Abstract

Bullying is an unpleasant act committed by an individual or group of people, either verbally, physically, or socially, both in real life and in the virtual world. In Islam, the practice of bullying has existed since ancient times, as illustrated in the story of Yusuf AS who experienced violence from his brothers, as described in the Quran. This research aims to see and know the interpretation of verses about bullying in the Quran and the solution to bullying behavior according to the Quran. This research uses a literature study using the thematic interpretation method (maudhu'i), which is interpreting the Qur'an by focusing on one particular theme. The verses related to the theme are collected and analyzed, taking into account the semantic aspects and their interpretation. The result of this study is that although the Quran does not directly address bullying, it describes similar acts, especially verbally. The Quran provides solutions such as remembering Allah, speaking kindly, apologizing, and managing words wisely. The importance of implementing these solutions is to create a bullying-free environment.

Abstract

The indifference of the Muslim community to nature is due to the dichotomy of the meaning of worship with social life. The community feels that environmental cleanliness is not their full responsibility, so a new paradigm concept is needed that realizes that ecology is part of life and activities in protecting nature, including a form of love for God. This research comes with the aim of finding the concept of a sustainable lifestyle with the paradigm of ecosufism contained in Surah Al-A'raf verses 56-58. The research method used is a qualitative method with literature study techniques. In the previous research, it concluded that Nasr offers a concept of human ethical take care of nature properly in the form of issuing the concept of ecosufism, so it will create a harmony between God, nature, and humans. As a development of the results of previous research, this study provides contextual practices as an implementation of the interpretation of verses and the concept of ecosufism in the form of the concept of cleanliness as part of faith, the concept of the human life cycle, the concept of the benefits of life, the concept of asceticism, and the concept of living with nature that can be done in everyday life without having to move away from the "afterlife".

Abstract

This journal will discuss Nabiaa Abbot's thoughts on hadith, where we know that hadith is the second source of Islamic law after the Koran. And this is an important thing for not only Muslims to understand but also nonMuslims. Nabiaa Aboot is one of the pioneers of many women in the Islamic Middle East. Nabiia Aboot's thoughts on the hadith consist of three main parts, namely: a). Definition of Hadith or As-Sunnah, b). Hadith Codification, c). Criticism of Sanad and Matan. This article is a library research type. Using qualitative methods and a descriptive-analytic approach, this research confirms that Aboot tries to position hadith as something that cannot be separated from the Al-Qur'an, so an explanation from the Al-Qur'an is needed.

Abstract

The study of the eastern world has become a self-attraction of the orientalists. It is not surprising that the Qur’an and the Hadith do not escape their criticism. Therefore, a critical thought was born about the study of the author used the library study as a method in complication and obtained a result that the desire of the orientalists to study the world of the hadith rather than to spread an unreasonable opinion of the Islamic religion, but became a desire obsession with the religion of Islam, one of them btw of researching the authoritative a hadith. with the supporting factors of their studies there are two things. First, their study of the hadith focused on the Matan, and was helped by the involvement of their thinking with the aspects of Methodology, Sosio Graphic Kutral, word view as well as language. Second, from the thinking carried out was born the theory and methods of the orientalist that the criticism of Matan is the result of the thinking of Ignaz Goldziher, as The main pioneer in the study of critical hadith. Then projecting back and Argument E-Silentio Which is the result of the thinking of Joseph Schacht, Common Link is a theory developed from Schacht’s thinking by G.HA. Jyunboll, Dating and Isnad Matan Analiysis by Harlad Motzki and Explosive Isnad and the Isnad Family Nabia Abbot.

Abstract

This journal examines the post-wedding Ma'gawe tradition at the grave of Datuk Sulaiman, Pattimang Village, Malangke District, North Luwu Regency. The focus of this study is to determine the meaning of the Ma'gawe tradition for the Pattimang community and its relevance to post-wedding. This research is a type of field research with a descriptive-qualitative method, the approach used is phenomenological. The main primary data sources were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from people directly involved in the Ma'gawe tradition after the wedding. Meanwhile, secondary additional data, namely in the form of literature studies, is obtained through books, texts, and journals. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the community views the Ma'gawe tradition after the wedding at Datuk Sulaiman's grave as a place to ask for blessings from Allah for the marriage they have carried out and as a sense of respect for the people of Pattimang Village for Datuk Sulaiman who has brought Islam to Tana Luwu.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas sejarah dan dinamika tafsir Al-Qur’an di Bugis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang sumber datanya diperoleh dari kepustakaan (Library research). Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Sejarah dan dinamika tafsir Al-Qur'an di Bugis mencerminkan kontinuitas dan perubahan dalam upaya memperluas pemahaman agama Islam di Sulawesi Selatan. Dengan adaptasi budaya lokal melalui penggunaan bahasa Bugis atau aksara Lontara, tafsir Al-Qur'an di Bugis menjadi instrumen untuk memperluas aksesibilitas dan inklusivitas terhadap pengetahuan agama bagi masyarakat. Perjalanan panjang tafsir Al-Qur'an di Bugis dimulai sejak era KH. Muhammad As'ad, yang merupakan salah satu tokoh utama dalam pengembangan pondok pesantren As'adiyah di Sulawesi Selatan. Pada tahun 1948, AG. H. Muhammad As'ad menulis tafsir pertama dalam bahasa Bugis yang diberi judul "Tafsir Surah Ammah bi Al-Lugha Al-Bughisiyyah", yang kemudian menjadi tonggak awal bagi perkembangan tafsir Al-Qur'an dalam bahasa Bugis di daerah tersebut. Pondok pesantren ini telah memainkan peran penting dalam pengembangan tafsir Al-Qur'an di Sulawesi-selatan. Institusi ini tidak hanya menyediakan tempat untuk belajar agama, tetapi juga menjadi pusat pemikiran dan produksi intelektual yang pada masanya juga menulis kitab tafsir seperti AG. H Yunus Martan, AG. H Abdullah Pabbaja AG. H Hamzah Manguluang, AG. H. Daud Ismail dan AG. H Mu’in Yusuf.

Abstract

Negative accusations regarding the credibility of Imam Jarir al-Thabari in Tafsir Jami’ al-Bayan, which includes many Israiliyat narrations, are often the discourse of Qur’anic researchers from time to time. But is Imam al-Thabari not careful and indifferent to this? The purpose of this paper is to understand the construction and present a critique of the story of Israiliyat in the book of Jami’ al-Bayan, focusing on the story of the temptation of the Prophet Yusuf as. and the Examination of the Prophet Daud as., which the author examines from various views of scholars and mufassir. The method used in this paper is a qualitative descriptive-based literature approach based on the Story of Israiliyat in the work of Ibn Jarir At-Thabari. The data collection is by collecting several texts that are in accordance with the topics discussed in the form of articles and books and analyzed with keyword analysis techniques, abstracts, and results or conclusions on similar sources. The results found 3 things: First, that in the book of Tafsir Al-Ṭabari there are several narrations that contain Israiliyat; Both shahih, dhaif, until declared rejected. Second, the Narration of Israiliyat in the story of Yusuf’s Temptation and Daud’s trial was declared unacceptable because of historical defects. Thirdly, Regarding the reasoning behind the Israiliyat narrative itself, Imam al-Thabari tries to convey only memorized narrations, the decision on this narrative is left to the reader

Abstract

This study examines the complexity of mutawatir and shadz qiraah and its implications for contemporary Qur'anic studies. Against the backdrop of debates about the validity of qiraah and its potential contribution to Qur'anic interpretation, this study aims to analyze the differences between mutawatir and shadz qiraah and explore scholarly views on the pillars of qiraah. Using a qualitative method with a critical-analytical approach, the study examines classical and contemporary literature and evaluates the implications of qiraah for tafsir, Islamic law and modern linguistic studies. The results show that while mutawatir qiraah is generally accepted, there are complex nuances in the application of its validity criteria. Qiraah shadz, although not used in worship, has significant value in the development of Qur'anic tafsir and linguistics. This study reveals the potential of qiraah in enriching the understanding of the miracles of the Qur'an, including in the scientific aspect (kauniyyah). This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics of qiraah science and its relevance to contemporary Qur'anic studies, paving the way for the integration of classical and modern perspectives in Qur'anic studies.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the concept of Al-Nafs in the understanding and Book of Tafsir written by Ibn Kathir. The concept of Nafs itself is one of the important parts in the aspect of human life as a whole being that has spiritual and physical elements. This study was conducted using the library research method with the content analysis technique where the author conducted a study of the book of tafsir written by Ibn Kathir which discusses the concept of Al-Nafs. In Ibn Kathir's interpretation, there are several verses in the Qur'an that discuss in detail about Al-Nafs. Ibn Kathir's opinion about Nafs is based on a literal interpretation (Text) where the word nafs is interpreted as the process of human creation starting from Adam and Eve as explained in QS. Al-Mu'minun / 23: 12-16. In addition, in QS Yusuf / 12: 53, Al-Nafs is interpreted as part of lust both in terms of anger (negative) and love (positive) towards fellow human beings. Then in QS Al -Qiyamah/75:2 Ibn Kathir interprets that humans need to purify their souls from regrettable mistakes before facing the afterlife, this is connected to the command of Allah SWT to always repent. Furthermore, QS Al-Isra verses 31 and 33 and QS Al-Ma'idah: Verse 32 which explain the existence of a strict prohibition not to kill each other without a fundamental thing to protect the nature of humans as the noble creation of Allah SWT.

Abstract

The study of TafsIr in State Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKIN) has an important role in enriching the treasures and development of contemporary Al-Qur'an studies. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the dynamics of tafsir studies at IAIN Palu (currently Datokarama State Islamic University Palu) as a center for Al-Qur'an studies for the people of Central Sulawesi in general and Palu City in particular. Apart from that, this research aims to map the study of the Al-Qur'an at IAIN Palu which is a reference for interpreters of the Al-Qur'an in Indonesia and discuss the uniqueness of the Al-Qur'an discourse at IAIN Palu as one of the determining factors in the accreditation process. For this reason, I analyzed the method and context of academic exegesis in the form of student theses (2013-2017) and IAIN Palu lecture articles published in the IAIN Palu internal journal 2005-2017. The results of the study and investigation concluded that the dynamics of academic exegesis studies at IAIN Palu had a classical and modern thematic pattern with a tendency for the context of studies to be conducted more on contemporary social issues, especially up to 2015. In 2016, student and lecturer studies directed the study of the living Qur'an. an as one of the new trends in contemporary Al-Qur'an studies. This research confirms that the study of interpretation at IAIN Palu has experienced quite dynamic development as many new lecturers introduce various interpretation paradigms that are more contextual and progressive.
