Abstract

Garbage is a very large natural resource originating from housing and markets which ultimately waste becomes an important problem for densely populated urban areas if not utilized properly. Composting is basically an effort to activate microbial activities in order to accelerate the decomposition process of organic matter. The result of the reshuffle is called compost which is used as fertilizer that can provide nutrients for plants and improve soil fertility.)This activity is the implementation of appropriate technology in the mass composting of urban organic waste, especially in the empowerment of urban agricultural land (urban faming) which is carried out in the RW area. 02 Kalirungkut Village, Rungkut District, Surabaya City. The models offered to solve the problem of urban organic waste for partners are: 1). Help prepare assistance to improve expertise and skills in the management of urban organic waste mass composting; 2). Provide support in mobilizing community participation so that they consciously and voluntarily understand waste problems in order to become compost products that are beneficial for the cultivation of productive plants and greening the surrounding environment; The results of the implementation of this appropriate technology show that there is awareness of community participation in waste management by implementing the 3R (reduce, refuse, recycle) aimed at reducing the amount of waste starting at the source by sorting household waste in the form of organic waste and inorganic waste. With the urban agriculture movement, it can be an alternative to maintain family food security, besides being able to make a major contribution in providing green open space

Abstract

Statistics can be used to state a collection of facts, generally in the form of numbers arranged in tables or diagrams that describe or describe a problem. Applying statistics to research is an advantage that a researcher has when conducting research. In addition to making it easier for students to analyze data, students also have a relatively shorter time in calculating the data they get.  Statistical data processing training using SPSS for students is carried out with face-to-face methods, and spss program application practices run smoothly and well. Activities are carried out gradually from the presentation of concepts that are continued by the practice of the given concepts. Participants follow the activity enthusiastically; this is indicated by questions and responses regarding the material provided. Statistical program training for students in this community service program that has been carried out is expected to provide the understanding and teachers' ability to use statistical programs that will have an impact on increasing research productivity at IAI Pangeran Diponegoro Nganjuk

Abstract

Environmental problems are problems that arise from humans themselves, this can be one of the obstacles to factors that affect the success of teachers and learners in the teaching and learning process in schools. This problem must be overcome by making an effort to foster attitudes and living behaviors for school residents, both teachers, students, employees and parents / families who care about the environment with the management of environmentally sound school areas through the Adiwiyata program. Adiwiyata Program is a program of the Ministry of Environment, where this program is a form of appreciation given by the government to formal educational institutions that are considered to be instrumental in developing environmental education. With the Adiwiyata program, the Faculty of Agriculture – Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya as one of the Universities in Indonesia, especially East Java can make a real contribution in the success of the program through Community Service (PkM) activities. Community Service activities with the empowerment of elementary school teachers are carried out in the West Surabaya area, which is structurally an integral part of the Lakarsantri Subdistrict area, Surabaya - East Java. This program aims to grow and improve the ability of elementary school students to create a healthy environment and avoid negative environmental impacts through school activities with the empowerment of elementary teachers, through active involvement both initiativeally and participatoryly. This method of activity will be carried out using the PRRA (Participatory Rapid Rural Appraissal) and RRA (Rapid and Rural Appraissal) methods, between members of the elementary and companion teachers group (UWKS College) and students. Abstract

Early childhood education is an educational program launched by the government to meet the growth and development needs of children. Early childhood education is a coaching effort aimed at children from birth to the age of six which is carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to help the growth and development of children's physical and spiritual so that children have readiness to enter further education. One of the activities that can develop children's language intelligence is storytelling. Storytelling is something that is rarely done. Its role and function have been replaced by television shows and playing games on the computer. Apart from all that, stories have strengths, functions and benefits as a medium of communication, as well as a method in building a child's personality. The choice of a theme that is adapted to the linear discipline of the UBSI Campus is an absolute must, as a form of professionalism and proportion in doing community service.Seeing this, in this Community Service activity, the implementer wants to socialize the PKK RW01 RPTRA Idaman Patterns, both online using the zoom application and offline regarding the importance of storytelling in children and how to implement communication that needs to be established between parents and children through storytelling so that it is expected to develop the child's personality and intelligence

Abstract

Waste management is a systematic, thorough, and sustainable activity that includes reducing and handling waste. Activities in waste management include waste generation control, waste collection, transportation, processing, and final disposal (Law No. 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management). The purpose of community service is to increase the knowledge of the Chairman of the Neighboring Pillars about the processing of household waste in Pematang Sulur Village, Jambi City, forming a Household Waste Utilization Activist in Pematang Sulur Village, Jambi City. Pematang Sulur Village is a village located in Jambi City. The heterogeneous community environmental conditions, in general, do not pay attention to the environment identical to settlements that still make it possible to make piles of garbage in the yard of the house. The behavior of people who care less about the environment can be seen in the garbage that is thrown away and scattered in residential areas. If you look at Pematang Sulur Village, whose community characteristics are compound/heterogeneous, waste management is necessary along with the development and population growth; some residents may not realize the meaning of environmental cleanliness. In addition, the existence is very vulnerable to water pollution, siltation, and narrowing of the river, which also hampers groundwater processes if some of the existing communities throw their waste directly into the river. There is much plastic waste that the soil cannot decompose, which will result in the accumulation of waste and waste. Community service concludes that there is a significant difference between knowledge before and after education or counseling on household waste processing in Pematang Sulur Village, Jambi City, the formation of the Activists for the Utilization of household waste in Pematang Sulur Village, Jambi City.

Abstract

Advances in technology and information are an inseparable part of globalization experienced by every nation. Social media is now increasingly accessible to everyone. There are no restrictions or distinctions for each group to access social media, both for the educated group and the less educated group. All have equal access to express their thoughts in the public sphere. The rapid development of technology and information if it is not balanced with education to the public to use it wisely will be very dangerous. Unlike when someone wants to write in a magazine or newspaper, he will get strict supervision from the editors. Therefore, this community service offers a solution by providing education by providing understanding to the community, especially the Karangtaruna youth in Benda Baru Pamulang, South Tangerang to use social media wisely. So it is hoped that this training and education can influence the community to always use the internet wisely both in the mass media and on social media. So it is hoped that in the future young people will be able to use social media wisely, encourage the youth community to have a sense of pride in participating in the National Mental Revolution Movement or Gerakan Nasional Revolusi Mental (GNRM) through their respective social media and grow grassroots movements to spread Mental Revolution content involving the younger generation. In accordance with Impres No. 12 of 2016 concerning the National Movement for Mental Revolution (GNRM)
