Abstract

The study was about the effect of computer simulation on students’ achievement in Probability based on their attitude towards mathematics. Data were collected from 198 Form 3 students from four (4) public secondary schools who were purposefully chosen to participate in the study. To obtain qualitative and quantitative data, the researcher used students' questionnaires. The study used Post Hoc Tukey's (HSD) test and an ANOVA, and the results showed that the strategy's use had a greater impact on the experimental groups than the control groups. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software was typically used to quantitatively examine the data that was obtained. Depending on the research hypothesis, either a one-way ANOVA or a two-way ANOVA was used to test the hypothesis at a 95% level of significance. Additional tests were based on factor analysis, post hoc analysis, and t-tests. The main finding is that CBS's teaching approach is better than traditional approaches to teaching probability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the instructional leadership of the principal and to identify the determining factors of such leadership at SMP Kristen Eben Haezer 1 in Manado City. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations within the school environment, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically using an inductive approach. The findings reveal that the principal exercises instructional leadership in a proactive and participative manner. Beyond administrative duties, the principal is actively involved in lesson planning, classroom observation, and professional development of teachers through supervision, training, and mentoring. Christian values serve as the foundation for decision-making and the development of school culture, fostering strong character among all school members. Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of the principal’s instructional leadership, including a clear school vision and mission, strong support from the management team and teachers, open and communicative relationships, and leadership based on personal example. Organizational stability and systematic role distribution also contribute to creating a conducive and high-quality learning environment. This study provides a concrete example of how value-based instructional leadership can be effectively implemented in schools. The findings are significant for school leaders seeking to strengthen their instructional leadership practices and enhance the overall quality of education through collaborative, value-driven approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the data-driven planning process implemented at Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 1 Manado. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from February to April 2025. The study focuses on three main stages: data-based identification of educational problems, root cause reflection, and the improvement of school programs and activities. The findings reveal that SMK Negeri 1 Manado systematically conducts problem identification using Education Report Card data and other internal data, involving various stakeholders. The root cause reflection is conducted collectively and systematically using gap analysis and data triangulation methods. Program improvements are designed based on identification and reflection results, with specific goals and measurable indicators, which are then incorporated into the Annual Work Plan and School Activity and Budget Plan. These stages form a sustainable data-driven planning cycle supported by proactive leadership and a collaborative culture within the school. This study contributes as a best practice model of evidence-based educational planning for school quality improvement.

Abstract

This thesis examines and analyzes the legal consequences of making a testament and the mechanisms for resolving inheritance rights of members of the Society of Jesus (priests) who have made a testament and later resigned, according to the Indonesian Civil Code ( KUHPerdata ). The study was conducted at the Provincial House of the Society of Jesus in Semarang. The research method used is empirical legal research, employing interviews and literature review approaches. The results of the research show that, according to the Indonesian Civil Code, the legal consequence for a former priest who has made a testament and then resigned is that he remains bound by the testament he previously made. The Society of Jesus community or the Aloysius Association retains its position as the testamentary heir of the former priest, based on the legal grounds of Article 954 of the Civil Code. According to Articles 913–914 of the Civil Code, a testament that has not been revoked can affect the portion of inheritance and determine the subject entitled to the inheritance of the former priest. As a result, it may reduce the legitimate share (legitime share ) of the former priest's family members, including biological children (if married) or biological parents as legataris (recipients of the legitimate portion). For former priests who were leaders of a foundation or institution managed by the Society of Jesus, whose names were used for purposes such as purchasing land under ownership rights, opening bank accounts, or receiving donations, a process of name transfer (re-registration) can be carried out.

Abstract

Parenting is the maximum effort of parents given to children to become individuals with noble character. Parenting patterns or parenting in Islam, is a complete unity that comes from the attitude of parents towards young children in how to care for, educate, guide, and foster children optimally based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. The role of parents as a foundation in the household greatly influences the growth and development of children's attitudes, because the beginning of a child's life is in the hands of parents, this is as the Prophet said "Every child is born in a state of fitrah, then both parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian" (HR. Bukhori). In addition, parents also have many advantages in educating children, such as being able to care for children all the time with love, and being able to pay attention to each of their developments. This is different from education in schools which only takes half a day and is structured. In Q.S An-Nisa: 9. Talk to them (children) gently, kindly, politely, and call them with pleasant nicknames, such as my son, my darling, etc. Meanwhile, in Q.S An-Nisa: 9 with the word falyattaqullah, which means "Be fearful of Allah" has the intention of being able to equip children with aqeedah. So based on the last verse in Q.S An-Nisa: 9 which reads wal yaquuluu qaulan sadiida, which means "and let them say the correct sentences". Based on the last paragraph, the responsibility of parents in educating children is to have good morals and say the right words.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urgency and implementation of critical thinking in modern Islamic preaching as a bridge between text and context. The research method used is library research by examining relevant scientific sources in the form of national and international journal articles, academic books, and empirical research results. Data analysis was carried out thematically through a content analysis approach and supported by bibliometric visualization using VOSviewer for 150 related articles. The results of the study show that critical thinking is the main pillar in developing adaptive contextual preaching in the digital era. Bibliometric visualization shows that critical thinking is the main node that is closely connected to the theme of digital preaching, religious moderation, and prevention of radicalism. The implementation of critical thinking in preaching includes evaluative abilities towards sources of teachings, contextual awareness of the audience, dialogical openness, and ethical reflection in responding to differences. The strategy for strengthening implementation includes reformulating the dai education curriculum, digital media literacy training, and developing interactive discussion forums based on scientific arguments. This study emphasizes that strengthening critical attitudes in da'wah is an epistemological need to produce moderate, solution-oriented da'wah messages that are relevant to the dynamics of the times.

Abstract

This study examines the portrait of operational management, unit cost of service and its influence on full day school revenue amidst environmental dynamics. The study was conducted through a case study approach. The research data are in the form of financial reports and profiles of school institutions. The analysis was carried out in three stages. First, operational ratio analysis to determine the development of the performance of operating income and operating costs of the institution during the observation year (2005-2022). Second, regression analysis to describe the function of cost per unit of service against the institution's income. Third, simulation analysis aims to determine the extent to which a product or service can be easily reconfigured to respond to environmental changes. The simulation analysis is seen from the aspects of: changes in service scale, addition of new service units, elimination of service units and transfer of service units. This study found the following results. First, the highest institutional income comes from student fees (28%), followed by full-day meal consumption (17%) and government subsidies for operations (18%). The highest institutional expenditure comes from salaries (29%), followed by full-day meal consumption (17%) and government subsidies for operations (18%). Second, the full-day meal service unit has the greatest influence on full-day school revenue followed by the elementary school and kindergarten service units. Thirdly, the modular system has the potential for school financial management under environmental dynamics.
