Abstract

Good factory layout planning is one of the factors that can increase company productivity. Layout is a facility design, layout analysis, concept formation, as well as the embodiment of the system for making goods or services. Applying a good layout in a company can cut the time needed in a production process and also reduce the energy that must be expended by workers. This research was conducted at PT. ABC is part of the Drivetrain Unit Department located in the Bukit Indah City Industrial Area, Purwakarta, West Java. The object to be observed is the layout of the factory for the production of single part trunnion which is devoted to the seat trunnion sub-component. The research method used is quantitative method. Data processing used to solve problems at PT. ABC uses the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) Method approach. The goal is to be able to optimize the existing layout and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the productivity of the company's performance. The conclusion is that the current condition of the factory layout is quite effective because it can produce one trunnion product faster than the predetermined takt time. However, there are still some improvements in the layout of the factory and the production process. Researchers try to provide suggestions for the layout of the new factory and its production process. The result is that the suggested layout has a time that is 94 seconds faster than before. Abstract

PT. A found to have lost time production problems due to rain so that it was not possible to transport the transfer of materials. It can be concluded that the recommended layout is the proposed layout 2 where the total distance and moment of material handling per month is known to be the difference from the simulation of the initial model layout of 97 meters from the total initial distance and the difference in the moment of material handling in a month of 2,089 meters from the initial material handling moment with the addition of cover facilities for all material handling lines so that in any weather the material handling transportation process between departments is not disturbed. In the output results obtained using the FlexSim software simulation proposal 2, where all output products are above the number of initial simulation outputs and proposal 1 where the number of outputs is known to be 418,224, 144,695, 120,677, 80,557, and 40,131. While the comparison of material handling costs explained earlier there was no decrease, but what happened instead was an increase in proposal 1 and proposal 2, but the increase was still said to be reasonable because the highest cost obtained in the simulation, namely in proposal 2 of IDR 2,307,431.00, was still below the employee's salary of IDR 2,340,000.00 which had been determined by the company. Abstract

The optimal growth and development rate of children starts from pre-primary school age, so it is suspected that there are real differences in anthropometric data of students' bodies when they are 1 year older. If so, then for each class of elementary school students, the dimensions of the learning table-chair must also be differentiated. Different anthropometric data from grades one to six, the dimensions of the chairs and tables used during the learning process, and the unusual and uncomfortable sitting positions of students indicate that the facilities at school are not ergonomic. Therefore, it is necessary to design ergonomic facilities. This research is expected to provide certainty about the ergonomics of the dimensions of learning tables and chairs for each class in educational institutions to redesign learning tables and chairs by statistically mapping anthropometric data on the bodies of elementary school students in grades one to six to determine the ergonomic dimensions of their learning tables and chairs. The method approach used is statistical testing (One-Way Anova and Duncan). The data collection process with a sample of 240 anthropometric data and 80 musculoskeletal complaint data, the data analysis uses data uniformity test, data adequacy test, data normality test, anova, duncan, percentile and wilcoxon test. The results of this study obtained three anthropometric data mapping groups, namely group A (classes 1 and 2), group B (classes 3 and 4) and group C (classes 5 and 6). The three mapping groups were used to redesign ergonomic tables and chairs with different dimensions. The material used is teak wood and brown in color, after which the results of the redesign were tested, a decrease in musculoskeletal complaints was obtained by 32.57%. Abstract

The current trade era opens up opportunities for trading Indonesian coffee in the international market. The number of future exports can be predicted by knowing past export prices. The method that can be used to predict the number of Indonesian coffee exports to various countries is the Fuzzy Time Series method. The Fuzzy Time Series method, the forecasting technique, utilizes fuzzy sets as the basis for the prediction process. In this study, the forecasting stages include defining Xmax and Xmin, determining how many and how long class intervals are, defuzzification and defining fuzzy sets, fuzzifying data on the number of coffee exports, determining fuzzy logic relationships (FLR), establishing fuzzy logical groups (FLRG) relationships, defuzzification, and perform forecasting calculations. Using the Fuzzy Time Series Method, the results of forecasting Indonesia's coffee exports for the following year are 376371.3 tons of coffee products to be exported so that exporters can see this opportunity Keywords: Coffee, export, forecasting, fuzzy time series

Abstract

Farmers in Papungan Village, Blitar Regency, are experiencing problems, namely the lack of subsidized fertilizer from the government to meet the demand for fertilizer for their agricultural land. To meet this shortage, farmers apply organic nutrient fertilizers as a substitute for non-subsidized and chemical fertilizers, but the process of making organic nutrient fertilizers requires a long fermentation process, which is 16-30 days. Therefore it is necessary to have an Anaerobic Bioreactor to help speed up the fermentation. This tool is quite expensive for farmers in Papungan village, so it is necessary to analyze the level of investment feasibility of the Anaerobic Bioreactor tool to find out whether it is worth buying or investing. From the calculation results obtained NPV (Net Present Value) of IDR 9,266,620, IRR (Internal Rate Of Return) of 40.1513% and BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) of 1.0289 so it can be concluded that the purchase of Anaerobic Bioreactors is feasible. Abstract

With the development of the era of globalization and technological progress, the development of a manufacturer must also increase. One way to increase labour productivity is to calculate standard time. The standard time is the time required reasonably by a normal worker to complete a job that is carried out in the best work system. The research was carried out by direct observation in the field. Observation of the standard time that occurs through a certain time interval is useful for knowing the description of the use of queues. In this study, the population was operators working at PT Y at the time of the study, while the sample used was the total time of O-Ring installation. The analysis method used in this study uses the standard time analysis method using a stopwatch. Adjustments are made as a measuring effort to normalize the average price carried out by the operator. Adjustments are taken into account because operators in the work can do inappropriately, for example too fast as if in a hurry, encounter some difficulties, and other things. Time data collection was carried out 30 times by breaking down the work into three motion elements. The results of the standard time measurement for each motion element are motion element A of 65.125 seconds, motion element B of 463.84 seconds and motion element C of 59.66 seconds. Abstract

Coffee is one of Indonesia’s leading commodities which has enormous demand both from domestic and global market. The increasing number of requests makes suppliers and producers of coffee-based products not always able to fulfil the demands due to non-standard and inflexible business processes. This study examined the coffee demand fulfilment business process at SME BC, a producer of Gayo Arabica coffee powder, employing the Business Process Management (BPM). The business process modelling was conducted using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and the simulation with Software Bizagi Modeler. The as-is model resulted in 37 activities with total time of 1,165 minutes, while the proposed to-be model resulted in 33 activities with total time of 183 minutes. The comparison with Devil’s Quadrangle, time-wise and flexibility-wise, between the as-is and to-be model indicated increases in time efficiency of 84% and process flexibility by 11%.
