained from market review reports, finance symposium summary, economic and business news, article journals, and some relevant books. While the data analysis technique developed base on conclusion drawing technique in order to fine out a systematical analysis as well as objective conclusion.Findings: The results show that gold investment is really recommended because more profitable and gold performed relatively better than many other assets in the early pandemic stages. Besides, the digital transaction was appointed in the Qur’an, Hadith and `Ijma’. Meanwhile, there are two opinions regarding allowance and prohibition related to digital gold investment. First, it is forbidden due to the payment by credit not cash. In addition to the four madzhabs' opinion, this transaction must be complied the cash transaction requirements in order to prevent the usury. The second is Ibn Taimiyah's opinion and DSN-MUI regulation shown that as long as the transaction fulfills the requirement, it is allowed.Originality/Values: The main contribution of this study concern on filling the gap of how urgency the e-gold investment for recovering the economic impact of pandemic and how e-gold investment according to the Islamic economic perspective.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze the meaning, management, impact of implementation, and formulate ideas for developing entrepreneurship in the Sharia Economics Study Program at IAIN Curup.Design/Method/Approach: This field research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The primary data sources in this research are the chairman, secretary, Sharia Economics Study Program staff, and HMPS Sharia Economics students. The data collection techniques used is observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques go through the stages of reading all the data, compiling data, knowing general patterns of data, grouping data, conclusions, and triangulation.Findings: The research results show that students see entrepreneurship as creating, developing and managing businesses for profit. Preparation for business, characteristics of entrepreneurs and ICT are also important. Meanwhile, success can be seen from profits, achieved goals, business development, customer satisfaction and product consistency. Students run the Nurulillah Shop entrepreneurial business with facilities and funding from the study program and HMPS, integrating ICT in promotions, and managing time and business management with group strategies. The application of entrepreneurship has an impact on increasing knowledge and skills, motivation, benchmarks for facing business challenges, financial independence, and developing relationships that support the development of entrepreneurship. The development idea formulated is called Entrepreneurial Prosperity, namely to achieve success in entrepreneurship through product development, science and technology, partners, support, awards and mentorship.Originality/Values: contribution to this research is to see the spirit of Sharia Economics students in entrepreneurship in the IAIN Curup environment

Abstract

Aligned with technological advancements and evolving customer preferences for cutting-edge banking solutions, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) has introduced the BSI Mobile Application, aiming to deliver efficient banking services in adherence to Sharia financial principles. This study is prompted by the quest for a comprehensive understanding of the digital services offered by BSI, specifically focusing on identifying distinctive features, evaluating integration levels, and assessing their impact on the operational efficiency of the bank. Employing a qualitative approach through the library research method, the research draws data from diverse sources, including literature, scientific journals, books, official documents, and pertinent information accessible through library repositories and digital platforms.Utilizing a literature study as the primary data collection technique and applying the Miles and Huberman data analysis method, this research ensures the validity and reliability of findings by relying on credible sources such as scientific journals and official documents from Bank Syariah Indonesia. The outcomes of this research successfully unveil and elaborate on the array of digital services provided by BSI, highlighting distinctive features that set it apart from conventional mobile banking applications. The analysis of BSI Mobile features offers profound insights into services that embody a holistic approach, demonstrating efficiency and compliance with Sharia financial principles.This research serves as a foundational knowledge source for future inquiries. The anticipation is that a more profound comprehension of digital service types, specific features, and their effects on BSI's operational efficiency will serve as a guide for developing more efficacious strategies in the future. The envisaged positive contribution aims to optimize digital services at BSI, enhance the overall customer experience, and elevate the operational efficiency of the bank.
