Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Determine the impact of the development of Moian Beach tourism object on increasing local community income; (2) Formulate development strategies for Moian Beach tourism based on SWOT Analysis in order to establish it as a sustainable tourism destination; and (3) Identify obstacles and issues in the development of beach tourism and formulate appropriate solutions.. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a simple quantitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to respondents consisting of managers/BUMDes, local communities, and tourists. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis methods, IFAS-EFAS matrix analysis, as well as SWOT and TOWS analysis. The results show that: An income increase of 34.8% indicates that the management of Moian Beach tourism by BUMDes has provided a positive economic impact on the local community. Furthermore, there is a multiplier effect mechanism, where the circulation of money is not only enjoyed by managers but also impacts the income increase of traders, service providers, and the wider community. Based on the calculation results, the IFAS matrix obtained a score of 2.88 and the EFAS matrix obtained a score of 2.81. These results place Moian Beach in Quadrant I on the strategic map, meaning it is in a very advantageous position with strong internal strengths supported by great external opportunities. The most appropriate strategy to implement is an Aggressive Strategy (Growth Strategy), which is to maximize existing strengths to seize market opportunities, carry out development expansion, and expand promotion. However, several obstacles were found in the implementation, such as limited infrastructure, less professional human resource capacity, and profit-sharing management that has not been fully equitable. Therefore, the concept of sustainable tourism is very important to be applied to balance economic aspects, socio-cultural aspects, and environmental preservation. The conclusion of this study suggests improvements to management, enhancement of facilities, and the establishment of firm village regulations so that economic benefits can be felt fairly and sustainably by the present and future generations.

Abstract

Background: Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children. The high incidence of ISPA in the Telaga Biru Health Center work area shows the need for efforts to increase parental knowledge in carrying out appropriate initial handling. SIGAP Education (Respiratory Emergency Alert) is one of the health education innovations designed to improve parental preparedness in dealing with respiratory disorders in children. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of SIGAP (Respiratory Emergency Alert) education on increasing parents' knowledge about the handling of ISPA in children at the Telaga Biru Health Center. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest. The research was carried out at the Telaga Biru Health Center in January-February 2026. The research sample amounted to 44 parents who had children with ARI. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire and analyzed using a paired t-test. Results: The results showed that before being given SIGAP education, most of the respondents had a moderate level of knowledge of 21 people (47.7%), 20 people (45.5%) of high knowledge, and 3 people of low knowledge (6.8%). After being given SIGAP education, the majority of respondents had a high level of knowledge of 41 people (93.2%) and a medium level of knowledge of 3 people (6.8%). The results of the paired t-test showed an increase in the average knowledge value from 2.39 ± 0.618 to 2.93 ± 0.255 with a p value of < 0.001, which shows a significant influence of SIGAP education on increasing parental knowledge about the treatment of ISPA in children. Conclusion: SIGAP (Respiratory Emergency Alert) education has proven to be effective in increasing parents' knowledge about the handling of ISPA in children at the Telaga Biru Health Center. This educational program can be used as one of the health promotion strategies to increase family preparedness in dealing with respiratory disorders in children.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that can cause various complications, one of which is sexual dysfunction. The length of suffering from DM is suspected to play a role in increasing the risk of sexual dysfunction due to progressive nerve and blood vessel damage. This study aims to determine the relationship between the length of time suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and the incidence of sexual dysfunction in the working area of the Tilongkabila Health Center, Bone Bolango Regency. This study uses a correlational descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 278 DM patients, with a sample of 74 respondents selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most of the respondents had suffered from DM for more than 5 years as many as 44 people (59.5%) and experienced indications of sexual dysfunction as many as 69 people (93.2%). The results of the statistical test showed a p-value of 0.151 (p>0.05), which means that there was no significant relationship between the length of time of suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and the incidence of sexual dysfunction. Although theoretically a longer duration of the disease can increase the risk of sexual complications, the results of this study show that the incidence of sexual dysfunction in DM patients is multifactorial and is influenced by various other factors such as age, psychological condition, lifestyle, and blood sugar level control. Therefore, a comprehensive approach is needed in the prevention and treatment of sexual dysfunction in Diabetes Mellitus patients.

Abstract

This research stems from a land dispute in the Bukit Pasir area, Tanjung Baru Village, East Baturaja Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The conflict arose due to unclear land ownership, overlapping land claims, weak land administration, and changes in land use following the termination of the partnership between the land-owning community and the company. This study utilises the theory of Agrarian Conflict from the book Towards Justice: 70 Years of Gunawan Wiradi by Endang Suhendar (2002) and the theory of Conflict Management by Siti Nurjana Batjo (2023). A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants comprised village officials, sub-district authorities, community leaders, and landowners. According to the research findings, the lack of clarity regarding land legality and conflicting interests among the parties were factors influencing the conflict. Resolution efforts have been undertaken through mediation and communication, but the results have not been ideal due to administrative constraints and issues with the legality of land documents.

Abstract

This study examines ritual communication in the fulfillment of promises (vows) at the tomb of Puyang Serunting, Pelangkenidai Village, with a focus on: the process of implementing ritual communication and the form of ritual communication that appears during the fulfillment of vows. The research uses a qualitative ethnographic approach; Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with key informants (traditional leaders, grave holders, and pilgrims), and field documentation. The results of the study showed that the process of implementing ritual communication included the preparation stage (intention and formulation of promises), ritual implementation (prayer reading, joint procession, and other symbolic actions), and socio-religious follow-up (reporting of promise fulfillment and community recognition). The process is colored by the negotiation of roles between ritual actors, customary norms, and local religious interpretations that determine the sequence of actions and the legitimacy of the ritual. The forms of ritual communication found included verbal communication (pronunciation of vows, prayers, and narratives of gratitude), nonverbal communication (body gestures, ritual clothing, and physical procedures at the tomb), and collective communication (procession rituals, joint prayer readings, and social affirmation ceremonies). This communication serves to represent individual intentions, build common meaning, and reproduce the social structure and religious values in Pelangkenidai Village. These findings enrich the understanding of local ritual dynamics and provide a basis for recommendations for the preservation of cultural practices.
