Abstract

The ability to understand mathematical concepts plays an important role in students' skills and success in learning mathematics. However, in reality, quite a few students have the stigma that mathematics is difficult and scary. This causes a low ability to understand mathematical concepts due to the application of learning strategies that are not appropriate to the abstract field of mathematics and the diverse characteristics of students. The application of content differentiation learning can be a solution to this problem. Mathematics learning aims to turn abstract reasoning into concrete. Visual media as a tool in the differentiated learning process can help students think concretely, explore various mathematical concepts, encourage students to participate actively, and provide meaningful experiences in the learning process to increase understanding of mathematical concepts. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between differentiated learning and students' ability to understand concepts in geometry material on the data side in visual form. This research refers to descriptive research with a qualitative approach with a literature review method through exploration of articles related to the research topic. Then carry out research sourced from trusted literature, namely articles, books and research results from experts to answer how the application of differentiation learning with visual media affects students' ability to understand concepts in Polyhedron Material.

Abstract

In a network connected to the internet, a server computer or computer program is needed that can act as another computer to make requests for content from the internet or intranet. Apart from that, the server computer acts as a gateway to the internet world for each client. Thus, local networks that are connected to other networks or the internet are not directly connected to external networks or the internet, but must pass through a gateway, which acts as a boundary between the local network and the external network. The internet connection is shared among all computers through a component that functions as a proxy server. As is known, algorithm is a syllable that originally originated from mathematics and programming which originated from a computer or cellular network. Therefore, its use can be linked to one of the roles in the operating system where there is a programming algorithm. The purpose of this research is for researchers to carry out the process of learning about work methods and activities in an agency in the field directly. Researchers can get to know the actual work atmosphere so that they can build a good work ethic as well as an effort to broaden their work horizons, and increase their insight and knowledge of information technology in general. general, and especially in server implementations with programming algorithms. Mikrotik in this research is an operating system used to turn a computer into a reliable network router, including various features created for IP networks and wireless networks, suitable for use by Internet Service Providers (ISP) and hostspot providers. In this research, the proxy was installed built in to the router. Bina Islam Mandiri Kersana Vocational School is also one of the Vocational High Schools leading to the National Standard School. Therefore, human resources are also expected to support this goal. To obtain superior human resources, the new student admissions system has begun to set appropriate criteria and is also prepared as fully as possible.

Abstract

Character education and learning mathematics are often considered as two different things. Whereas character education is one of the focuses of the Kurikulum Merdeka through the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, which can be instilled in all fields of study. One way to provide character education in mathematics learning is through inculcating habits of mind. This paper aims to find out whether character education through instilling habits of mind can support the achievement of students' mathematical cognitive abilities. The method used in writing this paper is literature study or literature review. From the results of the literature study, it is found that character education can be carried out by instilling habits of mind. This is because the habits of mind have 16 indicators which are positive characters. Besides being able to develop positive character, character education through inculcating habits of mind can also support the achievement of students' cognitive abilities, which can also be seen from several previous studies. This is due to the positive characters that have been embedded in students, for example, such as the characters of perseverance, curiosity, critical, analytical, communication, and empathy. This means that by providing character education through instilling habits of mind, not only positive character will be formed in students, but students' cognitive achievement will also be more optimal.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the basic knowledge that has an important role in the means of thinking to develop logical, systematic and critical thinking. In mathematics, it has many connections with abstract ideas which are given symbols that are arranged hierarchically, so learning mathematics takes a long time and requires patience, one of which is understanding gradient material. Gradient or slope is a number that states the degree of slope of a line, the more sloping a line is, the greater the gradient. In general, students experience difficulties in learning gradient material due to several factors. One of the factors that makes it difficult for students to understand gradient material is their low understanding of the material, unable to understand the concept of the material, and lack of practice in working on the questions. In overcoming the difficulties in understanding the gradient material above, teachers need to provide interesting learning methods for students. The existence of learning using a modified engklek game makes it easy for students to understand, not get bored quickly and feel entertained by this learning method. Apart from that, in this engklek game method students can think relatively freely and be more active in communicating. The population of this research is class X MAN 2 Jember 2022 students, totaling 1 class X Science 5

Abstract

Mathematics is a comprehensive and general field, which has a very vital contribution to various fields of science and the development of human thought patterns, as well as underlying the growth of modern technology. Mathematics is taught at various levels of education from elementary school to university level. One of the materials taught in elementary school is building space. There are many geometric shapes discussed in elementary school mathematics material, namely cubes, blocks, prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders and balls. A geometric shape is defined as a shape that has length, width and height. Building space is one of the materials that is considered difficult for students to understand. This is because students are not careful in distinguishing variables in spatial shapes. Apart from that, monotonous learning methods cause students to be less interested in studying volume material. Therefore, researchers want to apply a learning method using modified monopoly game media. Monopoly game is one of the most famous board games in the world. The goal of this monopoly game is to control all the tiles on the board through buying, renting, and exchanging properties in a simplified economic system. Researchers will use the monopoly method to find the volume and surface area of geometric figures, so that students will be interested in trying to do it. Researchers provide questions and prizes in the game. Apart from playing while learning using this monopoly method, students can more easily memorize the formulas for finding the volume of geometric figures. The population of this research is class 5 at SDN Sukamakmur 01. The sample used in this research is 30 class 5 students from SDN Sukamakmur 01 who will be divided into experimental class and control class. The expected result of this research is that students can better understand and be able to work on the questions that have been given related to spatial shapes.
