Abstract

Sibling rivalry is a competition or rivalry between siblings that arises as a result of the reactions shown by those around them, including parents. One of the factors that influence this phenomenon is the ineffective interpersonal communication of parents. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental interpersonal communication and sibling rivalry in early childhood at the Kabila Health Center. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design using a cross sectional approach and involved 106 respondents who were selected through a total sampling technique. The research instrument was in the form of an interpersonal communication questionnaire that referred to the Interpersonal Communication Inventory (ICI) and the sibling rivalry questionnaire. The results of the study using the Spearman Rank test showed a p-value = 0.023 (< 0.05), which indicates that there is a significant relationship between parental interpersonal communication and sibling rivalry in early childhood. In conclusion, the higher the ineffective communication in parents, the greater the incidence rate of sibling rivalry. It is recommended for parents to further improve the quality of effective communication to minimize the occurrence of competition between siblings.

Abstract

Leukorrhea (vaginal discharge) is a reproductive health problem that is often experienced by adolescent girls. The incidence of leukorrhea can be influenced by vaginal hygiene behavior and stress levels. Improper vaginal hygiene behavior and stress can lead to imbalances in the normal flora of the vagina and hormonal changes that trigger the occurrence of leukorrhea. This study analyzes the relationship between vaginal hygiene behavior and stress levels with the incidence of leukorrhea in adolescent girls at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Gorontalo City. It was conducted with a cross-sectional observational analytical design of 275 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 884 adolescent girls. Primary data were collected via validated questionnaires (Cronbach's alpha >0.6 for vaginal hygiene and leukorrhea, DASS-42 for stress), analyzed univariate (frequency) and bivariate (Spearman rank test, ?=0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents were 16 years old (37.8%), class X (35.6%), adequate vaginal hygiene behavior (76.4%), moderate stress (62.5%), and normal leukorrhea (76%). There was a significant relationship: vaginal hygiene behavior with leukorrhea (r=-0.155, p=0.010, weak negative), and stress level with leukorrhea (r=0.517, p=0.000, moderate positive). Conclusion: Good hygiene behaviors lower the risk of leukorrhea, while high stress increases it; Reproductive Health Education Advice in Schools for Prevention

Abstract

loods are the most frequent hydrometeorological disasters in Indonesia and have a wide impact on health, environment, and educational activities. This study aims to determine the influence of flood education in the school environment on the awareness of SMPN 34 Medan students. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a one group pre-test post-test design. The research subjects were 31 students in grade IX. Data collection was carried out using knowledge questionnaires before and after the provision of flood education. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' knowledge after being given flood education, including understanding of the causes of flooding increased from 77.4% to 96.8%, understanding of the role of waste in drainage blockages increased from 71.0% to 93.5%, and understanding of preparedness measures before and during floods increased from 74.2% to 90.3%. In addition, students' understanding of the impact of floods on health has also increased from 67.7% to 87.1%. Based on the results of the statistical test using a paired t-test, a p-value of < 0.05 was obtained, which shows that there is a significant influence on increasing students' knowledge and awareness in flood disaster mitigation efforts. This counseling has proven to be effective in improving students' disaster literacy. Therefore, it is recommended that flood education activities be carried out in a sustainable and integrated manner in school activities to maintain and increase student preparedness for flood disaster risks.

Abstract

HbA1c is the result of glycemic control of DM patients over the last 2–3 months, so it is more accurate than just using a momentary blood glucose test. Poor HbA1c control has a significant impact on a variety of complications, including impaired sexual function. Sexual dysfunction in diabetic patients is not only influenced by physiological factors, but also by psychosocial factors such as depression, anxiety, and sexual self-perception disorders (sexual self-concept. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between HbA1c levels and sexual function disorders in patients with diabetes mellitus in the internal room of Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo City. The design of this study uses quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The study population amounted to 74 DM patients with a sample of 42 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instruments in this study are questionnaires (IIEF) for men and (FSFI) for women. The statistical test used was the chi square test with the result of a p-value = 0.006 (< 0.05) where there was a relationship between HbA1c levels and impaired sexual function in patients with diabetes mellitus. Therefore, it is hoped that health care facilities need to integrate screening for sexual dysfunction disorders in the education program for DM patients

Abstract

The development of competency-based assessment instruments in Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) is an essential effort to improve the quality of comprehensive and meaningful learning evaluation. Competency-based assessment emphasizes not only cognitive aspects but also affective and psychomotor domains, which are fundamental characteristics of PAI learning. This study aims to describe the concept, process, and implementation of developing competency-based assessment instruments in the PAI subject. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of curriculum documents, relevant literature, and assessment practices in schools. The findings indicate that competency-based assessment instruments in PAI should be designed based on core competencies and basic competencies, supported by clear and measurable indicators, and implemented using various authentic assessment techniques such as observation of religious attitudes, assessment of worship practices, project-based assignments, portfolios, and written tests. Systematically and integratively developed instruments are able to provide a more comprehensive picture of students' competency achievement, particularly in terms of knowledge, religious attitudes, and skills in practicing Islamic values. Therefore, competency-based assessment instruments are expected to support the achievement of PAI learning objectives optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Bissu in the Maggiri ceremony in the Bugis community in Segeri District. There were three themes of discussion, namely: First, the background of the emergence of the Bissu community in Segeri District, second, the urgency of the maggiri ceremony for the Segeri community, third, the values contained in the maggiri ritual ceremony. This research is a literature study by taking a historical and sociological approach to uncover the role of the Bissu sentar in the maggir event in Segeri. The study examines the ritual function, communication structure, and social dynamics surrounding Maggiri practice. The findings show that Bissu acts as a mediator between humans and the ancestral world, the leader of purification rites, a symbolic determinant of the time of execution, and the custodian of spiritual values and the sustainability of tradition. This role is manifested through a series of sacred acts such as mantras, Maggiri dances, and the purification procession of heirlooms (sere), which strengthen social cohesion and Bugis cultural identity. However, the study also found a decline in the number of Bissu and a change in function due to the process of modernization, Islamization, and economic pressure—which had an impact on the reduction of sacred authority and the transformation of ritual practices towards cultural adaptation and tourism. The research emphasizes the importance of preservation efforts that are sensitive to local values, including documentation support, cultural education, and participatory policies involving the Bissu community to keep Maggiri traditions meaningful for future generations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and human resource quality on employee performance at the Class III Kolonodale Port Operations Unit (UPP). Employee performance is key to an organization's success in providing optimal public services. Two important factors analyzed in this study are leadership as a guide and motivator, and human resource quality, which encompasses skills, knowledge, and work attitudes. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with data collection using a questionnaire. The population in this study was all 40 employees of the Class III Kolonodale UPP Office, who also served as a sample (census). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results show that simultaneously, leadership and human resource quality significantly influence employee performance. Partially, each variable of leadership and human resource quality also has a significant influence on employee performance. These findings indicate the importance of fair, communicative, and supportive leadership, as well as improving human resource quality through training and competency development, in enhancing employee performance.

Abstract

Law enforcement is fundamentally the process of transforming legal norms into functional guidelines for conduct within both societal and state frameworks. Its primary objective is to uphold justice and public order by engaging all legal subjects to ensure strict compliance with established regulations. According to Soerjono Soekanto, the essence of law enforcement lies in the harmonization of values articulated through stable principles, which are then manifested in decisive actions. This process serves as the final stage of value interpretation, aimed at establishing, nurturing, and safeguarding communal harmony. Consequently, law enforcement can be understood as the tangible realization of the law itself, ensuring its effectiveness in the pursuit of genuine justice. In the realm of criminal law enforcement, seizure serves as a legitimate coercive measure intended for evidentiary purposes or the recovery of state losses. Nevertheless, the boundary between legal enforcement and the infringement of property rights often becomes ambiguous when investigators confiscate assets that lack a direct nexus to the alleged offense (non-relevant assets). This phenomenon has sparked intense debate from a Human Rights perspective, particularly concerning the constitutional safeguards for private property rights.
