Abstract

Indonesia is located in an area with a high level of earthquake activity. Damage to buildings caused by the earthquake was caused by low quality materials and construction techniques that were not in accordance with construction rules. Lack of knowledge and understanding of construction workers on building techniques will lead to low building quality. The method used is lectures and discussions through socialization and direct field observations carried out together with training participants. This service aims to increase the competence of construction workers, which can be carried out through a socialization program on earthquake-resistant building planning. The socialization of increasing the competence of construction workers on building techniques according to the rules of earthquake-resistant building construction is one of the strategies for reducing (mitigation) disaster risk. The result of this service is an increase in technical understanding, especially in understanding the philosophy of earthquake-resistant building construction and technical implementation in accordance with the rules of construction science and established standards, especially regarding knowledge of iron circuits and connections/meetings, technical specifications, and concrete mixes.

Abstract

Garbage problems are common in every city. However, this can be resolved with various solutions that can overcome these problems. One of them is by conducting field observations, then conducting socialization and social approaches to residents. In this way, the waste problem can be solved little by little. The results of the observations showed that there were piles of garbage in the residents' gardens and the amount of garbage scattered in the waterways due to the absence of trash cans and the difficulty of accessing garbage trucks to transport residents' garbage. Especially in this era of covid 19, we must maintain cleanliness from various viruses. Garbage is a small thing that can trigger a virus to grow. Therefore, a solution was found to overcome the waste. With the solution for making trash cans by KKM students, residents can throw garbage in its place and use an open-top Tossa motorbike because it is small and can enter the narrow road in the bogeg neighborhood of RT 1 RW 2, Banjar Agung village. This is expected to be a solution to the waste problem in the area

Abstract

KKM (Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa) is a forum for college students to apply their knowledge gained at universities and play an active role in potential development by providing knowledge of Covid-19 to the community to encourage them remain productive during the pandemic. The main purpose of dedication is to fulfill one aspect of Tri Dharma University, namely dedication of college student to community and making village communities become independent. The method used is observation of the social condition’s community, socialization of the work program, then counselling and assistance to the village community. The result of dedication is through empowerment to make villages stronger and independent, such as in the field of education, by teaching elementary school students to read, count and provide knowledge about Covid-19, then in the health sector, by providing counselling about the impact of covid virus, also distributed masks and hand sanitizer to residents, then in the field of hygiene is by making trash cans to be placed at several points

Abstract

Kegiatan ini mengkaji tentang Pengembangan Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (Tbm) di Kelurahan Cipete Kecamatan Curug Kota Serang. Dengan Metode atau Teknik Participatory Rural Appraisal dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, Focus Group Discussion, dan studi pustaka kegiatan ini bertujuan mengetahui pengembangan taman bancaan masyarakat mengenai tugas dan fungsi taman bacaan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan belajar pada anak usia dini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Taman bacaan masyarakat yang ada di lingkungan desa Sindangkerta berperan sebagai sumber belajar anak-anak usia dini, sumber informasi bagi para orang tua dalam membina anak usia dini, dan sarana rekreasi-edukasi bagi masyrakat. Dengan demikian Taman bacaan masyarakat dapat berperan sebagai sarana belajar baik bagi anak-anak usia dini maupun para orang tua anak-anak- terutama ibu rumah tangga muda dalam memperluas pengetahuan mereka.

Abstract

Pada 27 April 2016, Pemerintah Republik Indonesia meluncurkan sebuah program peningkatan kota yang dikenal dengan sebutan KOTAKU atau Kota Tanpa Kumuh. Program ini mempunyai 8 Indikator Kota Kumuh; Kondisi Bangunan,Jalan Lingkungan, Drainase Lingkungan, Penyediaan Air Bersih/Minum, Pengelolaan Persampahan, Pengelolaan Limbah, Pengamanan Kebakaran, Ruang Terbuka Publik. Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa (KKM) Tematik Unbaja 2021 mengambil tema kolaborasi kegiatan KKM untuk mendukung program Kotaku di Kota Serang. Kelompok 13 KKM Unbaja 2021, yang bertempat di Lingkungan RT 10 Rw 03 lingkungan Keradenan, Kelurahan Kasunyatan melaksanakan 6 program, dimana 4 kegiatan mendukung program Kotaku dan 2 kegiatan lainnya Bakti Sosial Masyarakat di masa Pandemi Covid-19. Dari pelaksanaan KKM pada 26 Juli - 24 Agustus 2021, 84.1% berhasil dicapai sedangkan 15.9% lainnya merupakan kendala yang dihadapi kelompok 13.

Abstract

Final Project Writing is the obligation of every student to be able to complete his studies. In the process of preparing the Final Project, one of the important things that need to be learned by students is how to arrange references properly. Currently, there are many applications that can help in the reference management process, one of these applications is Mendeley. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide students with an understanding of how to use the Mendeley application so that there is an increase in the quality of scientific work, especially the Final Project that students will work on. The methods used in this Mendeley training include lectures, practice, discussions and online questions and answers through the Google Meet application. Participants in this Mendeley training were students of the Civil Engineering Study Program, University of Banten Jaya with 10 participants. The results of the training activities showed an increase in students' knowledge and understanding in using the Mendeley application. All students who take part in the training can install Mendeley on their respective laptops, enter documents that are used as reference sources into the Mendeley application, do citations and create a bibliography using the menu found on Mendeley.

Abstract

Green chemistry is an alternative solution that can be used by chemistry teachers for safe and environmentally friendly chemistry experiments in schools. This community service aims to provide training to high school/vocational high school chemistry teachers in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra to carry out simple practical activities based on green chemistry. This service activity consists of 3 main stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The target audience for this community service activity are 24 high school chemistry teachers from Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. And furthermore, it is hoped that chemistry teachers who attend training can guide their chemistry teacher colleagues in their place. There are 7 simple green chemistry-based practical procedures collected from this service activity. The simple green chemistry-based practicum procedures are: 1) Redox reactions; 2) Making Binahong Covid-19 Herbal Soap; 3) Factors Affecting Reaction Rate; 4) Colloid-Tofu Making; 5) Colloids - Clumping (Coagulation) of Colloidal Particles; 6) Combustion of carbon compounds (complete and incomplete combustion); 7) Freezing Rubber Sap Using Pineapple Peel Extract. Overall, the target audience has been trained to make simple practical procedures based on green chemistry. This can be seen from the materials and practicum procedures that are in accordance with the basic principles of green chemistry, namely environmentally friendly, reducing environmental pollution, not classified as hazardous materials.

Abstract

Keterampilan guru mendesain pembelajaran sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran peserta didiknya. Apalagi saat ini, perkembangan teknologi informasi sudah semakin mewarnai dunia pendidikan dan peserta didik butuh media pembelajaran yang berbasis teknologi agar tidak monoton saat belajar. Kegiatan pengenalan aplikasi matematika Desmos ini dilaksanakan bertujuan sebagai salah satu cara agar peserta didik mudah dalam menggambar sketsa grafik dari persamaan yang diberikan sekaligus menemukan koordinat titik potong dari beberapa grafik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu peserta didik mudah menggambar berbagai grafik berdasarkan persamaan matematika yang diinput ke dalam aplikasi tersebut. Selain itu, peserta didik juga dapat mencari koordinat titik potong dari beberapa grafik ketika menggunakan aplikasi tersebut.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, the COVID-19 virus has worsened the state of the Indonesian economy. What's more, our society is required to be able to fulfill daily nutrition as a preventive measure from the Corona virus. So, in order to improve the basic nutrition of the community every day, the PPM team created a program based on Creativity Digital Marketing of Vegetarian Food with the theme of local culinary Rabeg Vegetarian and Nasi Mandhi. Before the PPM program was implemented, Rabeg from Cilegon was a culinary dish in the form of mutton stew that has a spicy taste. After the PPM program was implemented, Rabeg had a unique taste because it was made from soybeans in the form of tofu and tempeh combined with Rabeg spices. Meanwhile, Nasi Mandhi, before the PPM program was implemented, was in the form of spiced rice which was usually served with mutton or chicken. After the PPM program was implemented, Nasi Mandhi was combined with Vegetarian Rabeg as a meat substitute, as well as emping crackers and balado egg sauce as a complement. The method/approach used to manage the Vegetarian Rabeg and Nasi Mandhi is participatory, from planning to evaluation, which is carried out directly or indirectly, for example through seminars, coaching home industry owners for Vegetarian Rabeg and Nasi Mandhi. As well as information about local culinary rabeg and the process of making it through electronic media in the form of Instagram @kelclgraberian.

Abstract

Briquette is an alternative energy substitute for fuel produced from underutilized organic materials or biomass. Several types of biomass waste have considerable potentials such as wood waste, rice husks, straw, bagasse, and palm shells. In this paper, the results of the manufacture of charcoal briquettes from sawdust are presented. The writing process is carried out using a modified drum furnace. The charcoal obtained is then ground to a powder form and then filtered using a 40 mesh sieve. The charcoal that passes the filter is then mixed with 5% tapioca flour adhesive. The raw material is printed with a paragon mold, then dried in the sun for 1 to 3 days depending on weather conditions. Charcoal briquettes produced in general can produce better physical and chemical properties when compared to the quality of the raw materials. Moisture content ranged from 2.59 - 9.31%, ash content 1.75 - 10.47%, volatile matter content 13.45 - 19.89%, bound carbon content 67.17 - 75.75%, density 0 .32 - 0.71 g/cm2, compressive strength 6.57 - 18.19 kg/cm3, and the calorific value ranged from 5.953 to 6.906 ka/g. Seeing from the results of this study that sawdust from the frame industry waste can be used as an alternative raw material in the manufacture of briquettes
