Abstract

Fraudulent behaviors offer a serious danger to companies since they can result in considerable financial losses, harm the company's reputation, and a decline in stakeholder confidence. This research examines the effects of fraud on PT BIM and how knowledge management can serve as a preventative measure against fraudulent activities. It also seeks to assess the potential impact of knowledge management in reducing fraud risks and boosting the company's fraud prevention system. This research uses qualitative methods to explore fraud inside PT BIM, interviewing personnel and revealing potential benefits of knowledge management implementation in fraud prevention. Knowledge management can improve the company's capacity to detect and prevent fraud by cultivating an awareness and vigilance culture among employees. It can help in the establishment and implementation of strong internal controls and policies that act as effective fraud deterrents. It can also aid in the identification of developing fraud trends and patterns, allowing companies to adjust their fraud protection methods accordingly. PT BIM can use knowledge management frameworks such as the SECI Model to improve internal controls, increase staff knowledge, and respond quickly to new fraud concerns. This allows for the rapid broadcast of information about developing fraud tendencies, new methods of operation, and preventive measures.

Abstract

Bidara leaves (Ziziphus spina-christi) contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins, triterpenoids and tannins which can be a source of antioxidants. In Indonesia, bidara leaves are used as herbal medicine by boiling fresh leaves. The products that developed from bidara leaves are health supplements and herbal teas from bidara leaves, but scientific studies about the antioxidant compounds of bidara leaves are still limited. There are antioxidant components that are non-polar, semi-polar or polar. This study examines the polarity of antioxidant compounds in bidara leaves. In this study, bidara leaves dried with a fluidized bed dryer had better chemical and physical characteristics. The results of the extraction by using various solvents (water, ethanol, ethyl acetate, and hexane) with maceration method showed that the highest antioxidant capacity was in the ethanol fraction (p<0.05). These results were measured based on the antioxidant activity parameters that DPPH scavenging, FRAP values, total phenolic, and total flavonoids. These results indicate that most of antioxidant compounds in bidara leaves have high polarity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cycle of contentions in the mobilization of the Sekber 65 movement by outlining strategies for utilizing threats and opportunities. Reform succeeded in driving the formation of a democratic narrative and the state's commitment to meeting the human rights needs of its citizens. Democracy influenced the emergence of various social movements and civil society organizations that consistently criticized the state. Various contentious actions responded to the increasing cases of human rights violations by the post-reform state. Sekber 65 is one of the social movements that emerged at the beginning of the reformation period to try to restore the reputation of the 65’s victims and demand protection of human rights from the state for them. The contentions relationship between Sekber 65 and the state analyzes using the theory of contentious politics in social movements from Sidney Tarrow's perspective, particularly in using threats and opportunities in the cycle of contentions. This research uses qualitative methods and a case study approach. This research obtained primary data sources through in-depth interviews with Sekber 65 officials. This study found that (1) Sekber 65 emerged from post-reform democratization opportunities and continues to face threats in the form of state rejection of 65’s victims. However, Sekber 65 seeks opportunities during this lifelong threat by mobilizing a broader movement. (2) Sekber 65 has the cycle of contentions stages, creating a demobilization movement.
