Abstract

Domestic Violence (KDRT) is a conscious act that occurs within the family sphere and causes both physical and psychological suffering to its victims, who are predominantly women. One of the common factors contributing to such acts is the misinterpretation of certain Islamic teachings, which are often misunderstood and misused. In reality, a thorough examination shows that domestic violence is an act that clearly violates the principles of Islamic law, as Islam is a religion grounded in egalitarian values, justice, and public welfare, upholding human dignity—including the elevation of womens status and honor. In this regard, a serious and accurate understanding of Islamic legal interpretations related to family relationships is necessary as an assertive stance and a preventive effort against the normalization of wives submissiveness in the face of abuse. This requires a comprehensive study and understanding based on both the Quran and Hadith as foundational references for developing a more representative and forward-looking paradigm.

Abstract

Employee performance refers to the extent to which employees achieve work outcomes in accordance with predetermined job standards. Performance encompasses not only work results but also behaviors, attitudes, and mental readiness, reflecting a commitment to continuous improvement in work quality. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of health workers’ performance at the Bulili Community Health Center, Palu City, in 2024. This study employed a quantitative approach with an analytical survey design. The study population consisted of all employees at the Bulili Community Health Center, with a total sample of 80 respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measuring variables including length of service, attitude, motivation, rewards, leadership, and work performance. Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square statistical test with a significance level of ? ? 0.05, followed by multivariate analysis to identify the most influential determinant. The results indicated significant relationships between length of service and work performance (p = 0.001), attitude and work performance (p = 0.000), motivation and work performance (p = 0.000), rewards and work performance (p = 0.000), and leadership and work performance (p = 0.000). Among the five variables, leadership emerged as the most influential determinant of work performance (B = 1.795; Sig = 0.024). In conclusion, length of service, attitude, motivation, rewards, and leadership are significantly associated with the performance of health workers. Therefore, targeted efforts—particularly in strengthening leadership practices—are essential to enhance employee performance and ensure the delivery of high-quality health services.

Abstract

Inflation is a major challenge in maintaining macroeconomic stability, including from an Islamic economic perspective that emphasizes justice and welfare. This study analyzes the effectiveness of the money supply (M2) and the BI Rate on inflation in Indonesia (2015–2024) using a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression. Time series data is taken from Bank Indonesia and analyzed using t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. The results show that M2 has a significant negative effect on inflation, indicating that monetary expansion directed at the real sector can stabilize prices. Conversely, the BI Rate has a significant positive effect, indicating the ineffectiveness of conventional interest rates in controlling inflation and the potential to trigger cost-push inflation. These findings strengthen criticism of usury-based instruments and encourage the need to develop sharia-compliant monetary policies oriented towards the productive sector. The implication is that monetary authorities need to reformulate policy instruments that align with Islamic principles, such as profit-sharing instruments, to achieve equitable price stability. This study contributes to the Islamic economics literature by highlighting the dilemma of the dual banking system and the urgency of monetary policy transformation. The limitations of this research lie in the limited number of variables, so further research is recommended to include other factors such as exchange rates and inflation expectations.

Abstract

The Land and Building Tax (PBB) is one of the key sources of revenue for local governments, including Langkat Regency. However, the realization of PBB-P2 revenue in this region has not been optimal due to the low level of taxpayer compliance. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing non-compliance in PBB payments and to identify the social, economic, and administrative aspects contributing to the low regional tax revenue. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that taxpayer non-compliance is influenced by internal factors such as low awareness and understanding of tax obligations; external factors such as limited socialization, inadequate quality of tax administration services, and insufficient payment facilities; as well as structural factors, including inaccurate tax object data and weak enforcement of sanctions. The most dominant factors are the low awareness of taxpayers and the limited socialization efforts by the local government. These findings highlight the need for strategies to improve tax literacy, enhance administrative services, optimize socialization efforts, and enforce sanctions more consistently to increase PBB payment compliance in Langkat Regency.

Abstract

Motor Vehicle Tax (MVT) is one of the sources of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) that plays an important role in financing regional development. Medan City, as the center of economic activity in North Sumatra Province, has a high number of motor vehicles, resulting in considerable potential for MVT revenue. However, in practice, there are still problems in the form of tax arrears and suboptimal taxpayer compliance. This study aims to analyze the realization of motor vehicle tax revenue, the factors influencing taxpayer compliance, and the government’s efforts to improve motor vehicle tax compliance in Medan City. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation at the Medan City SAMSAT Office and from motor vehicle taxpayers. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the realization of motor vehicle tax revenue at the Medan City SAMSAT has met and even exceeded the predetermined targets; however, its level of effectiveness is still categorized as moderately effective. Factors affecting taxpayer compliance include public awareness, economic conditions, transfer of vehicle ownership without name transfer, service quality, and lack of socialization. The government has implemented various measures, such as tax amnesty programs, e-Samsat digital service innovations, mobile Samsat services, public socialization, and law enforcement, to improve motor vehicle tax compliance.
