IJORER is an international journal (double-blind peer review) that focuses on Recent Educational Research. The journal concerns in Recent Educational Research accepts articles in the field of Education: instruction, learning, teaching, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, and educational developments. IJORER is an internationally recognized journal in the field of education and is published four times a year (in January, April, July & October). Studies may relate to any age level - from infants to adults. IJORER, being an international journal, our editorial advisory board members are from various countries around the world. All manuscripts sent to IJORER will be read and reviewed with a confidential identity (double-blind peer review) by at least 2 peer reviewers who are experts in their fields. Depending on the evaluation reports of the members of the Editorial Advisory Board and peer reviewer, articles are published or not. The authors are responsible for the errors, if any, in their published articles. The articles need to be not published elsewhere previously.

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the percentage of students' misconception on general biology concepts using the Four-Tier Diagnostic Test (FTDT). This research method is descriptive research. The research sample was 100 students from IKIP Budi Utomo, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri, and Universitas PGRI Madiun. The research instrument is the FTDT question. The data collection techniques by distributing FTDT questions via Google Form to students using WhatsApp. The data analysis technique was done by quantitative descriptive. The results showed that 25% of students understood the concept, 39% of students had misconception, 23% of students guessed the answer, and 13% of students lack knowledge. The lowest student misconception on the concept of structure and function at all levels of biological organization is 20% and the highest misconception on the concept of the definition of biology is 65%. While the sequence of the third category of students' highest misconception is 65% misconception, 11% false positive, and 12% false negative. The results of this study are important to provide advice to lecturers when teaching general biology to always provide correct information, valid reading sources, valid learning media, and appropriate learning models so that there are no misconceptions among students.]]>

<![CDATA[Study aimed to see the effectiveness of the hybrid learning materials application with Problem based learning (PBL) model to improve students’ outcome in evaluation course in learning outcomes at the Business Education Study Program, State University of Medan. The study used a quasi-experimental method of the Posttest control group design. Data collection was carried out by conducting tests after class. The sample selected in this study were all students of the Business Education study program in evaluation course in learning outcomes. The results showed that the application of hybrid learning with the PBL model was effective to improve learning outcomes in evaluation course in learning outcomes . The results of this study also found that the independence and creativity of student learning was higher by applying hybrid learning with problem-based learning models compared to the control class. The results of this study contributed to the lecturers' evaluation of learning outcomes in improving the quality of learning, which has been traditional, by applying hybrid learning teaching materials with problem-based learning models, especially during the current Covid 19 pandemic and to answer the demands of learning in the industrial revolution era. 4.0.]]>

<![CDATA[Research aims to produce a storybook containing ecoliteracy education for elementary school students of good quality in terms of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a product. This type of research is Research and Development with the ADDIE model. The instruments used were validation questionnaires, observations, teacher response questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The results of this study indicate that the validation of interactive storybooks for ecoliteracy learning gets an average coefficient of validation from the validator, which is very valid qualifications. The practicality of loading the teacher's response questionnaire gets a percentage of 97%, the results of teacher and student observations get a percentage of 91% and 94%. The effectiveness based on giving pretest and posttest to students amounted to 30 students in grade 1 and 30 students in grade 2 with an average pretest result of 74, while the average posttest was 90.8. The result indicates that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of early grade elementary school students using interactive story books. Based on the validation of the instrument and the recapitulation of the questionnaire filled in by the teacher, it can be stated that the quality of the interactive storybooks developed are very valid, practical and effective for use in learning. This interactive storybook can help early grade elementary school teachers in growing interest in reading related to ecoliteracy learning so that students' awareness of caring for and caring for the surrounding environment can be carried out from an early age.]]>

<![CDATA[The college is one of the create of professional and qualified Human resource.. Universities must develop following the development needs of the business world and the industrial world. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relevance of Mechanical Engineering graduates to the Program Learning Outcome and as material for curriculum evaluation. The subjects of this research were 120 graduates in 2019 and 2020. The technique of collecting data was using a questionnaire through the State University of Surabaya Tracer Study web. The data is then analyzed using quantitative descriptive. As many as 55.83% of alumni are already working, 32.5% are not working, 10% are entrepreneurs, and the rest are continuing their education. The waiting time for graduates to get a first-time job takes an average of 4.49 months. The total relationship between the field of work and the field of education has a very tight, tight and pretty tight relationship of 77.5%. The profile of a mechanical engineering graduate is to become a mechanical engineer. The number of graduates who match the graduate profile is 61.2%. The competence of graduates is still below the competencies needed by the business and industrial. From the data above, we can conclude that graduates from the mechanical engineering study program are relevant to the established Program Learning Outcome.]]>

<![CDATA[Analysis of the quality of the learning process is very important in teaching and learning activities in ensuring and maintaining the quality of learning well. In the teaching and learning process, the quality assurance instrument or learning quality is an instrument or tool that aims to improve quality in the education sector through observations and assessments produced by research on students. The objective of this research is to test the quality of the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) of the State University of Surabaya (Unesa) towards a Legal Entity Higher Education (PTN-BH). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to find out social phenomena from the point of view of students and lecturers. The result of this study is that from the ten statements given to respondents, all shown positive results. it can be concluded that Faculty of Engineering students and lecturers support Unesa to become a Legal Entity State University.]]>

<![CDATA[Study aims to describe and analyze of blended learning implementation in learning activities. The method applied in this research is a literature review that is sourced from the results of previous studies that have been selected from Google Scholars. The steps applied in this study are identifying journals/articles about blended learning, analyzing the definition of blended learning, synthesizing opportunities and activities in implementation of blended learning, analyzing barriers to implementing blended learning, and making conclusions. From the results of the analysis of 30 selected works of literature, the implementation of blended learning can be done by teaching it as a learning model, teaching it by combining it with other learning strategies or models, teaching it with the help of an LMS, and teaching it with the help of social media. Furthermore, the application of blended learning is able to support activities that can train students' 21st century skills. The implementation of blended learning requires careful planning and requires an understanding of student characteristics and the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure. This study can provide an overview of the opportunities to apply blended learning in learning activities.]]>

<![CDATA[The ability that should be possessed by students is not only limited to learning outcomes by receiving knowledge. Critical thinking skills need to be a provision to face the demands of the 21st century. Science is a subject that can not be separated from the critical thinking skills. One of the scientific materials is environmental pollution. Research has been carried out that aims to determine the students' initial critical thinking skills. The subjects used in the study were students of Junior High School Plus Nurul Hikmah. This type of research is descriptive method. The data collection instrument used a test. The results showed that the average critical thinking skillsof students was low category. The achievement of the indicator elementary clarification scored 43% in the medium category, while the indicator the basis for the decision scored 39% in the low category. The achievement of the indicator inference obtained 46% in the medium category. The indicator advances clarification scored 43% in the medium category, while the indicator supposition and integration scored 29% in the low category. In general, category for students critical thinking skills in all indicators are low. In general, criteria for students critical thinking skills in all indicators are low.]]>

<![CDATA[Research was conducted to describe and analyze the implementation of discovery learning model of science learning in Indonesia. This research method uses qualitative methods with using secondary data. The sample in this research is 30 articles published in international and national journals. Based on the analysis of 30 articles on science learning using discovery learning model in Indonesia, it can be seen that the discovery learning model has a positive impact on student learning outcomes, it can improve students' critical thinking skills, students' science process skills, students' scientific literacy, aspects of problem solving skills, and also students' understanding of concepts. there are also several disadvantages of the discovery learning model, there are; it will be optimal if it combine with media or other methods, students will be confused if they do not get the instruction from the teacher, and it require a lot of preparation and learning duration. Based on the literature review of the implementation of the discovery learning model in 2012-2021 that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has a positive impact on science learning.]]>

<![CDATA[Research aims to examine and analyze the role of women in holding school leadership, especially at the Early Childhood Education Programs level. This research method analyzes studies related to women's leadership in Early Childhood Education. This type of research uses in-depth qualitative analysis. The study results show that women have an adequate ability to hold leadership in schools. Women tend to share more of their differences and are more motivated. Female principals tend to have higher teaching methods and techniques than males. In addition, it shows a more democratic nature and a more participatory style. Female principals tend to behave better and wiser than males in achieving goals. Departing from the low view and assumption of women, in the early childhood education programs world, women show many advantages in occupying the positions of Principals and Teachers compared to men, i.e., 95% are women. And the research implication is that women have more potential in the building and leading Early Childhood Education.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to manage laboratory management and nautical simulators at Marine Science Polytechnic of Semarang and Polytechnic of Surabaya. Methods This research uses a multi-status study (multiple-site case study) in two institutions. This study uses interview guide instruments, observation sheets, and a list of documentation studies. The results showed that the laboratory management of Marine Science Polytechnic of Semarang and Polytechnic of Surabaya was said to be good. With qualifications in planning, supervising, managing, supervising laboratories and nautical simulators. Laboratory planning and nautical simulators at Marine Science Polytechnic of Semarang go through 4 (four) stages, the procurement preparation stage, the selection preparation stage, the selection implementation stage, and the contract implementation stage and handover of work results. Meanwhile, planning for laboratories and nautical simulators at Polytechnic of Surabaya is divided into 2 (two), procurement of new goods and maintenance. The findings in this study are emphasized on the results of data collection through interviews and documentation sent by resource persons to researchers. And the conclusion of the study shows that the quality management of both marine Science Polytechnic of Semarang and Polytechnic of Surabaya has been running well according to the procedure.]]>
