Abstract

PT. Kilang Padi Mutiara Refinery is a company engaged in rice production that produces rice, groats, and bran. The main product of this factory is rice. It can be seen in storage warehouse activities that they still experience problems with poor product placement due to irregular distances between placement and delivery areas caused by the preparation of products that are not based on inventory so that the products in the warehouse become narrower and seem messy, this triggers the accumulation of excess products. to damage the finished product packaging. Based on the existing problems, in this study, planning for layout improvements using the shared storage method was carried out to increase the effectiveness of the distance between doors to the storage area and better product placement. the steps of re-planning using the shared storage method begin by knowing the warehouse area, warehouse capacity, and other warehouse data, as well as collecting data by determining space requirements, determining space allowances, and the distance of the entrance to the storage area. From the data processing, the distance becomes more regular and can be known every distance. Based on the comparison of the initial layout and the proposal, it is known that the distance in the initial layout is 719.56 meters, while for the proposed layout using the shared storage method, the results are 593.33 meters with 13 product areas, with this loading and unloading activities become better and more effective.

Abstract

The process of childbirth has many factors that result in the death of the baby and the mother during the delivery process, namely the lack of medical staff or health workers (midwife, doctor, or another paramedic). There needs to be an analysis of the delivery process assisted by medical staff. This analysis maps the readiness of medical staff with the needs in the field. Both natural and cesarean births have the same main goal, to make labor run smoothly and ensure that the mother and baby are safe. Deliveries assisted by health workers use secure, clean, and sterile equipment to prevent infection and other health hazards. The hope is to minimize the number of mothers who are not helped during childbirth. This study aims to analyze data on deliveries assisted by medical staff for case studies in Sleman District, Province of Yogyakarta Special Administrative Region, Indonesia, with the K-Means Algorithm. K-means is an unsupervised learning algorithm that has a function to group data into data clusters. This algorithm can accept data without any category labels, the learning process requires a relatively fast time, is quite easy to understand and implement, and the algorithm is quite popular. The research used 13,869 data in 2018. In 2019, the decrease in the number of mothers giving birth from 13,470 who were rescued was 13,469. The 2018 data produced 3 (three) clusters. In 2019 data produced 4 (four) clusters. With different levels of levels assisted by medical staff starting from the high, medium, and low groups.

Abstract

The forecast of electricity consumption is a prediction of the use of electricity for the future by referring to the use of electricity in past data. Estimates of electricity consumption needs are intended to estimate how much electricity consumption is used by customers and must be provided by PT PLN (PERSERO) ULP SIBUHUAN as a provider of electrical energy services. Population growth occurs along with the development of an area, so it affects the demand for electricity and the need for electricity consumption. Load mapping must be done to maintain the continuity and distribution of electrical energy to customers. One way to preserve the continuity of service is to estimate electric power consumption using several forecasting methods. One of the methods that can be used is to combine several load forecasting methods called the combined method. The combined method is a model that incorporates various estimation methods, including econometrics, analytics, and trends, using historical customer data originating from BPS (Central Statistics Agency) Padang Lawas Regency and PT. PLN (PERSERO) ULP SIBUHUAN. The estimated load between 2021 and 2025 is 625,070,452 kWh, with an increase in electricity consumption of 20.7%, household expenses increasing by 1.8%, and business sector expenses by 1.35%. The method used is to calculate manually using Microsoft Excel to obtain forecasting values for population growth; increasing electricity consumption is very important for planning electric power generation, development, and planning of electric power distribution and mapping of loads on customers.

Abstract

In this paper, the performance of the DC-DC converter is assisted by MPPT control in a comparison between Perturb & Observe (P&O) and Incremental Conductance (IC) using the Simulink Support Package for Arduino Hardware. In photovoltaic systems, the maximum power point tracking needs to be powered by PV panels. A microcontroller controls the power converter. Before it is designed, the system is first modeled and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. The control software implements a pulse-width modulation signal generator embedded in the Arduino microcontroller. The many stages of design for these controllers are discussed, along with simulation and experimentation. The system is tested, and the irradiance varies from 500 w/m2 to 1000 w/m2. The results of this simulation and experiment show that the plan with MPPT and a P&O controller has a higher efficiency of PV power production.

Abstract

The transformer is one of the essential parts of an electric power system. The distribution transformer is a part of the electric power system which plays a vital role in providing electrical energy services to customers. The increasing population and the development of the times make the need for continuous electrical energy. One of the causes of insulation failure in transformers is overheating in the central part. The transformer requires a cooling system to control the heat energy generated. Transformer oil is an insulating and cooling medium for the central part of the transformer. At the time of operation, some disturbances cause the emergence of gases such as carbon dioxide, ethane, and ethylene. The purpose of this study was to design a device for detecting levels of carbon dioxide (CO2), ethane (C2H6), and ethylene (C2H4) dissolved in transformer oil by displaying the ppm (parts per million) value for each gas. Atmega328 microcontroller is used for system control and as a data processor. The data is in the form of a voltage that the ADC microcontroller feature will change. This information is used to calculate the ppm value for each gas. The concentration of this gas will be displayed on the LCD control panel. From the results of this study, the DS18B20 sensor used has an error of 0.00315%, the MG-811 sensor has an error of 10,022, the MQ-6 sensor has an error of 7,918, and the MQ-2 sensor has an error of 9,356. This is indicated by the LCD output, which receives data automatically.

Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum Melongena L) is a type of seasonal vegetable. Eggplants vary in shape and color from white to green to purple. Facts prove that eggplant plants face several threats to their survival and growth, including disease disturbances such as leaf beetles, fruit rot, mealybugs, etc. One way to treat and monitor eggplant plants is to install a camera to capture accurate and fast image data. The image captured by the camera will be digitally processed, which can be used by deep learning methods on object recognition and evaluation system in eggplant plants. Digital image processing can present the color accuracy of leaves, and fruit stems in eggplant plants for solutions and innovations. Digital image processing is the study of image processing techniques. Processed images are still images or images captured with a model camera. In this study, the images taken were of colored leaves attacked by eggplant rot and brown stem rot. The color model used in this study to transform images to color uses the red-green-blue color function. This study uses the YOLOv4 algorithm implemented on a mobile computing device such as Raspberry Pi 4 to select images of eggplant plants captured by a camera. The image data that has been processed will produce results in plant disease diagnoses based on the image captured by the camera. The results will be announced immediately or announced on the Telegram application. We can then detect diseases in eggplant plants and provide immediate preventative measures for diseased plants to maximize yield.

Abstract

Modern technology is developing quite fast. Manufacturing, consumer electronics, and traffic management are just a few everyday tasks made more accessible by various technologies. Regular traffic signals work according to a set time or hour according to one road condition. Therefore, it is essential to time traffic signals at intersections so drivers must wait for the shortest time. In this study, we explore the feasibility of modeling a control system using the fuzzy Mamdani algorithm so that the timing of traffic lights at highway intersections can be adjusted in real-time. Each element, such as the number of cars, motorbikes, and road width, plays a role in determining whether or not a traffic light is activated. It is possible to get a red light that changes adaptively in response to road conditions by conducting tests with varying parameter settings. Based on the results of testing the system as a whole, it can be determined that traffic lights can prioritize the long green density first among the four lanes if the number of cars in one of the lanes is more, and those in the fewer lanes will take precedence over the more congested roads. That system testing is booming, according to design. Battery-free toy vehicles were deployed on each track for testing. The sensor will recognize the car as an object and interpret the data sent and received by the Arduino Mega processing system. The system will then analyze the density condition and display it on the LCD and sensor data, the length of the green traffic light, and the density condition.

Abstract

The existence of street vendors tends to dominate public spaces, which is physically considered to affect the physical quality. Tengku Amir Hamzah Square (TAHS) in Stabat is a famous local public space. Its strategic location triggers the growth of street vendors who provide attractions for visitors. Initially, TAHS was designed not to provide a space for street vendors, and the local regulation said that the presence of street vendors was prohibited. The existence of street vendors in TAHS who occupy this public space has emerged with pros and cons. This phenomenon became the reason for this study to be conducted, specifically to uncover the pattern of temporary space and space-forming elements created by street vendors and their relationship with the public's interest in visiting TAHS. The mixed-method research approach is used in this study to disclose and analyze data descriptively. Mapping and observation were carried out to obtain quantitative data, including layout, the number of street vendors, merchandise types, and distribution patternshod of displaying. The elements that form public spaces implemented by street vendors are obtained through observations and photo-trekking, and 58 respondents were involved in the interviews. Findings indicate that the strategic location and fluent permeability to and from TAHS have made this potential street vendor attraction popular among the locals. The activity created in this area acts as a generator of movement, especially at night, attracting people to come and walk through the existing street vendor outlets, contributing to urban livability.
