Abstract

Background:  Reading poetry is an effort to convey the poet's message to his listeners. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the process of learning to read poetry and improve results. Design and methods: This experiment analyzes the improvement of the learning process, including the stages of attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation, as well as the improvement of student learning outcomes when reading poetry in terms of intonation, pronunciation, volume, gestures, and expressions. This research was conducted on Literary Club extracurricular students at SDIT ALIF. The method used in this study is a quantitative experimental method using the video modeling technique of recording a poetry performance by Helvy Tiana Rosa. Data analysis techniques in this study were in the form of videos during which students read poetry, observation sheets, field notes, and student test results in the form of performance tests. In this design, two groups are randomly selected and then given a pretest to find out the difference in the initial state between the experimental group and the control group. Each group that was randomly selected was the same for both the control group and the experimental group, namely 10 people Results: experimental class pretest data with an average of 14.10 while the control class obtained an average of 19.60. From the results of the posttest, it was obtained that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 17.50 and that of the control class was 26.30. Thus, it can be said that the skills of students have increased. However, based on the assessment with this technique, there is an insignificant increase in effect

Abstract

Background: Reading is part of the four language skills. Reading plays an important role in forming an intelligent, critical and creative generation. Basically, the ability and skill to read is a mandatory requirement. Therefore, the ability to read must be cultivated from an early age. To improve the reading ability of grade III elementary school students, fairy tales can be used Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' ability to read the Ants and Pigeons fable. Design and methods: The research method is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this research were grade III students of SD Negeri CIBEDUG 01. Data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman models included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or examination. Results: The results of this study on the Ability to Read Fables at SD Negeri CIBEDUG 01 can be categorized into Very Good (12%), Good (61%), Enough (24%) and Needs Guidance (3%) categories. Based on the findings, motivational factors within students affect the enthusiasm for learning to read fairy tales in elementary schools. In addition, reading fairy tales is considered difficult to understand by students.

Abstract

Background:  The ability to write is a human effort to express thoughts and emotions contained in written language. Writing poetry is a productive activity and the ability to write poetry can be achieved through systematic teaching and intensive training. Learning poetry provides many benefits for students. Students can express themselves and expand their vocabulary. In addition, students know how to use language to understand, develop, and convey ideas and information to readers. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the poetry writing skills of fourth-grade students at SDIT ALIF after using the acrostic technique. Design and methods: This research was compiled using a descriptive method based on analysis guidelines through a qualitative approach. Qualitative descriptive is the term used in qualitative research for descriptive research. The researcher's analysis technique uses observation and document analysis. Results: This study shows that the results of the analysis of the poetry writing skills of fourth grade students at SDIT ALIF with the acrostic technique are students who match the skills of writing acrostic poetry by 75%. Students who do not fit the skills of writing acrostic poetry 25%. Conclusion (1) From the results of the analysis of the Poetry Writing Skills of Grade IV Students at SDIT ALIF using the acrostic technique, it was found that 75% of the 61 samples fit the skills of writing acrostic poetry. In the activity of writing poetry, class IV SDIT ALIF students using the acrostic technique carried out quite well, but there were some students who were still lacking in writing acrostic poetry, such as the discrepancy between the word patterns written vertically and the suitability of the content. and title and unable to express ideas. his thoughts into poetry. Abstract

Background:  In the form of learning activities in schools, reading is one of the most essential skills that students need to master. The ability to read for students is seen as a determinant of their success in carrying out their learning activities while at school. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out how far the beginning reading ability of 4th grade elementary school students at MI Tarbiyatul Falah and the difficulties they face. Design and methods: This study applies a descriptive qualitative method, which is a method that is carried out by visiting data sources directly, then analyzing the data obtained as it is. Researchers collected further data using interview techniques, observation and tests on these students and class teachers to find the causal factors. Results: the researcher draws the conclusion that in students' initial reading skills, each aspect relates to and influences other aspects of reading, and this difficulty is motivated by factors that become obstacles in applying initial reading skills

Abstract

Background: Poetry is results work literature, which arises from expression feelings and thought, and arises in situation certain. Thing this seen in statement that nothing, rhythm, and pressure play role important in poetry, language imaginative and choice say (vocabulary) arranged by bait, which is total CLASSIFIED in each table, and so on. Poetry is of course not a simple work of art, but a very complex organism. Poetry is created with different linguistic and aesthetic elements. Poetry is also an important record and interpretation of human experience and is written in the most memorable form. There are two main elements in building a poem, namely intrinsic and extrinsic elements. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine students' ability to compose poetry based on the intrinsic elements of class VI SDIT Insan Karima. Design and methods: The research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were documents made by students, totaling 17 poems. The data collection tool used by the researcher was a document written by a class IV student at SDIT Insan Karima and filling in the rubric carried out by the researcher was based on the theory of Saefu Zaman Results: The results of this study are that out of 17 student works, almost 100% of the poems made are in accordance with the intrinsic elements requested, but the need for further guidance to students in managing vocabulary that will be poured into these poems.

Abstract

Background:  The effect of English is indisputable in the profession of nursing, where English is increasingly becoming the medium of instruction and communication. Therefore, the principal goal of the study was to examine the perceptions of Egyptian nurses in reference to the English language effect on patient safety. Purpose: The study was implemented in a cardiothoracic Centre that provides free-of-charge care for patients with heart diseases. Design and methods: In this pursuit, a mixed-method approach was employed as two data collection instruments were constructed and utilized following the review of literature and based on the patient international safety goals recommended by the Joint Commission International (JCI). The first instrument is a 39-item questionnaire and the second is a semi-structured interview. The number of nurses participated in the study was (n=94); 86 nurses participated in the questionnaire whereas eight expert nurses were recruited for the semi-structured interview. Results: The results revealed that the English language is an essential element in the process of ensuring patient safety for Egyptian nurses and its effect is revealed through the international safety goals. Based on the study, nurses are advised to be proficient in using the English language so as to provide the best possible care for cardiac patients.

Abstract

Background: Folk tale contains words that are bound to a certain cultural context. Globalization and technological developments have made wider access to the folk tales. Google Translate is a translation service that can help translate folk tales with a wide range of users. Purpose: The focus of this research is limited to how the Google Translate service translates the cultural words in the folk tale of The Origin of the Word Babah. Design and methods: This research method is descriptive qualitative with research data on the cultural words in the folk tale The Origins of the word Babah which is published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 1978. This study used analysis of translation strategies and Newmark’s Cultural Words categories as referred classification. Results: The result of the study shows that the 10 (ten) research data are all in the category of social customs. The translation strategies used are Loan with 5 (five) data and Literal Translation with 5 (five) data. This research shows that Google Translate has not been able to detect cultural contexts, hence it is not accurate in translating cultural addresses and special terms.

Abstract

Background: The narration of women as wives in every age and culture is always conveyed using various methods. This diversity is increasingly being explored through the development of media and digital technology. Short films through the Youtube channel can also be a medium of dawah to narrate a matchmaking. Purpose: The focus of this study is limited to how the topic of matchmaking is narrated in the short film “Opor Ayam” published by NU Online. Design and methods: This study’s method is descriptive qualitative with verbal and visual narrative research data on the short film Opor Ayam published by NU Online in 2021. This research uses semiotics-signification theory to obtain a narrative structure for the meaning of matchmaking. Results: The results show that the Opor Ayam film has four stages, namely equilibrium, disruption, disequilibrium and new-equilibrium as a narrative structure. The results of the discussion also show that the topic of matchmaking is conveyed as; (1) acceptable in religion, (2) must be based on religious provisions, (3) the narrative emphasizes that marriage through matchmaking is a familiarization and must be based on religion.

Abstract

Background: The broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio are a reflection of the Pandalungan community, so the language used is unique and interesting to study. Purpose: This research aims to describe the types, forms, and functions of code mixing in the conversations between broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio. Design and methods: This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using the observation method with tapping, free observation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis stage used the translational and referential equivalence method with descriptive, identification, and classification techniques. Results: The results of this study found two types of code mixing, namely internal code mixing from Javanese, Madurese, and Osing languages, and external code mixing from Arabic and English languages. The forms of code mixing found were insertion of words (152 data), phrases (42 data), repetition of words (1 data), clauses (24 data), and blasters (5 data). The functions of code mixing found were to build a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, show the ethnic identity of the speaker, show respect to the interlocutor, create humor, and show prestige. The result of this research is expected to provide awareness that code mixing in bilingual or multilingual communities serves to eliminate differences between societal groups and build interpersonal relationships among them.

Abstract

Background: Building a digital marketplace is one of the most important things a company must do if it wants to dominate. Businesses that can survive in the digital age will have the power of digital at their fingertips. This includes, but is not limited to, Media Companies. Purpose: this study aims to provide an overview of the existing phenomena of franchiseglobal.com business strategy in transforming its print media. Design and methods: This research uses a qualitative descriptive research approach. The method of collecting data and information is interview. The data analysis method is descriptive analysis. Results: FranchiseGlobal.com, as an online media portal focused on franchising, licensing and partnership companies, is implementing a digital branding strategy using the digital branding triangle concept with a focus on SEO, social media and website development. FranchiseGlobal.com is attracting an increasing number of visitors (prospective franchise buyers) to its website, namely more than 100,000 monthly visitors or more than 1.2 million per year and 1,460 inquiry forms (business interest forms) in the past year. FranchiseGlobal.com's digital marketing strategy has the involvement of the company's entire management team and teams from different parts of the company. In order to determine the direction of the company, the strategy also uses the marketing mix theory and SWOT analysis.
