Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ngorok Hamlet, Kopang Rembiga Village, Central Lombok Regency understand basic accounting. Although MSMEs have a crucial role in the local economy, many business actors in this area have not implemented accounting records in accordance with existing standards. In this study, a descriptive qualitative method was used by conducting in-depth interviews with five selected business actors. The research findings show that their understanding of basic accounting is still very limited, where most MSME actors do not understand or do not carry out financial records systematically. The factors that cause this include low levels of accounting literacy, non participation in training, and lack of resources. This study recommends that community-based training be held and the use of simple technology as a solution to improve the efficiency of financial management and business continuity through the application of basic accounting in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM).

Abstract

This study aims to describe local plant species used as traditional medicine by communities in North Sumatra. The research method employed in-depth interviews with communities in three locations including Karo, Medan and Simalungun. The research results identified 81 species of local medicinal plants from 39 botanical families, with the Zingiberaceae family dominating (13 species, 16.05%), followed by Asteraceae (7 species, 8.64%), Piperaceae and Fabaceae (5 species each, 6.17%). Ginger (Zingiber officinale) was the most commonly used plant across three different locations. The most utilized plant parts were leaves (48.15%), rhizomes (22.22%), and fruits (13.58%). The primary processing methods were boiling (40.7%) and pounding (22.2%). This study demonstrates that North Sumatran communities possess diverse traditional knowledge in utilizing local medicinal plants that needs to be documented and preserved.

Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a global health issue largely caused by the misuse of antibiotics. Increasing public knowledge about rational antibiotic use is a key step in controlling antimicrobial resistance. This study aimed to determine the effect of educational content on the social media platform TikTok on students’ knowledge about antibiotics at Universitas Islam Indonesia. The research employed a pre-test–post-test design, with a 63-second educational video as the intervention. The study involved 351 students selected through accidental sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant increase in the average knowledge score from 73.25% in the pre-test to 91.16% in the post-test (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that TikTok-based educational content effectively improves students’ understanding of appropriate antibiotic use. Social media can serve as an engaging and accessible platform for health education, especially among young people. Utilizing TikTok as a medium for health promotion is expected to support national efforts in preventing antimicrobial resistance in Indonesia.

Abstract

The present study examines how product and promotion strategies influence consumer demand for beef crackers (kerupuk kulit sapi) in Cakranegara District, Mataram City. Employing a quantitative design with a survey method, data were gathered from 30 vendors chosen through purposive sampling. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to collect responses, and multiple linear regression served as the analytical tool. The analysis reveals that product strategy exerts a significant impact on demand (p = 0.034 < 0.05), whereas promotion strategy shows no significant effect (p = 0.684 > 0.05). When considered together, however, both strategies significantly affect demand (p = 0.043 < 0.05). The determination coefficient (R² = 0.208) indicates that these two variables explain only 20.8% of demand variation, while the remaining 79.2% is attributed to other determinants beyond the scope of this study. The findings suggest that maintaining product quality and introducing innovations are crucial to sustaining consumer interest, while the adoption of digital promotion channels offers considerable opportunities to expand market reach and to align with the objectives of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).

Abstract

This research analyzed the way in which Indonesia’s anti corruption court combines judicial formalism with scientific proof requirements. Employing a normative and comparative research design, we utilized a doctrinal analysis of Criminal Procedure Code and Anti Corruption Law, micro comparisons to the United States, UK, Singapore, and Indonesia including reliability tests; gatekeeping authority; chain of custody; expert independence. It found systemic epistemic deficits: the lack of an autonomous category for scientific evidence, weak to non existent reliability tests, fragmented chain of custody trade practices, judicial aversion to method and error rate scrutiny and an epistemic imbalance privileging prosecution access to experts and raw materials. Comparative mapping produced a hybrid gatekeeping model which integrates ex ante admission screening and ex post weight attribution, firmly based on validity of method, known error rates, transparent methodology, expert accreditation by the courts, court designated expertise appointment and data disclosure sanctions. We can only trust that rule making of the reliability standard, judicial gatekeeping and ensuring defendants’ rights are necessary in order to ensure due process and legal certainty. These structural changes bring evidentiary practice into closer conformity with scientific rationality, thereby mitigating the risks posed by wrongful convictions and enhancing public confidence in corruption adjudication

Abstract

This study provides a conceptual innovation in policies addressing surrogacy practices in Indonesia from the perspective of the right to reproductive health care. This study applies a normative method using both a statutory and conceptual approach. Referring to Health Law 17/2023, Government Regulation 28/2024, and Ministerial Regulation 2/2025, this study finds that the national legal system has prohibited aspects of surrogacy practices to prevent harm to its values. Instead, the law states that a household is a reciprocal legal obligation, the equivalence and wisdom of which are inherent in their duties as husband and wife and cannot be disturbed by any third party. Therefore, the law prohibits and criminalizes any form of cooperation that would damage the image, meaning, and purpose of married life between the parties concerned. Conversely, the law protects women from bodily exploitation and the commodification of the womb, and ensures that the development of medical technology remains within the law and human values. The study concludes that the prohibition of surrogacy is not a medical obstacle, but rather an active right of the state to judges to ensure that health law serves as a basis for justice.
