Abstract

PT JJ is the largest and most integrated agri-food company in Indonesia. The company's main business units are the manufacture of animal feed, chicken breeding, poultry processing and agricultural cultivation. PT. JJ has 3 dryer machines, including dryer 1, dryer 2, and dryer 3, in this drying process there is a problem in dryer 3, where the carrying capacity of raw materials is not sufficient so that drying activities are hampered and the dryer machine does not work optimally, with problems This causes the production process to experience obstacles so that it wastes a lot of time which makes work ineffective and detrimental to the company. By doing this research, it aims to increase the carrying capacity of corn raw materials in the dryer machine which is only capable of transporting 17 tons/hour of raw material and to maximize the productivity of the dryer machine, so that production time is more effective and minimizes losses. After redesigning the bucket using the Common Formula Elevators formula, the bucket capacity/volume increased from 0.5 kg/bucket to 0.8 kg/bucket, increased the elevator engine capacity from 17 tons/hour to 23 tons/hour, and made changes in the form of a bucket elevator.

Abstract

PT. WWW strives to deliver products in a timely and cost efficient manner. The determination of the LPG distribution route that has been carried out so far is the result of an estimate without calculation so that transportation costs always increase unexpectedly, so PT. WWW cannot determine fixed costs for transportation and time of goods to arrive so that it has an impact on customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the path that provides the shortest route so as to minimize transportation costs and as a reference for product distribution and at the same time can answer the problem of the right delivery time and have an impact on customer satisfaction. The results of the study resulted in a better and optimal proposed route where the shortest route for fleet one was through the PAS – ND – LH – BD – PT. WWW with the calculation of the distance: 3.1 + 1.4 + 0.60 + 0.03 totaling 5.13 km / day. And for the fleet two through the PAS – ED – SN – WR – PT. WWW with the calculation of the distance: 3.9 + 2.9 + 1.4 + 4.0 totaling 12.2 km/day. The transportation cost for the six bases is Rp. 1,323,520,-/month

Abstract

Drugs are essential, if there is a shortage of a drug at the pharmacy can cause a vacancy, then what should be controlled, how much should be ordered, and when should be reordered. The purpose of this study is how the steps in the drug control process are the determinants, including the number of drug sales and knowing the planning and control system of drug inventory. The method in this study is the ABC classification analysis method to find out which drugs are the priority control, and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to find out how many drugs must be ordered each time the order process. In the ABC method, there are 32 types of drugs that are prioritized to be controlled because the investment value is quite high from the total 170 kinds of drugs found in the Kafi pharmacy. Then the right calculation is needed to find out the optimal number of orders, namely the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. By applying this method, it will be very helpful for the management of Kafi Pharmacy because using the EOQ method of Kafi Pharmacy can save the total cost of inventory by 30,642%. Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces bottle cap products such as flip top ∅40-12 white snap on, which in the production process in July and August 2022 there is a problem of the high number of reject products exceeding the regulatory limit, reaching 12.11% or 77,472 units from 640,00 units. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of defects and find the highest factors that cause defects that occur in flip top ∅40-12 white snap on stamp products. Seven tools are methods that can be used to measure the level of defects and identify the cause of defects. The results of the analysis showed that the level of defects that occurred was not within the control limit and improvement was needed, because the proportion value moved irregularly past the UCL and LCL limits. From the analysis of the pareto diagram, the highest defect was obtained, namely black spots as many as 42,380 units with a percentage of 54.7%. Based on the fishbone diagram analysis, it was found that the causes of black spots were raw materials contaminated with dirt, selectors were not thorough and skilled, moulding was not in good condition, the use of sacks and work did not comply with SOPs, and a hot and dusty work environment.
