Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan platform digital sebagai media layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket skala Likert. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan platform digital dalam layanan BK berada pada kategori cukup baik, dengan mayoritas respon siswa berada pada kategori netral hingga setuju. Persepsi siswa terhadap layanan BK digital juga cenderung positif, namun masih pada tingkat sedang. Faktor kemudahan penggunaan, kebermanfaatan, serta kepercayaan terhadap keamanan data menjadi aspek penting yang memengaruhi persepsi siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pengembangan layanan BK digital yang lebih optimal, interaktif, serta menjamin keamanan dan kerahasiaan data siswa.

Abstract

Understanding the factors that influence students' critical thinking skills will provide insight to teachers in designing inclusive strategies, methods and approaches in improving students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of parents' education and students' gender on the critical thinking ability of social studies students in grade VI. Quantitative research approach with factorial design 2x2 2-way analysis. The location of the research is at BTN IKIP State Elementary School, District. Rappocini, Makassar City The research instrument uses a test in the form of essay questions based on the indicator of critical thinking skills adopted from Facione. The collected data were analyzed by parametric statistics with a prerequisite test of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test with Two-Way ANOVA. The results of the study showed that the last level of parental education had a significant effect, gender had no effect, and there was no interaction between the last level of parental education and gender on the critical thinking ability of social studies students in grade VI of elementary schoolThe abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive

Abstract

Identity politics in Indonesia is growing stronger, with religion serving as a primary instrument in the negotiation of power and social legitimacy. This phenomenon is significantly represented in popular culture, one example being the film Mencari Hilal (2021). This study aims to analyze the construction of Islam-based identity politics discourse in the film through the lens of Jäger & Maier’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The method employed is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach, where data was collected through a documentary study of the film’s script, dialogue, and narrative visuals. The findings reveal that the film Mencari Hilal is not merely a religious narrative but a site of knowledge production that validates specific religious authority. The discourse on the determination of the crescent moon is used to construct a dichotomy of “traditional” versus “modern” identities that has real political implications in society. These findings reveal how religious knowledge is constructed to maintain the hegemony of certain groups. The conclusion of this study affirms that the film functions as a political text that reflects the dynamics of power and identity in contemporary Indonesian Islam. Abstract

Modernisasi dan perubahan sosial di era globalisasi menjadi tantangan besar bagi keberlangsungan tradisi lokal di berbagai daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan tradisi Maccera’ Arelle tetap bertahan di Desa Pallawa, Kabupaten Bone, serta menganalisis implikasi sosialnya terhadap penguatan solidaritas masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam terhadap tokoh adat, pemerintah desa, serta masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi tradisi Maccera’ Arelle didorong oleh peran fungsionalnya dalam menjaga keseimbangan spiritual dan keamanan psikologis petani jagung, serta adanya adaptasi budaya melalui sinkretisme religius antara adat Bugis dan ajaran Islam. Secara sosial, tradisi ini berimplikasi pada reproduksi solidaritas mekanik yang kuat melalui praktik gotong royong dan penciptaan ruang perjumpaan kolektif yang meleburkan sekat status sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan ritual lokal seperti Maccera’ Arelle merupakan solusi efektif untuk mencegah disintegrasi sosial. Melalui transmisi nilai antar-generasi dalam ritual ini, masyarakat berhasil mempertahankan identitas kolektifnya dan membentengi diri dari dampak negatif individualisme modern. Abstract

This paper qualitatively examines the book Lifelong Citizenship: Lifelong Learning as a Lever for Moral and Democratic Value by Dorit Alt and Nirit Raichel using a literature review approach with content analysis. The findings from six chapters are presented as research results and then analyzed to formulate arguments from the reviewer’s perspective, supported by relevant references. The book offers a strong conceptual framework for bridging two significant domains: lifelong learning and democratic citizenship. Based on the analysis of six chapters, the reviewer concludes that the concept of lifelong learning is highly relevant for citizenship studies when linked to 21st-century competencies. The reviewer agrees that dimensions such as personal wellbeing, digital literacy, learning through experience and practice, and social cohesion, inclusion, and justice are closely related to the goals and needs of contemporary citizenship education. Furthermore, the reviewer finds the concept of learning through real-life community practice and assessment for learning particularly compelling. Nevertheless, the discussion originates from authors and findings in European Union countries and the United States, which necessitates adaptation to the cultural context of Asian countries, especially Indonesia. Therefore, this paper emphasizes that not all practices described can be easily implemented in every country due to differences in resources and educational policies.

Abstract

Trash talking is a form of aggressive communication frequently found in competitive games such as Dota 2 and has the potential to disrupt players’ emotional states and gameplay performance. This study aims to describe how Dota 2 players perceive, experience, and respond to trash talking within competitive interactions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with five informants selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically based on the research focus. The findings show that players interpret trash talking in various ways, ranging from competitive humor to explicit provocation. At the organism stage, players exhibit emotional reactions such as irritation and frustration, while some become more motivated. At the response stage, players apply coping strategies such as muting communication, ignoring negative comments, responding lightly, or choosing to play with friends to maintain comfort. The study concludes that players’ responses to trash talking are influenced by individual interpretation, emotional readiness, and coping ability. These findings reinforce the relevance of the Stimulus–Organism–Response theory in understanding behavioral dynamics in competitive gaming.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika kehidupan mahasiswa laki-laki yang berada dalam posisi minoritas gender di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi yang didominasi perempuan. Kajian teoritis ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber literatur akademik yang relevan. Landasan teori yang digunakan meliputi Teori Reproduksi Sosial Pierre Bourdieu mencakup konsep habitus, cultural capital, social capital, dan symbolic violence; Teori Konstruksi Sosial Gender; Feminist Theory; Teori Hidden Curriculum; serta Gender Mainstreaming Framework. Temuan kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa laki-laki yang berada di program studi yang diidentifikasi sebagai feminin mengalami proses pembentukan habitus yang unik, di mana mereka harus menegosiasikan identitas gender mereka di tengah norma-norma sosial yang dominan. Tekanan simbolis yang tidak tampak secara kasat mata, stereotip gender, serta kurikulum tersembunyi yang mengandung nilai-nilai gender turut membentuk pengalaman akademik mereka. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa minoritas gender dalam pendidikan tinggi merupakan fenomena yang memerlukan perhatian kebijakan kelembagaan yang serius melalui pendekatan gender mainstreaming yang inklusif dan berkeadilan.
