Abstract

This research aims to map the advantages of Santa Maria Monica Junior High School, East Bekasi, in order to promote the school using SWOT analysis. Mapping of advantages is used as a tool to promote schools in an era of increasingly fierce competition. Each educational institution must be able to offer something unique, which other educational institutions do not have. Santa Maria Monica Junior High School experienced something similar. The decline in the number of students registering is starting to be felt. This research tries to see what problems are causing the decline, even though this educational institution has many things that can be maximized to attract the interest of parents and students in choosing Santa Maria Monica Junior High School as the right place to study. By using a qualitative SWOT analysis method which focuses on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to be faced, this research found that there are many things that Santa Maria Monica Junior High School can maximize to exist amidst the existing competition. It's just that promotion that is not optimal means that the public does not know what internal qualities the institution has so that parents' decisions to send their children to this education can be justified. Based on the strengths found and opportunities that can be exploited, this research also recommends several types of promotions that Santa Maria Monica Middle School can carry out to face existing competition, including: easily accessible location, comfortable school environment, adequate educational facilities, affordable education costs, qualifications of educational staff that meet standards, and recognition of excellence from the government. Existing internal advantages need to be promoted massively. This research recommends forms of promotion, apart from those currently carried out such as word of mouth (WOM) and relying on the school's status as a Catholic school, it is time to promote through social media (Facebook and Instagram) and hold educational exhibition events in surrounding elementary schools.

Abstract

Green entrepreneurship serves as a vital link between environmental sustainability and economic profitability, providing innovative solutions to global issues like climate change and resource scarcity. This research investigates the dynamics of green ventures, emphasizing their capacity to convert environmental challenges into profitable opportunities. Utilizing the SALSA framework, a systematic literature review was conducted across prominent databases, identifying 120 relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025 on eco-innovation, financial performance, market trends, and regulatory impacts. The findings indicate that eco-innovation is a significant driver of success, with green entrepreneurs leveraging sustainable technologies, circular economy principles, and collaborative networks to address environmental issues while gaining a competitive edge. Contrary to the belief that sustainability-focused businesses are inherently unprofitable, the study demonstrates that green ventures often achieve financial success through long-term cost savings, premium pricing for eco-friendly products, and alignment with increasing consumer demand for sustainability. Regulatory frameworks, including subsidies, tax incentives, and environmental certifications, also play a crucial role in supporting green ventures by encouraging innovation and enabling market growth. These insights highlight the potential of green entrepreneurship as a viable approach to achieving both environmental and economic objectives. The study addresses a critical gap in the literature by integrating environmental and financial perspectives, offering actionable recommendations for policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to advance sustainable business practices and foster economic growth.

Abstract

Inclusive education has a very important role in increasing parental awareness of the importance of higher education and digital entrepreneurship, especially for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This topic was chosen because of the low understanding of some parents who still see education only as a means of getting a job, not as a long-term investment that can improve the quality of life. Therefore, this community service program was implemented at Harapan Sejati Vocational School with the aim of educating parents about the importance of inclusive education and digital skills for their children's future. This program is implemented through various activities, such as interactive seminars, group discussions, and involving parents in digital entrepreneurship projects run by students. In this way, parents can gain insight into how inclusive education can support children's development, as well as how digital and entrepreneurial skills are very relevant in this modern era. Survey results conducted after the program showed that more than 95% of parents gained a new understanding of the value of inclusive education and the importance of digital skills. Apart from that, this program also introduces entrepreneurship as a relevant career alternative in the ever-growing digital world. Overall, this program proves that inclusive education involving parents plays an important role in student development. This also strengthens the role of parents in encouraging digital literacy and an entrepreneurial mindset, creating a young generation that is ready to compete and develop in the global era.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training for employees working at the Central Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) (PKM partner) on optimizing Microsoft Office to support office work. This topic is deemed essential for every employee. The employees of Central Jakarta KADIN are aged around 35–50 years, representing Indonesia's Baby Boombers workforce generation, who are relatively less familiar with the use of Microsoft Office. However, they exhibit remarkable enthusiasm to understand and learn Microsoft Office in greater depth. Central Jakarta KADIN serves as a platkuisioner for entrepreneurs to foster professional development, channel aspirations, and advocate for business interests in supporting national development. The PKM activity was conducted face-to-face from September 2 to October 9, 2024, with a total of 40 participants attending all sessions. Participants actively engaged in hands-on practice sessions on using Microsoft Office. The method used was demonstration, where instructors directly showed the steps and ways to use the menus and toolbars in Microsoft Office. Participants rated the presented topic as highly relevant and beneficial, with a umpan balik score of 3.89 out of 4. In the future, the partner hopes for the continuation of similar activities, focusing on more advanced aspects of Microsoft Office or other topics that can further support their work efficiency and productivity.

Abstract

Islamic financial planning is crucial for Muslim households to guarantee financial stability and adherence to Sharia standards. Strategic planning facilitates sound financial decision-making, risk management, and the attainment of financial stability. There is a growing demand for financial planning that adheres to Sharia principles among individuals seeking to align their financial management with Islamic beliefs. This aligns with the considerable amount of community service initiatives on this subject conducted in Indonesia. This include activities conducted by the implementing team comprised of lecturers at a university in Jakarta. This activity was conducted in person in mid-December 2024. The approach employed in executing this activity was supplying materials and facilitating question-and-answer discussions. This activity proceeded seamlessly. The assessment of feedback regarding the activity's outcomes was conducted in two phases: pre-test and post-test. The feedback measurement results indicated a knowledge growth, with an average enhancement of 15.89%. The greatest significant enhancement in understanding was in item 2, namely concerning gharar in Islamic finance, which approached 36%. The subsequent most significant rise (exceeding 24%) was on item 5, specifically concerning the primary foundation for decision-making in sharia investment. The subsequent area of knowledge enhancement, nearly attaining 21%, was to item 10, namely concerning the primary priority in the distribution of sharia family income. Such activities must be conducted periodically. By cultivating a culture of learning, sharing, and mutual support, socialization and knowledge dissemination enable families to effectively implement Sharia principles in their financial planning, resulting in enhanced financial well-being and social responsibility.

Abstract

Community service provides various opportunities for academicians to disseminate knowledge and contribute to the development of society. In August 2024, the UBM Management Program contributed to community service at Kesatuan High School in Bogor, West Java, in a workshop on branding strategy. The growing attention towards developing entrepreneurial capabilities at a young age has motivated educators to incorporate entrepreneurship development programs in schools. Kesatuan High School is one of the high schools that included a creative entrepreneur development program in its 10th-grade curriculum. The community service in this article adopts several research methods, including a literature review and a combined qualitative-quantitative analysis. The lecturer began the workshop by explaining Schumpeter’s entrepreneurship theory as the foundational concept of the role of entrepreneurs. Creative entrepreneurs are essential to be able to solve management problems, combine resources and processes in different manners to build competitive advantage. Summarizing from various sources, students learned that products refer to tangible attributes, while brands refer to the intangible attributes offered by the business. Based on the descriptive analyses, the feedback survey found that the overall score for the workshop was 3.075 out of 4.00, which demonstrated positive feedback from workshop participants. Regardless of the slight variances between the feedback components, the scores indicate that the workshop was delivered optimally and in line with the predetermined objectives. Hence, this community service exemplifies an alternative model for faculty members to share knowledge and contribute to improving the learning experience as well as advancing high school education

Abstract

The integration of digital literacy in secondary education is vital for fostering students' entrepreneurial skills. The Community Service Program (PKM) "Dream Business" at SMK Permata Indah and SMAK Diakonia aimed to enhance digital literacy and entrepreneurship among students and teachers, with a focus on digital marketing. Using a mixed-method approach (quantitative and qualitative), the program evaluated the effectiveness of the training. Results showed an improvement in participants' understanding, with average positive ratings for educational aspects (3.5) and objectives (3.4), though transparency needed improvement (3.2). The program emphasized TikTok as a marketing tool but also highlighted the need for a broader understanding of digital transformation and data analysis. While participants were introduced to digital tools for marketing, the primary focus remained on leveraging social media, particularly TikTok, for product promotion. This approach differed slightly from literature that stresses the importance of critical evaluation of digital content and the creation of educational, not just commercial, content. The activity prioritized practical social media marketing over broader digital business transformation, leaving gaps in critical content evaluation and advanced data analysis skills. Moving forward, similar programs should deepen material on critical content evaluation, digital analysis tools, and the integration of technology in overall business management. This will ensure participants gain not only digital marketing skills but also a comprehensive understanding of how technology can transform all aspects of business. Such an approach will better prepare the younger generation to face innovative and sustainable digital business challenges.
