Abstract

Since the National Health Insurance program was launched, BPJS Kesehatan has faced many challenges, one of which is the potential for fraud. BPJS has collaborated to develop fingerprint innovations by implementing a digitalization process for eligibility assurance. The purpose of this study was to review the effectiveness of fingerprint use as a fraud prevention effort in outpatient BPJS participant services at RSIA X Kupang. The research method was qualitative with interviews, observation, and documentation. The study was conducted from October to December 2024. A review of the implementation of fingerprint use in outpatient BPJS patient services at RSIA X showed a significant decrease in potential fraud cases compared to the previous year, when fingerprints were not implemented. The percentage of potential fraud patients who came for outpatient treatment using another participant's BPJS participant card in 2024 experienced a significant decrease, where out of a total of 14,817 outpatients in 2024, there were 2 patients, or equal to 0.01% who had the potential for fraud. The evaluation process must be carried out correctly and precisely to maximize the quality of service in the use of fingerprints.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious public health problem globally, particularly in developing countries. The prevalence of stunting in 2024 is projected to be 21.6%, meaning that 1 in 5 children under five in Indonesia will experience chronic growth problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the literature on stunting prevention through policy and nutrition interventions. This study used a systematic literature review approach. Data were obtained from databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, as well as national policy documents. The analysis was conducted using a PRISMA diagram. The articles discussed stunting prevention with a focus on public policy and nutrition interventions. The analysis results were synthesized to identify patterns, effectiveness, and relationships between public policy and nutrition interventions on stunting prevention. Addressing these issues requires a combination of policy and nutrition interventions. Social protection policies, food aid, and local economic development can increase the consumption of nutritious food and accelerate stunting reduction. One effective approach is the use of spatial data.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in children under two years old (toddlers) are an important issue in public health in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and exposure to cigarette smoke with the nutritional status of toddlers aged 1–6 months in the working area of Muntilan District, Magelang Regency, in 2025. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 124 mothers and 56 toddlers. Data were collected through secondary data and anthropometric measurements based on indicators of BB/U and PB/U according to WHO 2006 standards. Analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the Chi-square test. The results showed that 89.5% of mothers provided exclusive breastfeeding and 57.3% of toddlers were exposed to cigarette smoke at home. Most toddlers had normal nutritional status (BB/U: 83.9%; PB/U: 80.4%). Bivariate testing showed no significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional status (weight/age p = 0.642; height/age p = 0.711) or between cigarette smoke exposure and nutritional status (weight/age p = 0.483; height/age p = 0.520). Although not statistically significant, these findings emphasize the importance of healthy parenting behaviors and a smoke-free home environment to support the growth of toddlers.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology, especially in gadgets, has changed people's lifestyles. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and Body Mass Index (BMI) in students at Maranatha 01 Elementary School, Semarang City. This study used a quantitative, objective approach with a sample of 42 respondents. Parameters measured included height and body mass using an automatic BMI tool. Next, questionnaires were collected, and data were analyzed using the chi-square test and linear regression. The results showed that the majority of students used gadgets for less than two hours per day and began using gadgets after the age of five. According to the analysis, there was no significant relationship between the duration of device use and students' BMI status (p=0.721), and the effect was very weak in the regression analysis (p=0.729). This suggests that time spent using devices is not the primary factor influencing children's BMI. Other factors such as diet, physical activity levels, and genetic predisposition play a greater role in determining children's nutritional status. It is hoped that this research will serve as a basis for developing more comprehensive child health policies and programs in the modern era.
