Abstract

The Community Service Activity (PKM) held at the Algaf Building, Politeknik Piksi Input Serang, was an initiative designed to motivate and enlighten high school graduates from SMA/SMK/MA/equivalent about the importance of higher education, especially in vocational fields. Attended by 225 participants, including students and teachers from various regions of Serang, as well as lecturers and educational staff from Politeknik Piksi Input Serang, the event offered a series of presentations, lectures, group discussions, and in-depth Q&A sessions. The goal was to broaden participants' perspectives on the opportunities and career prospects achievable through vocational education. Additionally, a campus tour provided a tangible overview of the learning environment and available facilities, stimulating participants' interest in pursuing further education. While the event was successful in delivering information and motivation, it fell short in allocating sufficient time for direct interaction, necessitating future adjustments. Suggestions for improvement include extending the time for discussion sessions and utilizing information technology to maximize participant engagement and satisfaction.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education stands as a cornerstone in shaping the competitive economic landscape of any nation. This study delved into assessing the interest of STIE Ciputra Makassar students in entrepreneurship and gauging their awareness of entrepreneurship education. Utilizing a survey method, the research encompassed the entire student body of STIE Ciputra Makassar. The survey, distributed among 107 students with an average age range of 18-19 years, revealed that nearly 80% harbored aspirations to venture into entrepreneurship. The findings highlighted two pivotal factors influencing entrepreneurial intentions: the affective component (C) and the entrepreneurial environment (E). Conversely, the cognitive component (B) and the behavioral component (A) were identified as factors devoid of significant impact on entrepreneurial intentions. This study underscores the critical role of affective factors, such as passion and drive, alongside the nurturing entrepreneurial ecosystem, in fostering entrepreneurial intentions among students. The high percentage of students aspiring to be entrepreneurs indicates a palpable interest in entrepreneurship within the student community of STIE Ciputra Makassar. Furthermore, the results underscore the importance of incorporating affective and environmental factors into entrepreneurship education curricula to cultivate and enhance students' entrepreneurial aspirations. By addressing these influential factors, educational institutions can better equip students with the necessary skills, mindset, and resources to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into the entrepreneurial landscape among STIE Ciputra Makassar students, emphasizing the need for tailored educational approaches that harness and amplify students' inherent entrepreneurial drive while fostering a conducive entrepreneurial environment.

Abstract

Papaya is a seasonal fruit that is rich in water content and has a relatively short shelf life. Nowadays, people's interest in consuming fruit directly after it is ripe is relatively low because some of them don't like fruit. For this reason, it is necessary to innovate fruit-based products, as an effort to overcome the problem of lack of fruit consumption. This article discusses "PAYA BITES", an entrepreneurial venture that presents papaya crackers as an innovative snack product made from papaya with a variety of contemporary flavors. In this activity, the method used was training (socialization) aimed at 41 members of the Islamic Physics Study Forum (FKIF) at Semarang State University. This activity aims to be a form of education and training for FKIF UNNES members in processing papaya fruit into papaya crackers and has the potential to be marketed to the general public. The result of this training is to provide knowledge and convenience for FKIF UNNES members in processing papaya fruit into papaya crackers which have so far been underutilized so that they become a more valuable commodity

Abstract

This research discusses the potential for expansion of the "Salsabila" as an UMKM actor into a modern cafe during the post-pandemic era. This research uses quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and quantitative descriptive analysis data processing which will be formulated into numbers. The research results show that the expansion shows positive potential based on financial and market aspects. The decline in F&B growth rate after the pandemic is considered not to affect the potential of the F&B industry. This is indicated by the annual increase in the real income of the creative industry in 2017-2021. Apart from that, the payback period, IRR and NPV of this expansion show a positive value or can be said to be feasible in terms of investment value analysis.

Abstract

Indonesia's large population is one of the marketing attractions of the financial market including Islamic finance.  According to the 2022 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK), survey data indicates a noticeable rise in sharia financial literacy between 2019 and 2022. Nevertheless, more enhancements can be achieved by implementing outreach programs, counseling services, or training initiatives for the community, including business stakeholders. Consequently, the implementation team commenced sharing operations with the community by conducting outreach programs to disseminate information and understanding about sharia financial literacy to business actors that are members of the Rufata MSMEs in Jakarta. The outreach method was employed to conduct this action on December 9, 2023. The session proceeded successfully and seamlessly, with the participants displaying enthusiasm and active engagement in the conversation. Specifically, the findings of this study demonstrate that the participants, acting as business entities, have incorporated sharia finance into their financial practices by allocating a portion of their earnings towards zakat, infaq, and alms. In addition, the members have also established the segregation of corporate finances from household finances. The participants have moreover formulated uncomplicated financial strategies and allocated business revenue for future investments. Furthermore, the participants have expressed that they have acquired business funding sources without engaging in usury, and have diligently maintained records of their business financial reports. This exercise aims to enhance participants' proficiency in implementing sharia finance in business, hence strengthening these features.
