Abstract

Improving the nutritional knowledge of pregnant women is a vital effort to support the health of both mothers and their babies. This study aims to evaluate the use of a digital pocketbook as a nutritional education tool for pregnant women. A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design involved 50 pregnant women divided into two groups: intervention (digital pocketbook) and control (conventional methods), each consisting of 25 participants. Data were collected using questionnaires administered before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge in both groups, with the mean knowledge score in the intervention group increasing from 58.2 to 85.4 (p < 0.05), compared to the control group, which increased from 59.1 to 71.5 (p < 0.05). This study concludes that digital pocketbooks are an effective nutritional education tool for improving pregnant women’s knowledge in the digital era, as they enable flexible, interactive, and repeatable learning. It is recommended that the content of digital pocketbooks be regularly updated to remain relevant to the needs of pregnant women and advancements in nutritional and health sciences.

Abstract

The loss of the inner uterine wall is what causes menstrual bleeding. Pain during the menstrual cycle is often referred to as dysmenorrhea. Hormonal fluctuations during the reproductive cycle can cause dysmenorrhea, or discomfort during the menstrual period. During menstruation, an increase in the hormone prostaglandin causes the muscles of the uterus to tighten, resulting in discomfort. In West Java, dysmenorrhea is quite common (51.86%). Pelvic rocking exercise, a type of pelvic physical exercise designed to strengthen the abdominal muscles and increase blood flow to the uterus, can be used to treat dysmenorrhea. In this study, the effectiveness of pelvic rocking exercise in reducing the severity of dysmenorrhea discomfort in adolescent girls at SMPN 01 Tanjungsari Sumedang was tested. The study employed a quasi-experimental technique using a pretest-posttest design for one group. Forty-five female students who experienced dysmenorrhea were sampled in this study using a total sampling approach. In this study, Wong Baker Paint Rating Scale questionnaire was used as an instrument. Data analysis used Wilcoxon non-parametric statistical test. The findings showed Wilcoxon with a significance level of 0.05 and a p value of 0.000. In this study, the P value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), it can be said that there is an effectiveness of pelvic rocking exercise on reducing dysmenorrhea pain intensity.

Abstract

Every pregnancy has a risk of complications that can threaten the lives of the mother and baby. Risks that can occur in pregnancy include being too young to get pregnant, too old to get pregnant > 35 years, too close or far apart pregnancies and too many children or often known as 4 Too. One effort that can be made to prevent pregnancy complications in pregnant women is to increase the mother's knowledge about early detection of pregnancy complications through education in pregnancy classes. Through education in pregnancy classes, it is hoped that pregnant women can have the ability to detect complications early during pregnancy so that they can reduce maternal and fetal mortality rates. Objective of this study to determine the effect of education in pregnancy classes on the ability to detect early pregnancy complications. This study is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study was 321 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling of 77 people. The results of statistical analysis using Wilcoxon test that had been carried out obtained a p value of 0.000, because the value of 0.000 <0.05, the hypothesis in the study was accepted. Conclusion: There is an influence of education for pregnant women's classes on the ability to detect early pregnancy complications in the Kalasan Health Center Work Area in 2024.

Abstract

Childbirth is an important process for a mother because it is a natural process that expends a lot of energy and undergoes physiological and psychological changes. The optimal productive age for healthy reproduction is between 20 and 35 years. Childbirth can be done in two ways: vaginal delivery, or normal delivery; perabdominal delivery, or sectio caesarea delivery, is an operation that removes the baby through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus. During labor, the uterus must remain intact and the fetus must weigh more than 500 grams. Objective: To Analyze the Effect of Age Factors of Pregnant Women on Types of Methods: This study is a quantitative study with an observational analytical design. The population in this study were mothers in labor. The sample in this study was 26 samples. Samples were taken using the Purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained from medical record data. Bivariate analysis using Chi Square. Results: The results of the Chi Square analysis test showed that there was an effect of the age factor of pregnant women on the type of delivery with a p value = 0.03. Thus, pregnant women in the high-risk age group (<20 and >35 years) have a 2-fold risk of abdominal delivery compared to those of reproductive age (20-35 years). Conclusion: There is an influence of the age factor of pregnant women on the type of delivery at the Josef Tuda Tombatu Clinic.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of growth and development failure in children caused by chronic malnutrition. Poor maternal parenting patterns in feeding will cause child development to be slow compared to good parenting patterns. One effort to improve knowledge and practice of good parenting patterns is through education using e-booklet media. This study aims to analyze the effect of e-booklet education on maternal parenting patterns with stunting incidents in toddlers. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 60 samples taken using purposive sampling techniques according to the research inclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaire instruments and toddler anthropometric measurements. The results of the study showed the characteristics of age (p-value = 0.112), education (p-value = 0.501), occupation (p-value = 0.742), and parenting (p-value = 0.691) where p-value > 0.05 which means there is no significant difference in the incidence of stunting, but the average parenting pattern of mothers of toddlers in the pretest demandigness (37,300) and responsiveness (37,200), while in the posttest demandigness (39,566) and responsiveness (39,350) and the results of statistical analysis obtained parenting patterns demandigness (p-value = 0.010) and responsiveness (p-value = 0.000), this shows a p-value <0.05 which means there is a significant difference before and after providing education through e-booklet media on parenting patterns of mothers of toddlers in providing food.
