Abstract

this research usually aims to find a realistic picture of the role of village government in development. The role is the first indication of the success or failure of the village head and village officials in carrying out their duties. In this study, the researcher used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The focus of this research is on the role of village leaders in development, with an emphasis on theory According to Henry Mintzberg, (1992), the role of leaders are: 1. The role of interpersonal relationships, in this case the functions are leadership role models, team builders, coaches, directors, consultants . 2. Function Informal role as observer, disseminator and spokesperson. 3. The role of decision makers, business functions, interrupt management, resource allocator and negotiator. The village head must again maximize his steps in making decisions and controlling the use of the funds used, so that they know exactly what the funds are used for.

Abstract

Writing is assumed as a very complicated skill among other skills. Students’ low motivation and students’ low knowledge of writing as well as inappropriate teacher’s teaching and learning strategy contribute to students’ low writing score. The appropriate teacher’s strategy can motivate the students to practice writing more and more. That is why this research applied strategy-based instruction (SBI) as one of the alternatives in teaching and learning writing. This was a pre-experimental research with one group pretest and posttest design, which was generally to know whether or not strategy-based instruction (SBI) was effective for teaching writing and specifically to find out the students’ ability in writing before and after SBI was applied. This research used total sampling. One class consisting of thirty students became the sample. The data were from writing test scores of pretest and posttest. The average score of posttest (74.6) was higher than that of pretest (69.5). Then, paired sample t-test was used to analyze those scores with the result that sig (2-tailed) 0.00 was lower than 0.05. It means that the average score of pretest differs significantly from that of posttest. Thus, it can be said that SBI is effective for teaching writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze translation procedures applied and the changes of attitude subsystems in Indonesian edition of Confessions, published by Penerbit Haru and translated by Clara Canceriana and Andry Setiawan. The analysis is based on translation theory and types by Dewi and Wijaya (2021) and applying the appraisal theory by Martin and White (2005) as the focus of the research. The sample of the research is chapter one of Japanese and Indonesian edition of Confessions. This research used Sketch Engine, Antconc, and SegmentAnt as the chosen corpus tools to process the data. The findings show that there is a considerable number of attitude subsystem changes, in which the number of subsystems in Indonesian edition is higher than that in Japanese edition.

Abstract

This study aims to study and find out about the preparedness analysis of the government and the community in dealing with flood disasters in the Kampung Melayu area of East Jakarta City through Preparedness Parameters according to LIPI/UNESCO-ISDR 2006 in which there are five indicators which include, knowledge and attitudes, policies and guidelines, emergency response plans, disaster warnings and resource mobilization. This study uses a qualitative method with the determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations and documentation studies and then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is that the community and government preparedness for flooding in Kampung Melayu in terms of knowledge and attitude dimensions is very minimal due to the lack of intellectual stimulus, then from the policy and guidance dimensions it is carried out through three stages, namely the pre-disaster stage, during the disaster and recovery, then the planning dimension. emergency response can work well in terms of making posts and providing tools needed by the community but not optimal in the evacuation and planning sector, the dimensions of disaster warning have gone well with the use of technology that can improve community preparedness and finally the dimension of resource mobilization is going well because people can ask for help preparedness in accordance with applicable procedures

Abstract

Human resources are the most important aspect in forming an effective and efficient company performance. Human resources are the main determinants of the company's production process. By applying a human resource strategy that includes: job design, job analysis, and various related approaches and methods that can create a quality work ecosystem. In its application, good human resources are obtained with difficult achievements and costs that are expensive and difficult to maintain. Then the human resource strategy arrangement must be managed as well as possible to create a scope of work and work processes according to company goals. A good company is indicated by the happiness of the workers who are happy financially, mentally, and spiritually. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the company to provide the sufficiency of these factors. This article was compiled by collecting data from various credible literature, sourced and based on a conceptual understanding with a sprinkling of narrative science style language. The explanation of this article correlates with other articles, namely discussing the consolidation between humans and their place of work. Related descriptions of theories, ideas, problems, methods, solutions, application of human resources as capital and as individuals who are empowered in operations management. This article describes the structural procedures in human resource management with relevance to spiritual quotient (SQ).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of selft-talk to students in the physical education learning process, this study uses descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques using questionnaries, interviews and documentation on the research subject, namely class X students and physical education teachers at Sman 1 Cilamaya, with the results of the study that the use of selft-talk motivation for students is very necessary in the process of teaching and learning activies, the use of self-talk owned by students is maximal if students apply positive selft-talk during the teaching and learning process and make selft-talk as material or a connecting concept during the learning process. From the result of the study, it can be concluded there are still students who do not use the use of selft talk in the learning process. In this study, research can provide suggestion for students to be able to learn and understand the use of seldt-talk motivation that can be used during the learning process, eitheir independently or following directions anf guidance from the teacher, suggestion for students to always follow the learning process carefully and still feel euntusiatic in following the physical education learning process so that the material that has been conveyed can be understood and applied in everyday life, with selft-talk student cant open up selft-confidence as wide as possible, motivated when they want convey everything something that wants to be conveyed is something that can help students achieve learning goals especialy in physical education learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine effect of discovery learning model is the learning ability of students of class V student at SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya. The research method used is a quantitative with research draft Quassi Experimental Design-Posttest Only Control design. The sample in this study is all learners of class 5, using saturated Sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The instrument in this study is a test sheet of critical thinking and observation sheets of student activity. Data analysis techniques using test-t and percentage. The results of data analysis shows that the application of the discovery learning model can have an effect on students in critical thinking by carrying out all activities according to the steps or syntax specified in the discovery learning model to the critical thinking skills of students at SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya, the results of calculations using the t-test formula obtained a t value of 9.78. Result from the test criteria because 9,78>2,30 or 9.78, then H_0 it is rejected. This means that there is a difference, so there is an effect of this discovery learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya. and showed that students activities in The Science learning process using the Discovery learning model were excellent.

Abstract

This study aims at analyzing Perceived Toxic Parenting, Self-Esteem And Students’ Academic Achievement. It is a library research. The study analyzed the effect of perceived toxic parenting toward children’ self-esteem and academic achievement from Psychology point of view and islamic perspective. Several literatures related to the topict were analyzed with the keywords used to serach the articles are; Parenting, islamic parenting, toxic parenting, self-esteem, academic achievement. The study found that the toxic parents, one or both parents, results to negative psychological development of children. Children raised by toxic parents are more likely difficult to develop their positive self-image in which lead to lack of self-esteem. Children’s Self-esteem and academic achievement are two correlating variables that support each other. The lower self-esteem children hold, the lower academic achievement they obtained. In addition, Islam enlighted the parents to avoid practicing toxic parenting. Allah Ta’ala rebuked parents in his word in Surah al-An'am 151, that for any reason, parents are prohibited from killing, neglecting, not feeding their children. In a hadith of the Prophet narrated by al-Baihaqi, our Prophet stated that the children also have the right to be treated fairly among their siblings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test the correctness of hypotheses regarding the Influence of Direct Instruction Model on the Play Skills of Vocational Secondary Students. This research was conducted at SMK Karya Guna Bhakti 2 Bekasi City. This research was conducted using quantitative approaches and experimental methods. The population in this study was all students who took part in the extracurricular futsal with a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling, then the sample size used was 30 students. The instrument used through observation refers to the GPAI. The analysis tool used is SPSS software with paired t-test. The results of this study explained that there were significant results seen through different average values, namely pretests of 11.97 and after being given treatment and posttesting the average value rose to 28.70. That is, the implementation of the direct instruction model affects students' playing skills in extracurricular futsal, as seen in the change in the average score before and after being given treatment. Also supported by the results of standard deviation and standard error obtained Thitung (-28.129) < Ttabel (2.042). The results of this hypothesis show that there is a significant influence between direct instruction models on students' play skills after treatment.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine whether there is an effect between addiction to playing gadgets on cognitive learning achievement, the influence between parental control on cognitive learning achievement, and the effect of addiction to playing gadgets and parental control simultaneously or simultaneously on cognitive learning achievement. The method in this research is correlational quantitative. The sampling technique in this research is in the form of total sampling. The sample in this research were all fifth grade students of SD N Kubangpari 02, totaling 53 students. The results obtained are (1) There is no effect of the gadget addiction variable (X1) on cognitive learning achievement (Y), which is proved by the t-test results with a significant value of 0.446> 0.05. (2) There is an effect of parental control variable (X2) on cognitive learning achievement (Y), which is proved by the t-test result with a significant value of 0.009 <0.05. (3) There is a simultaneous effect of addiction to playing gadgets and parental control on cognitive learning achievement of fifth graders at SD Negeri Kubangpari 02, which is proved by the f-test results with a significant value of 0.022<0.05.
