Abstract

This study discusses the meaning and indicators of mathematical understanding concepts. The research method used is library research. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the ability to understand a concept mathematically is the ability to absorb and understand an idea or mathematic concept and relates one concept to another, and being able to represent it with mathematic form and create mathematic problem-solving algorithms in a precise, accurate and efficiently applied in everyday problems using own language.

Abstract

This study discusses the meaning and indicators of mathematical creative thinking ability. The research method used is library research. Based on the results of the study it was found that the ability to think creatively mathematically is the ability to solve open-ended mathematical events by presenting various new ideas. The indicators for measuring the ability to think creatively mathematically are fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration.

Abstract

In learning, innovation is needed that can attract students' interest in learning mathematics, one of which is by using the Teams Games Tournament method that can improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to conduct a literature review on the use of team game tournaments to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research method chosen in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection used with the review is all articles regarding the use of the Teams Games Tournament method published in the period 2013-2022. The articles used in this study were 15 accredited National journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database. Based on this research, it was found that the use of the Teams Games Tournament method could improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the means that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using instructional media on student learning outcomes in mathematics. Data is collected through related journals for review. The method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Researchers collect accredited national journal articles sourced from the Google Scholar database with the help of the Publish Or Perish application. The articles used in this study were 16 articles from accredited national journals at Sinta 1 to Sinta 4 obtained from Google Scholar and Publish Or Perish. The articles collected are only articles published in the 2018-2022 timeframe. The results of the study indicate that the use of learning media in learning mathematics is very influential in generating interest and motivation in students and has an impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students and the improvement efforts made by teachers to overcome mathematics learning difficulties for third-grade students of SDN 9 Ampenan. This research is qualitative research with the descriptive method and uses the procedure of implementing the diagnosis of learning difficulties. The research subjects were 6 third-grade students who had difficulty learning mathematics and third-grade teachers. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using Interactive Analysis Method. The results showed that students had difficulty learning the subject of arithmetic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The types of mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students are difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts, difficulties in calculations, difficulties in understanding mathematical symbols, and difficulties in working on story problems. Improvement efforts made by classroom teachers are peer tutors, special tutoring, remedial or repairs to students who have grades below the KKM, and communicating and collaborating with parents. To overcome difficulties in learning mathematics that come from within students, it is recommended to create conditionals (reinforcement, rewards, encouragement), while difficulties that come from outside students are carried out by completing facilities and infrastructure in the learning process and using varied methods.

Abstract

Mathematical packaging is an uncomfortable condition such as feeling worried, tense, and so on when facing math problems. This paper aims to describe math anxiety, types of anxiety, factors of math anxiety and efforts to overcome them. The method used in this research is the literature study method. The approach used is a literature study approach with sources derived from articles and papers. From the sources obtained, then the most relevant data is selected. Based on several research sources, it can be seen that anxiety has a negative impact on learning success. The factors that cause mathematics anxiety are factors from within and outside the student's self. Factors from within students such as personality factors (psychological or emotional) and intellectual factors (cognitive). Meanwhile, external factors such as environmental (social) factors. Thus the treatment that can be given is to convince themselves to be able to solve math problems, parents are expected not to stress their children to get good grades in mathematics, and teachers are expected to provide a gradual and clear understanding. Kecemasan matematika adalah kondisi yang tidak nyaman seperti perasaan khawatir, tegang, dan sebagainya ketika menghadapi permasalahan matematikaTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kecemasan matematika, jenis-jenis kecemasan, faktor-faktor kecemasan matematika dan upaya mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi pustaka. Pendekatan yang dipakai adalah pendekatan studi literatur dengan sumber yang berasal dari artikel dan makalah. Dari sumber yang didapatkan, kemudian dipilih data yang paling relevan. Berdasarkan beberapa sumber penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa kecemasan berdampak buruk terhadap keberhasilan belajar.Faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecemasan matematika yaitu faktor dari dalam dan luar diri siswa. Faktor dari dalam diri siswa seperti faktor kepribadian (psikologis atau emosional) dan faktor intelektual (kognitif). Sedangkan faktor dari luar siswa seperti faktor lingkungan (sosial). Dengan demikian penanganan yang dapat diberikan adalah menyakinkan dirinya mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika, orangtua diharapkan tidak menekankan anaknya untuk mendapatkan nilai yang bagus dalam pelajaran matematika, dan guru diharapkan memberikan pemahaman secara bertahap dan jelas.

Abstract

Changes in learning methods from offline (outside the network) or face-to-face and changing to online (in the network) or online have quite a big impact as it requires adaptation efforts. Things like cost which are also not small finally make the emergence of models for Blended Leaning more used. The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions about the implementation of blended learning. This research is a quantitative survey type research. The survey method is a method by collecting data through respondents for research samples using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The data collection technique used was a Likert scale questionnaire because it aims to see student perceptions of Blended Leaninglearning. Students choose one of the available options according to what they experience during Blended Leaninglearning. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that most students prefer direct classroom learning because they can better understand the lessons and can also receive direct guidance from the lecturer. Online learning is felt to be less effective by students because learning is difficult to understand and limited access is used when studying such as students' lack of understanding of IT and also internet networks that do not support online learning. So that the information that is obtained is not complete and the learning process does not go well so that it affects learning outcomes which of course are also less than optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning interest of students with special needs in science subjects at SDIT Yaditama Ar-Rahman. The subjects in this study were IV grade students totaling 3 people. This research method is classroom action research which consists of four aspects, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, that in cycle 1 the science learning process was said to be not good, because students with special needs did not appear to have an interest in participating in learning. In addition, the teacher in using the demonstration learning model has not been fully implemented properly in each meeting. Whereas in cycle 2 the interest in learning of students with special needs was quite visible and had increased. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan minat belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus dalam mata pelajaran IPA di SDIT Yaditama Ar-Rahman. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV berjumlah 3 orang. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari empat aspek, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bahwa pada siklus 1 proses pembelajaran IPA dikatakan belum baik, karena siswa berkebutuhan khusus belum terlihat memiliki minat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran demonstrasi belum sepenuhnya terlaksana dengan baik dalam setiap pertemuan. Sedangkan pada siklus 2 minat belajar siswa berkebutuhan khsus sudah cukup terlihat dan mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

The era of technological disruption not only has an effect on changes in the business cycle, but also has an impact on the world of education. The world of education today also demands the ability to equip students with 21st century skills. These skills are the skills of learners who are able to think critically and solve problems, creatively, and innovatively, communication and collaboration skills. In the industrial era 4.0, universities are required to be able to overcome the turmoil of changes that occur due to digital transformation. Lecturers in the industrial era are required to have qualifications and competencies that can compete and survive in the turmoil of the industrial era 4.0. The purpose of this study was to determine how students perceive the competence of lecturers in the era of industrial disruption 4.0. The research method used in this research is quantitative research method with survey type. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire made through Google Forms. The sample of this study were 53 students of the Kerinci State Islamic Institute who were grouped by gender, namely 37 people (69.8%) were female and 16 people (30.2%) were male. Based on the results of the study, students were of the opinion that lecturers should be expressive and fun in teaching mathematics, lecturers should use online media to increase learning resources, lecturers should care about students and be helpful, lecturers should use language that is easy to understand, lecturers should not be rigid, lecturers should be formal and informal, lecturers should have good IT skills, lecturers in class should intersperse time with humor, lecturers should provide illustrations of theory in real and relevant forms, and ask students to use ICT in the learning process. Some of the obstacles that lecturers may face in implementing lecturer competencies in the era of industrial disruption 4.0 are lack of access and mastery of technology, lack of support from the university, and lack of awareness of the importance of lecturer competencies that are relevant to technological developments. Lecturers may also find it difficult to adapt the material taught to the rapid development of technology. To overcome these obstacles, lecturers need to be given support and training to improve their mastery of technology, as well as encouragement to continue developing their competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to add alternative learning options to trigonometry material at the high school level by applying the problem based learning model. In developing the learning model, this research uses a learning design. Learning development is done by analyzing the needs and analyzing students. Performances objectives and learning outcomes are reviewed in detail and adjusted to the learning objectives that have been set. The results of this study indicate that the learning design by applying the problem based learning model can be one of the recommendations for teachers in implementing trigonometry learning. This is because in the learning process, students are asked to solve problems in the real life, so it can help students develop problem-solving skills in trigonometry.
