Abstract

Selecting and using appropriate learning media certainly has an effect on the quality of learning and students’ learning outcomes. This research started from the reality at SD Negri 101919 Kuala Namu that teachers had not used the right learning media as a tool in explaining plane figure material, low students’ learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, difficulty understanding math lessons, lack of using learning media in explaining math subject matter. The objective of the research was to find out whether there was an effect of using geoboard learning media on students’ learning outcomes on the the plane figure circumference and area of grade III elementary school. This type of research was quantitative research with Quasi Experiment Research Type with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study is all grade III students of SD Negeri101919 Kuala Namu with a total of 36 students. The sampling technique used in this research was the simple random sampling technique, while the sample in this research was class III A which amounted to 18 students as an experimental class and class III B which amounted to 18 students as a control class. The instrument used in the research was a multiple-choice form test. The data analysis technique used was a t-test that as preceded by a prerequisite test of analysis using a normality test and a homogeneity test. The prettest average score for the experimental class was 64,77 and the perettest of the control class learning outcomes was 50,05. Then the two classes were given different treatments, so the average posttest grade of experimental class learning outcomes was 85 and the control class was 75,05. Hypothesis testing was done with the t test. From the results of calculations obtained tcount > ttable (2,9 > 2,02). It can be seen that tcount > ttable, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So the results of this research conclusion that the results of students’ learning mathematics who used geoboard learning media were higher than the results of students’ learning mathematics who used conventional learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of social studies learning using a make a match model with the help of picture cards. This is shown from the results of the calculation of the posttest hypothesis test through the t-test at a significance level of 0.05, where tcount > ttable (4.25>1.994437) This result is strengthened by the achievement of the average score of students in the conventional learning class with the value of 76.2 while the make a match model obtained a value of 88.97. These results indicate that student activities can be categorized very well in using the make a match model with the help of picture cards.

Abstract

Researchers have a goal to describe how the analysis of student worksheets (LKPD) based on problem based learning (PBL) on student learning outcomes. The results of the research are that (1.) The use of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning as teaching materials has a positive effect of 80% in improving student learning outcomes. (2.) Problem Based Learning-based worksheets are appropriate to be used as learning materials in schools, because the use of Problem Based Learning-based worksheets in the teaching and learning process can help students understand learning so that the success of the teaching and learning process will be achieved. (3.) The advantages of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning as teaching materials can be said to be superior in that application, learning becomes more effective and efficient, making the learning process more interesting and can improve the quality of learning well.

Abstract

Pengajaran saat ini masih menunjukkan peluang yang luas untuk diadakan upaya perbaikan. Hal ini ditandai dengan masih rendahnya hasil belajar yang dicapai dalam pembelajaran. Studi awal yang dilakukan di sekolah, menunjukkan rata-rata nilai masih dibawah ketuntasan belajar. Selain itu aktivitas dalam pembelajaran masih tergolong kurang, ini dapat dilihat dari banyaknya yang pasif dalam pembelajaran dan masih enggan untuk bertanya. Metode yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran juga masih tergolong kurang varatif dan lebih banyak menggunakan metode ceramah. Penelitian di satuan sekolah binaan dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini guru-guru sebanyak 8 orang. Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk penelitian tindakan sekolah (PTS) yang dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus. Instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan tes hasil praktik dan postes siklus I dan postes siklus II. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan awal sebelum diberikan pembinaan sebesar 32,5 atau seluruh termasuk belum trampil. Rata-rata hasil penguasaan (postes) pada siklus I sebesar 62,5 dan secara kelompok dinyatakan belum mencapai keberhasilan yaitu hanya 50% yang telah berhasil. Rata-rata hasil evaluasi (postes) pada siklus II sebesar 87,5 dan secara kelompok guru telah mencapai keberhasilan yaitu sebesar 87,5% yang telah berhasil. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar yang akan diajarkan guru.

Abstract

There are some factors have influenced in teaching vocabulary. The creative teacher will use teaching method which appropriate with the students condition in the class and can attract them to be more interested in learning English especially vocabulary achievement. The aim of this research is to find the significance of Bingo Media in teaching English Vocabulary was observed and analyzed from students of eighth grade of SMP S Al – Washliyah 27 Medan. In this research, Bingo as media was implemented with discussion method in order was chosen in this research to solve the problem. The method of this research is quantitative by taking 60 students as the sample. The population of this research was all grade VIII students and the sample of this research were VIII – A as the experiment class, grade VIII – B as the control class. Instrument of the research was used multiple choice about Descriptive text. After the research gave the treatment by used Bingo in teaching Vocabulary it showed that pre-test average score of experimental group was 83,67 and control group was 69. Meanwhile, the post-test average of experimental groups was 59,33 and control group was 55. The research above the used Bingo and implementation of discussion method significantly affected on students vocabulary achievement. It could be concluded that the use of Bingo increasing students vocabulary achievement was affective. The result that found in this research was t observed was 6,94 and t table 2,00. It can state that there is significant difference between from students vocabulary scores taught by using Bingo and without Bingo. It means that Bingo Media are quite effective in improving students vocabulary achievement.

Abstract

Simple Present Tense is part of English language grammar that stated in tenses. It expresses action in daily activities and general truth. The purposed of this research is to analyze errors in learning simple present tense. The errors analyzed in this research are: error of omission, addition, misformation and misordering. The method of this research approach is descriptive qualitative. It was conducted at SMP Al washliyah 27 Medan, the sample was taken from 20 students in the 7th grade of their written test. After analyzing and locating the errors from their answer sheets. The researcher found some finding of the research. The types of errors made by the students on learning the simple present tense are based on surface strategy taxonomy which are classified into omission, addition, misformation and misordering. After counting the errors, the researcher found 317 total of errors which consist of 50 errors of omission, 39 error of addition, 132 errors of misformation and 96 errors of misordering. From the data above it can be seen that misformation error was the highest number of error made by the students and following by misordering of error. At SMP Swasta Al Washliyan 27 Medan, the researcher also can find some causes of errors. They are Interference and teacher-induced error. Interference is error that are influenced by the interference of students mother tongue. The students still apply indonesian pattern into English when they translate the sentences. Then, Teacher-induced errors which teacher's teaching method required to be enhance and adequate to make the students have interest in learning English language.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension through Wattpad media. This study analyzes how the use of Wattpad media can improve students' reading comprehension achievement. This research was conducted in SMA Swasta Bandung. The subjects of this study were students of class XI, totaling 30 students. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). There are two cycles to give students more opportunities to improve their understanding of how to find the main idea and understand the message well and effectively. The results showed that the students' reading ability increased significantly. In the pretest the average score was 29.83, in the first cycle the average score was 44.67, and in the second cycle, the average score was 79.67. The increase was also seen from the percentage of students who passed the KKM in reading narrative texts, in the pre-test, 6.67% of students got more than 75 points, in cycle 1 16.67% students got more than 75 points, and in cycle 2 70% students got more than 75 points. So, this media can help students to remember the main information and ideas from the texts they read, students can also enrich their vocabulary. Based on the results of this study, the researcher recommends the use of Wattpad media in reading because Wattpad can improve reading comprehension achievement

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the researching some of students’ experience of learning and memorizing vocabulary of adjective in class X-1 IPS SMA swasta Cerdas Murni and (2) the students reflecting the experience were participants of english in part of learning english. This research is qualitative and was conducted in juni 2021 on students of class X-1 IPS SMA Swasta Cerdas Murni. In this study the sample was taken by 3 levels of students in the class, the lowest, the average, and the highest. Each the level taken 2 students. Data were collected through observation and interview. Then the data collected by conducting research. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the students' can be concluded that the TikTok duet video is very helpful for them in memorizing adjective vocabulary. They really enjoy doing it and it's pretty easy because the TikTok app is the one they use most of the time. The TikTok duet video application can also improve their memorizing, especially vocabulary adjectives, which they think that this application is only used for entertainment but in fact can be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

Dalam rencana aksi nasional pangan dan gizi 2001-2005, UU No. 25 tentang program pembangunan nasional dan Indonesia sehat 2015 bahwa 80% keluarga menjadi sadar gizi. Definisi kadarzi adalah keluarga yang memiliki perilaku gizi seimbang, mampu mengenali dan mengatasi masalah gizi antar anggotanya. Pada tahun 20014, daerah kadarzi di sumatera utara adalah 83,26%, daerah Medan 69,77%. Kemudian kadarzi di Kecamatan Secanggang adalah 61,09%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pendidikan, pengetahuan dengan kesadaran gizi terhadap perilaku praktik keluarga mandiri pada bayi usia 7-12 bulan di Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksploratif yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan ibu dengan perilaku praktik kadarzi. Rencana penelitian termasuk penelitian Crossectional, dilakukan di Tandang Tembalang, Semarang. Sebagai populasi ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 7-12 bulan sebanyak 164. Sedangkan jumlah sampel 128, diambil secara acak dengan proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden yang berpendidikan SLTA sebesar 43%, tingkat pengetahuan 85,9% (Baik), dan keluarga sadar gizi sebesar 3,1%. Hasil Fisher Exact Statistic menunjukkan, tidak ada hubungan antara pendidikan ibu dengan perilaku praktik kadarzi p=0,126 dan tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan perilaku praktik kadarzi p=0,459. Disarankan kepada pengambil kebijakan untuk meningkatkan promosi kesehatan agar masyarakat di bidang gizi khususnya indikator kadarzi yang hasil capaiannya paling rendah adalah pemberian ASI eksklusif.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas mengnai otonomi daerah dan pembiayaan pengaruhnya pada kinerja penidikan. Metode penelitian ini yaitu library riset. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: perjalanan otonomi daerah didindonesia begitu panjang, bahkan teh di mulai sejak di masa penjajahan Belanda dan Jepang, di lanjut pada pemerintahan orde lama hingga orde baru, namun dalam beberapa dekade tersebut pelaksanaan otonomi daerah terlihat sangat kurang maksimal dan masih kental akan kepentingan pemerintah pusat, otonomi daerah mulai di maksimalkan pada era reformasi setelah keruntuhan orde baru, dengan diterbikannya revisi undang-undang nomor 22 tahun 1999 yang telah direvisi menjadi undang-undang nomor 32 tahun 2004 tentang pemerintahan daerah yang menandakan di mulainya tatanan baru dalam pemerintahan yang sentralistik menjadi desentralistik. Perubahan tatanan ini juga mengakibatkan perubahan dalam masalah penyelenggaraan pendidikan, dan termasuk di dalamnya pembiayaan pendidikan, di era otonomi daerah wewenang dalam pelaksanaan kebiajakan anggaran pendidikan di daerah menjadi tanggung jawab masng-masing daerah, pemerintah pusat sudah tidak punya lagi wewenang untuk ikut mengurusi pengelolaan anggaran pendidikan di daerah, namun pemerintah pusat masih berkewajiban memberikan sokongan dana pendidikan yang cukup besar kepada daerah-daerag di seluruh Indonesia, dengan di berlakukannya otonomi daerah konsep pembiayaan pendidikan di daerah-daerah yang tersusun dalam RAPAD sesungguhnya sebagian besar anggarannya masih di peroleh dari pusat (Block Grant) yang di salurkan ke setiap daerah dalam bentuk paket Dana alokasi Umum dan Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAU) dan (DAK), namun ada pengkhusuan bagi daerah-daerah yang memilki sumberdaya alam yang di kelola oleh pemerintah pusat di daerahnya, maka mereka mendapatkan tambahan anggaran dari sistem bagi hasil keuntungan dari sumberdaya alam tersebut.
