Abstract

Quality control is something that needs to be done by the company in order to minimize and prevent the smallest possible damage to the product. This research was conducted with the aim of controlling and improving the quality of PT. KTP, especially in children's clothing products, uses the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and the SPC (Statistical Process Control) method to determine the factors causing product damage. From the results of the analysis performed using the control chart, it is known that it has a Control Limit (CL) of 0.0015 with an upper control limit of 0.0154 and a lower control limit of -0.0124. Based on these results, it is known that there is no data that exceeds the control limit or it can be said that the quality control in the company is still within the control limit. It is known that based on the Pareto diagram, the highest percentage of defective products is loose stitches by 48%, followed by cracked screen printing defects of 39%, and the last is torn defective products by 13%. Based on production data obtained from PT. KTP is known that the total number of production from September 2021 to August 2022 is 373,351 pcs with the number of defective products of 548 pcs. The DPMO (Defect Per Million Opportunity) value obtained on average is 1451.43 with a sigma value of 4.55. This shows that the level of sigma at PT. The ID card has a good sigma level which is the average USA industry standard but still needs further improvement.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) such as meatball and other food traders are one of the small businesses currently experiencing a decline in income due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the barriers to food peddlers, such as using inappropriate carts and the limited mobility of food selling, have become an obstacle to increasing income after the post-pandemic period. This community service activity aims to recover and increase the revenue of food peddlers by expanding selling mobility to reach potential buyers directly. To achieve this goal, the activities are carried out by designing and manufacturing by combined food peddler cart with a bicycle driven by an electric motor. In this way, it can impact increasing energy efficiency and operational costs so that sales turnover can increase. The method of implementing this activity program is through direct field observations to see the selling activities of food peddlers, followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to obtain input regarding the constraints and expectations desired from these traders. The next step is to carry out the design and manufacture of electric bicycle carts. This activity was followed by business and financial management training using the Buku Warung application and registration for Gofood partners. The results of electric bicycle cart use by food peddlers, followed by an application of Buku Warung and Gofood services by food peddlers, showed an increase in income of around 50-60%.

Abstract

One of the world's most agricultural products is coffee. Apart from being the largest coffee producer in the world, Indonesia also offers a variety of coffee thanks to its soil fertility. Considering the problems above, this activity aims to redesign Srikandi's coffee from Carangsari village through graphic design. One of the Balinese Robusta coffee producers owned by Mrs. Ni Ketut Wakul who has been operating in Carangsari Village since 1990. In implementing this community service, the design thinking method is used in five steps, namely: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. The design process, according to the design thinking method is considered very good in identity development and package redesign because in it brand owners can participate in project development so that the designs developed not only have a fair value but also have a fair value. . emotional connection with the trademark owner. This activity has good consequences for brand owners, where brand owners can add value to their products in the future with a new identity and packaging.

Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in the hospitality industry context answers problems related to service quality in the hospitality industry. It is experienced by IBIS Style Hotel – Gajah Mada as part (branch) of the largest hotel franchise chain in Indonesia. IBIS Style Hotel – Gajah Mada feels that the work team must improve their English skills, especially when carrying out daily tasks and routines. It underlies the implementation of Community Services (ABDIMAS), which involves Bunda Mulia University as the executor and IBIS Style as a partner. Realizing these problems, programmed (incidental) ABDIMAS activities were carried out, which were described in three stages. First, the initiation or understanding of problems and constraints faced by partners. Second, the execution or implementation of activities carried out to answer Partner problems which in this case is carried out through enrichment programs in 4 major themes developed in 12 meetings. Third, the implementation that focuses on the dissemination of academic work produced as a manifestation of the principle of transparency. Activities are measured quantitatively with four measurement components (educational, objective, accountable, and transparent). Analysis of the four measuring components shows that implementing programmed (incidental) activities is carried out well regarding impact, form, and benefits for all participants.

Abstract

Ergonomics risk factors are the leading cause of musculoskeletal disorders experienced by workers. The results of a walkthrough survey that the authors conducted to see the processes carried out by rice farmers, starting from the nursery to the harvesting process, found that spraying had the highest ergonomic risk. The spraying activity involves lifting and carrying a reasonably heavy sprayer with a minimum capacity of 13 litres. The body must bend > 20⁰ to compensate for the burden on the back. This spraying activity is also accompanied by repetitive movements of the left arm when pumping the sprayer lever, an awkward position of the left arm raised >45⁰, and a static position of the right hand holding the nozzle stick to be directed to the field area. The results of this observation follow the author's findings when conducting health checks on farmer groups in Rorotan Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, who found that almost all farmers had musculoskeletal complaints, especially after spraying activities. This is the basis that it is necessary to intervene in this process to reduce musculoskeletal complaints experienced by farmers. The intervention was carried out by providing a modified electric sprayer with a polyurethane (PU) hose with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 40 meters which aims to reduce lifting and carrying activities, repetitive movements, and awkward positions. To see the program's success, an assessment was carried out before and after the intervention, including the assessment of the body discomfort map, the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for pain and comfort, and the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment). The results of assessing farmers' subjective complaints using the body map discomfort questionnaire and the previous VAS decreased from 6.83 to 2.93, while the VAS value for comfort increased from 2.8 to 7.4. An objective assessment using REBA also found a decrease in the score from 10 to 3. To complement the program, education is also carried out to stretch every 2 hours of work and education on using proper and appropriate tools.

Abstract

Individual entrepreneurial characteristics, especially as seen from generation to generation, have distinct differences. For example, the younger generation has entrepreneurial characteristics such as wanting to succeed quickly, focusing on instant processes, and easily "following along" with existing trends. This is the primary concern of the implementing team, and it necessitates additional knowledge in developing entrepreneurial characteristics. This training was provided to 20 partner participants from the Amanah Cordova Entrepreneurship School in Pondok Jati Village, South Tangerang. This activity took place on December 11, 2022 and was carried out through face-to-face discussions. This activity's outcomes focused on three key areas: the quality of the material provided, the quality of the activity process, and the quality of the resource persons. According to the indicators of the quality of the material provided, the participants thought the material was good enough to be used later in entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the participants felt that the activity was going well overall, based on the quality of the activity process indicators, and that it was able to provide them with additional knowledge about the characteristics of entrepreneurship. The good manner and attitude of the resource persons in conveying the material was an important point that was highly rated by all participants in terms of the quality of the resource persons. Characteristic formation and improvement are dynamic, mirroring the dynamics of business competition. As a result, this activity can be performed on a regular and continuous basis.

Abstract

Until today, the Indonesian people have had little involvement in the stock market. The main source of the problem is a lack of capital market literacy, which must be addressed by the Indonesia Stock Exchange as a regulator as well as other parties such as academia. Investments in capital market instruments can undoubtedly benefit the community, especially MSMEs players who can distribute some of the revenue generated by the firms they run and then use the returns on these investments for business expansion. Based on these conditions, our service program seeks to improve MSMEs' performance through Sharia-compliant stock investment instruction and mentorship programs. The Community Service Method (PKM) incorporates the Deming Cycle concept, namely plan; do; check; and act, as well as the capital market education model developed by the PKM team. PKM partners are 33 MSME students from Bandung's various educational universities. The PKM results show a significant positive increase in the level of literacy and understanding of Islamic stock investment practices, as evidenced by the results of the different tests where the t-value is greater than the t-table, namely 20.375 > 2.0345, implying that the PKM program was effective. This boost in competence is likely to assist MSME students earn more money to help their businesses grow. This PKM tool also generates capital market investment modules that novice investors can simply understand.

Abstract

MSME actors and employees at work often feel stressed either because of the work environment or the impact of problems brought from outside the work environment. Even more so when it is associated with the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This can further make employees anxious to continue working. Business conditions in this case also become a determining factor. In addition, internal and external problems experienced by employees can also be an additional factor in forming anxiety to continue working which in the long run can create stress at a certain level. These things were used as the background for the initial situation analysis as a detector of partner problems, namely employees working at Azalea's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Depok. The implementing team then determined the method of Community Service activities to be carried out, namely counseling. This PkM activity was held on March 8-9, 2023, face to face on the spot. During the material bidding process, activities went well and smoothly. Based on the results of the feedback obtained from the 32 participants who took part, the participants felt that this PkM activity provided additional knowledge for the participants, especially regarding stress management. In addition, the participants also felt that the topics raised and presented to the participants matched the participants' needs in recognizing stress to managing stress in the workplace. The participants also felt that the activities provided were sufficient in terms of implementation time. Furthermore, the participants hoped that other activities could be carried out in the future.

Abstract

Accounting is a precise field of science, meaning it only provides a small tolerance for error. Therefore, a thorough and detailed learning pattern is needed for Accounting teaching staff. To achieve this, it is necessary to grow the role of emotional intelligence of accounting educators in order to further motivate students to continue studying complex accounting knowledge. In addition, students are also expected to continue to adapt and be willing to learn to develop themselves, have strong competitiveness, as well as be able to think logically and critically. Lastly, they are also expected to keep abreast of technological developments and the digital world in order to be able to apply them in the field of accounting (Accounting as a STEM – Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Subject). From the calculation of the correlation coefficient between the survey results for the level of emotional intelligence of educators and the results of observations of all students through the average value of the assignments obtained; it is revealed that there is a relationship rate of 54.9%. Through the acquisition of these results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the emotional abilities of UBM teaching staff in reading situations during the teaching and learning process with the needs of the students so that the results (output in the form of values) obtained can be more optimal.

Abstract

The rapid development of communication technology allows the communication community to get and do two things at once. On the one hand, the communication community can easily get the information they need, on the other hand the communication community is now productively creating various information content needed by the community. This seminar is intended to make young people aware,  that there is an opportunity for them to democratically convey news to others in the concept of citizen journalism. This seminar was attended by 89 participants from SMA Budi Mulia. The theme of the seminar was citizen journalism as an expression of the democratic attitude of  people. Citizen journalism is a form of community-based journalistic activity, because it has basic characteristics, such as: participatory, community-based, fact-based information, being an alternative media, socially oriented non-profit, and driven by internet-based social media. On the one hand, the characters can provide various alternative sources of information for the audience, but on the other hand, these characters provide a wide space for public duping, hoaxes, and hate speech. In order to balance the very strong character of information based on freedom, it is necessary to apply various ethical principles in collecting and sharing news in citizen journalism. The ethical principles include: accurate, balanced, fair, complete, objective and clear. By upholding ethical principles, citizen journalism is not only considered an alternative media for information, but also the main media in the process of educating the public. The media educates the public in order to uphold its dignity as a reliable source of information.
