JURNAL ILMIAH PENDAS: PRIMARY EDUCATION JOURNAL merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, FKIP Universitas Mataram. Terbit dua kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan Juni (Januari-Juni), dan Desember (Juli-Desember). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulties in learning to write in grade II students at SD Negeri 1 Puyung and to identify the factors causing difficulties in learning to write in grade II. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method using observation, interview and documentation techniques. According to the results of the study, the difficulties in writing in grade II are as follows. The use of capital letters and lowercase letters is still mixed, the size and shape of the letters in the writing are not proportional and inconsistent, it is difficult to hold a pencil firmly. And the following are the factors causing difficulties in learning when starting to write: Factors from students such as slower development compared to peers, IQ, motor development, and cognitive development that may be impaired. External factors that may cause are the lack of support and writing culture from the family as the student's first school.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of schools in raising students' political awareness at Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School and the obstacles faced by schools in raising students' political awareness at Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School. This research is a descriptive type qualitative research with purposive sampling technique. The informants in this research were 11 people consisting of the principal, deputy principal as well as a citizenship education teacher, OSIS supervisor, OSIS chairman, OSIS deputy chairman and 3 students of class VIII and 3 IX of Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Next, the data validation technique uses a member check. The results of the research show that: 1) The role of the school in fostering students' political awareness at Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School is: a) the school as a forum for fostering student political participation through the election of the OSIS chairman, b) the school as a forum for forming a cadre of leaders through Basic Training Leadership (LDK), c) schools as a forum for providing political knowledge to students through Citizenship Education (PKn) learning. 2) The obstacles faced by schools in raising students' political awareness at Aswaja Syamsul Falah Islamic Middle School are the students themselves, namely the attitude of students who are: a) lazy, b) consider the activities of selecting the OSIS and LDK chairman to be useless for them and instead take up time. they are, c) students' lack of interest in Civics subject matter, and d) students' lack of curiosity

Abstract

Various character problems of the Indonesian nation are still very worrying. Various negative character facts have been shown by the Indonesian people with certain pretexts that seem to be right. The method used in this research is maudhu'i/thematic interpretation method. It is a qualitative approach. In the person of Prophet Ibrâhîm (peace be upon him), it contains the perfect human character immortalised in the Qur'ân. Among them are the Prophet Ibrâhîm as ummah, qânit, hanîf, halîm, awâh, munîb, sincere, patient, as will be discussed in the next chapter. In essence, the character possessed by the Prophet Ibrâhîm is a character to be emulated in life, especially by the leaders of this nation and society in general.

Abstract

Technology plays an important role in improving the quality and quality of education. To improve the quality of education, learning media is needed, especially Pancasila Education subjects. Creative and innovative learning media can help students understand the material. Digital learning media helps teachers in delivering interesting material and maximizing the spirit of student involvement in learning so that learning is not boring. But in reality, in the learning process of Pancasila education, the application of digital learning media is less considered, due to the limited use of technology among educators. This study aims to determine the feasibility and practicality of digital-based Harmony learning media content of Pancasila Education material for grade II elementary school students. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. This research involved two expert validators and 22 respondents in the SD Negeri Poncoruso Education unit. The data collection technique used expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Expert validation questionnaires are used to determine the feasibility of the media. Student and teacher response questionnaires were used to determine the practicality of the media. The findings of expert validation show an average percentage of 92% and these findings are included in the very feasible category. While the findings based on student responses showed an average percentage of 95.24% and teacher responses averaged a percentage of 94% with a very practical category.

Abstract

This study explores bullying prevention and intervention strategies in five public and private elementary schools in Sakaraha, Madagascar. Using a qualitative descriptive research design, the study employed three data collection methods: observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and school principals, and documentary analysis of school records and policies. The primary aim was to investigate the prevalence and types of bullying, the awareness of bullying among students and staff, and the effectiveness of current prevention programs. Findings revealed that bullying, particularly verbal and social exclusion, is prevalent during unstructured times such as recess and transitions between classes. While teachers and principals expressed awareness of bullying issues, their responses varied in consistency and effectiveness, with some schools having more active prevention measures than others. School policies on bullying were generally available but lacked detailed, practical guidelines for addressing the issue. Triangulation of data from the three sources confirmed the need for more consistent implementation of anti-bullying practices, clearer communication of policies, and greater student involvement in prevention efforts. The study highlights the importance of a cohesive, school-wide approach to bullying prevention, emphasizing the need for teacher training, student empowerment, and ongoing evaluation of intervention outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Landungsari on the topic of changes in living beings by implementing the cooperative learning model Student Active Learning (SAL). The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, which include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. In the pre-cycle stage, the class average score was still at 65.00 with a low mastery level of 14.71%. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after implementing the SAL model. The average score increased from 69.70 in the first cycle to 84.42 in the second cycle, with mastery learning rising from 29.42% to 76.47%. Furthermore, applying the SAL model enhanced students’ active participation in learning, particularly in group discussions and presentations. In conclusion, the SAL learning model improved learning outcomes and students’ critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. Therefore, this model can be considered a relevant strategy for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum to enhance elementary school learning quality.
