Abstract

This study examines the application of the Ta?qiq al-Manat methodological framework in determining the essential categories and priority levels of Maqasid al-Syari’ah in premarital health evaluations.  It emphasizes the necessity of applying Maqasid al-Syari’ah in a casuistic manner to modern challenges, highlighting the absence of a systematic framework for its implementation in premarital health examinations.  The study employs a library research method with documented data gathering, utilizing a taxonomy approach and descriptive analysis.  Research indicates that establishing the essential categories of Maqasid al-Syari’ah involves: (1) identifying the al-Manat object, encompassing seven categories of premarital assessments; (2) validating al-Manat via medical expert opinions and the principle of al-Daf‘u ashal min al-raf‘i; and (3) delineating Maqasid al-Syari’ah through rational premises substantiated by empirical results.  Establishing priority levels entails: (1) delineating three priority tiers; (2) corroborating through the viewpoints of potential couples and governmental entities; and (3) evaluating priorities utilizing pertinent instruments linked with the research topic.  The study finds that delineating the categories and priorities of Maqasid al-Syari’ah in a case-specific context necessitates a dynamic Ta?qiq al-Manat framework and a variety of instruments to tackle contemporary difficulties in Islamic law, especially regarding premarital health evaluations.

Abstract

This study examines student management within Islamic educational institutions concerning Generation Z, whose digital proficiency and preference for individualized learning pose challenges to conventional, administration-centric methodologies. This research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach via a systematic literature review to identify critical issues: decreased discipline, reduced spiritual engagement, digital distractions, and unequal access to technology. The results support a comprehensive management framework that integrates Qur’anic principles—ikhlas (sincerity), al-‘adl (justice), amanah (responsibility), syura (consultation), and rahmah (compassion)—with contemporary methodologies including data-driven decision-making, differentiated learning, and ethically oriented digital instruments (AI, LMS, gamification). This comprehensive strategy seeks to cultivate insan kamil—graduates who achieve academic excellence while maintaining moral and social integrity. The paper indicates that globalization and Indonesia's Kurikulum Merdeka present potential for innovation, although they also pose risks of injustice and value dilution in the absence of robust managerial competence and ethical alignment. The research presents a conceptual framework for competitive, value-oriented Islamic education in the digital age.

Abstract

The growing need for sustainable and affordable energy in rural Islamic boarding schools presents both a challenge and an opportunity for innovation. This community service project showed the use of woodchip-fueled biomass stoves as an alternative cooking fuel at Al-‘Urwatul Wutsqa Islamic Boarding School in Aceh Utara. It took place in Cot Seurani Village, Muara Batu Subdistrict. The scarcity and rising cost of LPG as the main cooking fuel were the main issues, limiting cooking options in the boarding school and remote communities. Onsite training and a practical demonstration of a rocket-type biomass stove using available woodchips comprised the activity. The team conducted a simple efficiency test and distributed an illustrated operational manual to support knowledge transfer. Results showed high student interest and positive response because of the stove’s affordability, environmental benefits, and ease of use. This initiative raised awareness of renewable energy options, empowered the local community with practical solutions, and encouraged reduced reliance on fossil fuels (LPG). The program also laid the foundation for future development of energy self-sufficiency in the boarding school atmosphere.

Abstract

One of the techniques in improving the mechanical properties of a welding result is the Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) process. Attempts to improve these properties are the main goal of users so that the construction they build can last a long time from the influence of natural phenomena. This research aims to analyze the mechanical properties of SMAW welded joints on ST37 plate material that undergoes the PWHT process, as well as contribute as a practicum teaching material or case study in learning welding techniques in the technical education environment. In this study, welding was carried out with E7016 electrodes, and then three variations of the PWHT process were carried out, namely at temperatures of 400, 500, and 600°C with a holding time of 30, 60, and 90 minutes, respectively. The joints were tested using a penetrant test and a hardness test. The results showed that PWHT at 600°C with a holding time of 90 minutes produced the highest average hardness value compared to 400°C and 500°C with 30 and 60 minutes. This finding reinforces the understanding that temperature and holding time in the PWHT process significantly affect the hardness value of the weld. Therefore, the results of this study are not only useful in the development of manufacturing technology but also utilized as an applicable learning medium. By knowing the effect of PWHT on the mechanical properties of welded joints, welding instructors can design a more effective practicum in teaching the principles of welding.

Abstract

The brick industry in Bireuen Regency has grown and developed as a home-based business. The average lifespan of these businesses is more than 3 years. The fixed cost burden borne is relatively low where the industrial location area is owned by the company. This shows that the brick business is relatively easy if it want to entry the market, especially in Bireuen. The purpose of this study is to highlight market size and product diversification as important aspects to be reviewed in an effort to develop the brick industry leading to a more profitable business venture in Bireuen Regency. This research was conducted using experimental-based primary data obtained from 199 business units in the Peusangan, Kota Juang, and Jeumpa sub-districts as production center areas. The methods of data and analysis with using the approaches; (i) Total Addressable Market (TAM), (ii) Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and (iii) Share of Market (SOM). Research shows that each brick business controls less than 2 percent of the market share. To expand the market size to the Regency’s Pidie Jaya and Bener Meriah, and even to Aceh Tengah and Pidie Regencies, it is necessary to diversify brick products by offering a variety of sizes and textures and adding additives. Thus, the brick industry has a competitive advantage over other products, such as lightweight bricks or concrete blocks.

Abstract

This article examines the intricate relationship between Islam, politics, and culture in influencing daily life in many regions of Indonesia, under the overarching context of the nation-state. It classifies the relationship between Islam and the state under three paradigms: interplanetary, secular, and symbiotic. These paradigms exhibit variation between provinces, illustrating distinct historical, political, and cultural circumstances. The Indonesian constitution technically enforces Islamic law alone in Aceh, although three principal orientations of Islamic law are present throughout the nation: Islam as a political philosophy, as a moral-ethical framework, and a moderate model that integrates formal implementation with ethical influence beyond state legislation. The research utilizes a qualitative, literature-based approach, integrating information from academic publications, journals, and historical documents. It indicates that differences in daily Islamic practices are influenced by regional histories, colonial legacies, local governance, and socio-political dynamics. These circumstances impede the establishment of a cohesive Islamic identity throughout Indonesia, a predominantly Muslim nation. The research highlights that the connection between Islam and the state in Indonesia is dynamic and adapts to changing political and societal conditions.

Abstract

This research investigates how filter bubbles and echo chambers on Facebook and Instagram shape Indonesia's 2024 presidential election campaign. The research addresses the issue of social media algorithms amplifying selective exposure, which can deepen political polarization and limit voters' access to diverse viewpoints. This research aims to analyze campaign strategies in a digital environment, assess their influence on candidate electability among young voters, and examine the role of algorithms in shaping political information consumption. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs thematic content analysis on campaign posts, public comments, and screenshot data from Facebook profiles, supported by sentiment analysis. The results show that campaign teams strategically leveraged social media algorithms to customize messages, reinforce confirmation bias and amplify ideological divisions. Sentiment analysis of 100 online comments about the free lunch program showed that 39% were negative, 35.4% neutral, and only 25.6% positive, indicating prevalent skepticism. This research concludes that algorithm-based campaign strategies significantly impact messaging and voter perceptions, especially among digitally active youth, highlighting the need for more transparent algorithms and media literacy to support healthier democratic engagement.
