Abstract

The high level of scrap in the bias cutting process at PT. ADM, particularly caused by ineffective side gume rolling, has impacted production efficiency. This final project aims to overcome this issue by modifying the side gume roller system on the DBC-03 machine. The original pneumatic motor was replaced with a three-phase induction motor, controlled by a PLC system integrated with a distance sensor and inverter to automatically adjust motor speed based on the diameter of the rolled material. The modification process included designing, assembling, and implementing the control system, followed by field testing. The results show that the new system significantly improves the roller's pulling strength, increases the rolling capacity, and enhances ease of operation. The distance sensor accurately detects changes in material diameter, and the inverter ensures stable speed control. Overall, the modified system has proven effective in reducing scrap, supporting continuous production, and providing a reliable solution for the bias cutting process in the tire manufacturing industry.

Abstract

The development of electric vehicles (EV) has driven the tire industry to meet new standards related to electrical resistance, in order to ensure the effective discharge of static electricity to the ground. PT AMS continues to face challenges in maintaining the electrical resistance of tires within a stable range and in accordance with OEM customer specifications, which set a maximum limit of 10⁶ Ohms. This study aims to identify blocking points of electrical flow within the tire structure and to evaluate the effectiveness of the antenna as an additional grounding path. Experimental testing was conducted on three types of whole tires with different configurations using a Super Megohm Meter and an EKTRON machine. Data analysis included data sufficiency tests, normality test, homogeneity test, Welch ANOVA test, Games-Howell post hoc test, Welch T-Test, and effect size calculation (Cohen’s d). The results showed that the antenna significantly reduced resistance, especially when directly connected to the tread. These findings can serve as a reference for developing more conductive tire designs that meet EV industry standards.

Abstract

Quality control in cable manufacturing is important to guarantee product reliability. The use of semi-automated machines, such as electric motor-powered slicing machines, is essential in creating test specimens.Existing cutting machines have limitations, such as a fixed speed, which slows down the cutting process. This study improves the efficiency of the slicing machine by using an inverter to regulate the frequency and speed of the motor. The inverter with a frequency of 127-135 Hz reduced the cutting time from 28 seconds to 10.28-9.69 seconds.The 370 W motor produces 2.52 Nm of torque, which is converted to 75.6 Nm at the output of the gearbox with a ratio of 1:30. With a gearbox efficiency of 90%, the available torque on the blade is 68.04 Nm at a speed of 4.89 rad/s, resulting in an effective power of 332.73 W. This modification is powerful enough to slice cable insulation according to specifications.

Abstract

The use of websites as digital learning media continues to grow; however, conventional PDF-based learningstill lacks interactivity and ef icient content understanding. This study aims to design and develop a PDF-basedlearning website integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The research method includes system design usingUnified Modeling Language (UML), web application development with the Flask framework, and MySQL as thedatabase. The developed system provides PDF upload, automatic content summarization, quiz generation, andAI-based question-and-answer features. The results show that the system improves learning ef iciency andsupports better comprehension of learning materials. This website is expected to support more interactive andef ective digital learning environments.

This system is designed to overcome manual governance barriers such as data loss and cost inefficiency. The methodology includes field observation, problem identification, and user interface design. The result is an inventory application that enables real-time and systematic asset monitoring. The conclusion shows that the application has successfully improved administrative order and facilitated access to asset information for both management and members.

Abstract

The poInventory management efficiency and data accuracy are critical factors in logistics operations. Classicissues such as the accumulation of expired goods (dead stock), physical stock discrepancies, and delays inreturn handling frequently occur due to manual spreadsheet-based recording methods. This study aims to designand build a web-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrating the Laravel framework with NoSQLdatabase technology (Firestore) to accelerate data access. The system implements automatic stock allocationalgorithms based on First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) and First-In-First-Out (FIFO), a capacity validationfeature (Gatekeeper), and a Closed-Loop Return mechanism for return tracking. The testing method employedblack-box testing and operational performance comparative analysis. The results indicate that the systemimplementation improved stock accuracy from 85% to 98%. Furthermore, item search time efficiency increasedsignificantly by 6,000% (from 120 seconds to 2 seconds) due to the NoSQL data structure. The Gatekeeperfeature proved valid in rejecting inbound transactions during overcapacity, while the FEFO algorithmsuccessfully prioritized the issuance of goods nearing expiration automatically. This study concludes that digitaltransformation through WMS can minimize human error and enhance warehouse operational speed in real-time

Abstract

Manual attendance systems are still widely used in educational institutions and companies, leading toinefficiencies in recording, monitoring, and reporting attendance. This study aims to design and implement amobile-based attendance management application using Flutter as the frontend and Laravel as the backend. Thedevelopment method used is the Waterfall model with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation,and testing. The application is equipped with login features, user data management, digital attendancerecording, and attendance reports accessible via smartphones. Functional testing results show that all featureswork as expected. Integration between Flutter and Laravel through RESTful API proves effective in supportingstable and secure data communication. With this application, the attendance process becomes more efficient,structured, and easy to monitor.

Abstract

The rapid growth of data-driven decision making requires systems capable of managing and presenting data in an effective, flexible, and user-friendly manner. However, variations in dataset characteristics, such as numerical and categorical data, often pose challenges in selecting appropriate visualization techniques. Therefore, this study designs and develops a web-based data visualization application equipped with an automatic data type detection mechanism. The system is able to identify data types automatically and determine suitable visualization forms, including bar charts, line charts, pie charts, histograms, radar charts, and polar area charts. The developed application allows users to import datasets, monitor data quality, and perform interactive visual analysis. The implementation results indicate that the system can present various types of datasets in a structured manner and assist users in understanding data patterns, trends, and characteristics more quickly and intuitively. Thus, this application supports visual analytics processes and enhances the effectiveness of information analysis.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement a web-based item borrowing monitoring application as an alternative solution for asset management in a village environment. Common problems encountered in village asset management include manual borrowing records, unstructured documentation, difficulties in tracking the status of borrowed items, and an increased risk of delayed returns and asset loss. The implementation stages consist of observation and interviews to identify user requirements, system design with role-based access for Admin and Borrower, application implementation, user training for village officials and community members, and pilot testing during asset borrowing activities. The developed application is equipped with features such as item inventory management, borrowing and return transaction records, real-time monitoring of borrowing status, user activity history, and report generation. The implementation results indicate that the application improves the organization of borrowing administration, provides clearer information on item status, and accelerates data retrieval compared to the manual system. In addition, borrowing records are well documented, supporting transparency and accountability in village asset management. Therefore, the implementation of a web-based item borrowing monitoring application is considered effective in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management in village communities.
