Abstract

Production plays an important role in maintaining the quality and quantity of products until they reach consumers. The many important activities in the production process require companies to improve their performance to be effective and efficient in order to maintain trust. PT XYZ is a BUMD company engaged in the manufacturing of fertilizer and dolomite rock mining materials since 2018. In production activities, there are various activities that do not have added value or waste. This study aims to identify waste and find out the root causes of waste in production process activities. The implementation of Lean manufacturing is carried out by identifying the warehousing flow process with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), then identifying 7 wastes that occur in the warehousing process using the Waste Assessment Model (WAM) method. The results of the study showed that the waste with the highest percentage level was waste Processing (P) waste transportation (T) waste overproduction (D). From the proposed improvements and mapping of future flows, it was found that lead time was reduced to 264 minutes from 350 minutes, which means eliminating 86 minutes of activities that did not provide added value. Thus, activity increased by 22% from the initial condition.

Abstract

Gayamsari Intersection and Lamper Intersection in Semarang City are signalized intersections that experience high levels of vehicle queues and delays, especially during peak hours. This study aims to design signal coordination between intersections to improve traffic performance. The analysis was conducted based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023, with a five-day field survey covering active days (Monday-Wednesday) and weekends (Saturday-Sunday). Peak hour traffic volume data was used to analyze existing conditions, including degree of saturation (DJ), queue length (PA), and delay (T) parameters. Several signal cycle planning scenarios were tested, and an optimal cycle of 180 seconds for weekdays and 130 seconds for weekends was obtained. Signal coordination can only be applied from Lamper to Gayamsari intersection, because in the reverse direction straight vehicles at Gayamsari intersection do not face red signals. Signal coordination is designed using the bandwidth and offset time method, with an offset of 45 seconds. The design results show a bandwidth of 60 seconds (morning) and 81 seconds (afternoon) on active days, and 43 seconds (morning) and 51 seconds (afternoon) on weekends. This design is expected to reduce vehicle delays and queues, and improve traffic efficiency at both intersections.

Abstract

The rapid increase in interconnected devices, commonly known as the Internet of Things (IoT), has significantly impacted various sectors, enhancing services in energy, transport, health, and more. Unfortunately, that means consumers are facing increasing challenges in choice of quality IoT devices and services alike. Importantly, traditional methods of recommendation are largely reliant on collaborative or content-based filtering, which suffer from problems such as sparsity of data and the cold start problem that all result in potentially large inaccuracies. In this regard, this study supplies a unique QoS prediction approach with Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), i.e., GRU-GAN is proposed to address these challenges. This approach maps the QoS matrix on service call records, involving user attributes and historical QoS records as a time series to train GRU-GAN model. In the GAN, the generator is trained to predict realistic QoS values and then discriminator evaluates classifying these predictions. We experimentally show the efficiency of our model. Our GRU-GAN model consistently outperforms traditional QoS prediction methods showing lower RMSE and MAE with regards to different data densities. More concretely, it had an RMSE of 0.16 and MAE of.05 with data density at 5%, and performed best across all the model as your increased data availability beyond that scale. In conclusion, the GRU-GAN model offers a robust solution for QoS prediction in IoT ser- vice recommendations, effectively handling data sparsity and enhancing prediction accuracy.

Abstract

Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) is an offshore floating platform designed to process and store oil Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) is a type of floating offshore platform that functions to process and store oil and gas before being distributed to consumers. A critical component of the FPSO, designed to ensure the product can be safely processed and transported, is the topside module. Currently, the Seawater Filtration Module project is facing delay challenges that impact both project cost and completion time. Using the existing case study, this research applies the Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify the critical path within the overall project schedule, as well as the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) to manage uncertainties in the completion time of critical activities. To evaluate the acceleration strategy with consideration of additional costs, the Time-Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) method is employed. The research findings indicate that the project experienced a 51-day delay from the original schedule, which targeted completion by January 31, 2024. A total of 11 activities were identified as part of the critical path contributing to the delay. To address this issue, acceleration was carried out by adding labor based on the productivity of each activity. The results show that the addition of 17 workers successfully reduced the duration of critical activities from 721 days to 670 days. Probability analysis indicated a success rate of 82.64% for the acceleration effort. Meanwhile, the cost calculation showed that the acceleration required an additional expense of Rp 30,913,709.

Abstract

The construction of toll roads is a key government program aimed at enhancing public productivity and accelerating national economic growth. To ensure that toll road construction meets the desired quality, time, and cost objectives, the involvement of competent supervision consultants is essential. However, suboptimal performance of these consultants often leads to less-than-ideal project outcomes. This study aimed to analyse the performance evaluation indicators of supervision consultants and incorporate them into a comprehensive performance assessment rubric for supervision consultants in toll road construction projects. The research methodology combined literature review, questionnaire surveys, and expert interviews for data collection. Then, each indication is ranked and weighted using the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) approaches. The results showed that respondents and experts identified 18 important indicators grouped into three categories soft skills, technical skills, and project supervision which can be used in a validated performance assessment rubric for evaluating supervision consultants in toll road construction projects.

Abstract

Geothermal energy is one of the potential and sustainable renewable energy sources in Indonesia. The efficiency of the generation system is one of the crucial aspects in optimizing the utilization of this energy. This study aims to analyze the performance of synchronous generators at the Kamojang Unit 5 Geothermal Power Plant based on power, current, and voltage parameters. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with field data collection for seven consecutive days in January 2025. The data observed include active power, apparent power, power factor, terminal voltage, phase current, and generator efficiency and current imbalance between phases. The results showed that the generator had high and stable daily efficiency with an average of 93.99%. The power factor was also classified as good, with an average of 91.23%. The highest phase current imbalance occurred in phase V with an average of 1.60%, but was still within the safe threshold according to IEEE standards. These findings indicate that the generation system at the Kamojang Unit 5 Geothermal Power Plant operates in an efficient and stable condition. This study also indicates the importance of monitoring operational parameters periodically as part of a maintenance strategy and increasing the reliability of geothermal power plants. With high efficiency and system stability, Kamojang Unit 5 Geothermal Power Plant can be a model for reliable and sustainable renewable energy power plant operation.

Abstract

Digital transformation has increased operational efficiency infrastructure critical, but at the same time also open new loophole against attack increasingly complex and destructive cyberspace. This study aims to identify spectrum threat cyber targeting infrastructure critical, analyzing vulnerability accompanying systemic, as well evaluate strategy multi-level protection used in mitigation risk cyber. Using approach qualitative through review methods systematically, this study examines 20 primary sources in the form of scientific journals, policy reports, and studies. case international published 2015–2024. The research results revealed that threats such as ransomware, Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), attacks AI -based, and zero-day exploits are becoming a form of attack dominant, with energy, health, and communications sectors as the main targets. Vulnerabilities systemic found in aspects of old technology that is not updated, governance weaknesse, as well as low awareness cyber at the level operational. Strategy effective protection nature layered, including perimeter security, access management, data encryption, training awareness, to response incidents and system recovery. This study recommends integration strategy adaptive, data -based protection risk, and supported by policies strong national to strengthen resilience cyber sector infrastructure critical.

Abstract

Competition for construction service is more competitive, the ability to win the tenders is an indicator of success in competition. The method of selecting the service provider with the lowest price often leads to different interpretations. It can be seen from the number of bids below 80% which continues to increase. This research aims to identify the value of the factors that influence the supply below 80%, analyze the dominant factors that have the most influence, and determine the respondents' views based on the company's qualifications in determining the factors that influence the occurrence of bids below 80%. The research method uses the Relative Importance Index (RII). The result of this research obtained 24 factors that affect the value of the offer under 80%. From these 24 factors, ten dominant factors were found, such as (1) the type of project; (2) Project duration; (3) Government Regulations; (4) the risk of carrying out the work; (5) Fluctuations in resource prices; (6) availability of qualified staff; (7) Past failures/profits in similar projects; (8) Tender method (open/close); (9) availability of required funds and office overhead; and (10) Document completeness and design quality.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with a large livestock population. A healthy and stable livestock population can affect the production and availability of livestock products, such as meat, milk, eggs, and skin. FAO's Domestic Animal Diversity - Information System (DAD-IS) data (2020) recorded around 206 large farms, small farms, poultry and pigs. Clustering is a technique for grouping data without unknown class labels. Clustering is used to find data that has similarities. The clustering technique is to determine the initial cluster center. This study is intended to determine the best cluster value using the selected method. The purpose of this study is to create a system that can process and group data. With data obtained from the central statistics agency. This study uses the topic of Livestock Population Map in Indonesia using K-Medoids. The algorithm used in this study is K-Medoids. The K-Medoids method is a variation of the K-Means method to retrieve k data, the number of clusters in a data set with n objects. There are several processes carried out in this study including collecting data, then entering the preprocessing stage, grouping data that has similarities between data. After clustering using K-Medoids, it was found that Cluster 0 had 3 provinces with the highest average population with types of livestock such as Dairy cattle, Beef cattle, Sheep and Goats, Cluster 1 had 29 provinces with the lowest average population, Cluster 2 had 2 provinces with the highest average number for types of livestock such as Buffalo, Horse and Pig.

Abstract

The development of technology in the construction industry drives the need for efficient and accurate planning methods, especially in material volume estimation which affects the budget and smooth running of the project. This study aims to compare the efficiency of material volume estimation between Two Building Information Modelling-Base software, namely Tekla Structure and Autodesk Revit. The study was conducted on the construction project of DPRD Building in North Lombok Regency. The method used includes modelling the main building structure such as foundations, sloofs, columns, beams, floor slabs, and roof structures in both software base on the same technical data. The estimated concrete volume and reinforcement weight data from each software were then analyzed quantitatively and compared with the conventional method. The results show that the concrete volume of the conventional method is about 7,8% larger than the results from Revit and Tekla. Meanwhile, the conventional method’s estimated reinforcement wight is up to 17,6% higher. Each software provides almost identical outputs, albeit with different approaches and interface. The efficiency is particularly noticeable in structural elements such as beams and floor slabs. These findings suggest that the use of BIM in the planning process can improve the accuracy of material estimation, minimize potential waste, and support more effective and accurate construction planning.
