Abstract

PasarPolis is the first online insurance company in Indonesia established in 2014. The company aims to be the best insurance provider in Indonesia by providing easy access, fast service, and affordable prices. Pasar Polis provides various types of insurance, including health insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, travel insurance, and car insurance. In addition, PasarPolis also has an employee benefits program, providing insurance solutions for companies and employees. This program offers benefits for companies, such as providing insurance protection and employee benefits, as well as employee retention and company loyalty. One of the ways used by companies to inform their employees about the Employee Benefit program is through the PasarPolis Employee Benefit website. However, the PasarPolis website is not user-friendly, making it difficult for employees to find information and access Pasarpolis Employee Benefit services efficiently. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the user interface and user experience of the PasarPolis Employee Benefits website to make it easier to use and easier for company employees. Design thinking is a design methodology that emphasizes empathy for users and creative problem solving. This approach includes stages such as empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing to help develop innovative solutions based on user needs. By using the Design Thinking approach, the UI and UX design of the Pasarpolis Employee Welfare website can be improved to meet user needs. The interim results of this research include various UI and UX designs generated through prototyping. These prototypes have been tested with users to obtain valuable feedback. The results of this testing helped the team in improving the designs and steering the design towards a better user experience. This research contributes to the improvement of the Pasarpolis Employee Benefit website through a Design Thinking approach that focuses on a deep understanding of user needs and design iterations based on user feedback. Thus, it is expected that these interim results can improve the quality of UI and UX on the website

Abstract

The ease of providing information services is one aspect of public services that must be fulfilled by higher education institutions. However, this requires quite a bit of resources to handle the large number of requests for information availability. Virtual assistants can be the answer to providing information easily and quickly. Virtual assistants have been widely used by various institutions to provide information services that are fast and can be accessed at any time. This study was conducted to study what types of methods and approaches can be applied to the development of virtual assistants in Indonesia. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review approach. A review was carried out on 13 selected articles that discussed the application of virtual assistants in higher education in Indonesia. As a result, virtual assistants can be applied in various forms with various development method approaches. In addition, it was also found that all academic service information provision and academic operational support owned by higher education institutions can be assisted by virtual assistants

Abstract

In the context of the digital technology implementation in the Indonesian insurance sector, organization such as ReinsurCo is required to accelerate the digital transformation (TD) process to remain competitive. Even though there are often obstacles in the implementation of TD due to ineffective management of IT services, ReinsurCo as a BUMN supervised by the OJK must comply with regulations such as PER-2/MBU/03/2023 and the 2021-2025 Financial Services Sector Master Plan which emphasizes TD. This study aims to identify governance & management objectives (GMO) of IT service management required by ReinsurCo, develop recommendations for optimizing GMOs based on evaluating the gaps of the seven components of current and target capabilities, and design essential improvements to GMOs based on the recommendations that have been prepared. This research involved five DSR steps: problem description, requirements specification, design and development, demonstration, and evaluation. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and triangulation of internal documents. Analysis using COBIT 2019 Governance and Management Objectives (GMO), the application of design factors, focus areas, and TKTI mechanisms that influence TD resulted in three priority GMOs: DSS04 Managed Continuity, APO11 Managed Quality, and DSS06 Managed Business Controls. A gap evaluation was carried out to produce recommendations that served as a guide for ReinsurCo in implementation and increased GMO by an average of 0.2 (6.1%). This research contributes to the understanding of IT service management, which is a priority to support TD, the benefits are especially for ReinsurCo in achieving strategic planning success and the insurance industry

Abstract

South Tapanuli is an area known for its extensive salak farming. Salak farming in the South Tapanuli area is one of the economic sources of the people in the South Tapanuli area. The South Tapanuli Regional Agriculture Office is an agency engaged in various fields of agriculture, in its annual activity it records the results of salak agricultural production. Salak agricultural production results that are obtained often experience changes, so we need a system to make predictions, the goal is to find out the yield of salak farming. With the application of the SVM (Support Vector Machine) algorithm, it has been successfully carried out with a total of 28 data on salak agricultural yields in the South Tapanuli Region year 2019 - 2020. The error rate obtained from the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) in making the prediction model is 1,49 while the accuracy level is 44%

Abstract

This study aims to examine the attributes of spatio-temporal dynamics and the progression of land-use alterations, which is imperative for comprehending and appraising the condition and transformation of ecosystems. When employed in the context of North Halmahera Regency, this analysis can furnish fundamental insights to facilitate informed decision-making in urban planning. By understanding the spatio-temporal dynamics of land use change in the region, decision-makers can make more effective choices regarding infrastructure development, resource allocation, and sustainable urban growth, ultimately leading to more resilient and well-planned urban environments. In the methodology section, this study employed Landsat 8 OLI satellite imagery and Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to investigate the spatio-temporal dynamics and land use changes in North Halmahera Regency from 2013 to 2023. These Research Findings show that land use management for urban planning objectives should assess several dimensions, such as preserving Hibualamo cultural values, settlement patterns derived from household livelihood assets, and Tobelo City's economic activities.

Abstract

The utilization of WiFi internet networks on campus as tools to support the learning process at the Faculty of Science and Technology is crucial. Therefore, it essential for the campus to provide internet facilities ensure that all activities, including services and the learning process, are effective. This research analyze the quality of WiFi networks at Faculty of Science and Technology using the Quality of Service (QoS) method with parameters such  throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter. In this study, testing was conducted on WiFi networks in three buildings within the Faculty of Science and Technology, under different conditions during peak hours and off-peak hours, using several SSIDs such as Pegawai, Pimpinan, Uinsuska, Labor TIF dan Baru Belajar, with bandwidths of up to 100Mbps. Test results indicate that the values obtained for throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter in the three buildings were categorized as "Excellent" with an index of 4. However, in the Lab building, some parameters were found to be low. Therefore, this research conducted a redesign of the topology in the Lab building using Network Simulator 2 (NS2) to improve the quality of the WiFi network. Four nodes were recommended for each floor of the Lab building in the topology redesign. The results of these tests provided QoS parameter values that were used as information for the tested topology recommendations, showing good parameter quality with a throughput value 4738.7 Kbps, a packet loss value 0%, delay value 3.9639249 ms, and jitter value 0,381779103 ms. The results of this testing can be used as information and analystt for the campus PTIPD to enhance the quality of WiFi networks in the Faculty of Science and Technology

Abstract

PT. Intan Salsabila, also known as Intan International Tour & Travel, is a company that organizes Hajj and Umrah services. Currently the company implements an attendance system using the Android application into 4 data conditions, namely employee attendance, collection of employee attendance data one day before entering salary according to employee data provided, overtime presence, and business trip presence. This study will focus on the system of overtime attendance in the form of applications and android application sites. The purpose of an attendance system audit is to find out that the attendance system that has been implemented is running properly. This research was started from conducting a literature study to support the research. In collecting and observing data, this study used survey methods and interviews with relevant informants and confirmed documents. The domains chosen in this study are Delivery, Service and Support (DSS) and validating and (MEA01.01) in evaluating to measure presence solutions and services. The research results show that . PT. Intan Salsabila, it can be concluded from the results of the questionnaire order that the domain with the highest score, namely the DSS01.01 Perform Operational Procedure domain, obtained a maturity level value of 10.62 with a Fully Achieved achievement value, received an Optimized Level in IT capabilities, a gap value of 5.62 from target level 5 in the first order, DSS02.02 Record, classify, and priortise requests and incidents and DSS01.03 has a GAP line of -055, the smallest value that must be repaired must be repaired again in the application and the user. For other domains it must be maintained so that the application or user who uses it must maintain the application

Abstract

A recession is a decline in overall economic activity, this is considered a phase of significant and sustainable economic decline in various sectors and economic indicators. The threat of a recession in 2023 has become a topic of discussion in many countries, including Indonesia. This happens because Indonesia is threatened as a country affected by a recession due to weakening economic activity in the real sector. This sentiment classification research aims to analyze public opinion and opinion regarding the issue of recession news in 2023 which is conveyed via the social media platform Twitter. This research aims to understand whether these opinions fall into the category of positive sentiment or negative sentiment. Apart from that, this research also aims to measure the level of accuracy in classifying these sentiments into appropriate classes. This research has several main processes starting from data collection then manual data labeling, text processing, feature weighting (TF-IDF), Thresholding feature selection and K-Nearest Neighbor method classification. Based on the classification results using a testing model from a total of 1000 comment data divided between 596 positive class data and 404 negative class Twitter data regarding the threat of recession in 2023, the highest accuracy results were obtained at 85% at a value of k = 3 using the 90:10 comparison model training and testing data

Abstract

Landscape changes brought on by converting land from community plantations to industrial areas must be continuously monitored for spatial data documentation. This study proposes documenting changes in the environment of coconut farms in Indonesia's North Maluku Province's Gulo Village, North Kao District, and North Halmahera Regency. The spatio-temporal analysis method was employed in this investigation. The results of this study show that the spatio-temporal analysis method is very relevant to be used in identifying and analyzing the dynamics of land cover and use in buffer zones and industrial zones through the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI)  models. According to Landsat 8 OLI satellite image data based on 2018, 2019, and 2021, the land cover and use in the buffer zone, particularly in Gulo Village and Dowongimaiti Village, suggest agricultural activity and deep coconut plantations. The Landsat 8 OLI satellite image data calculation in August 2018 was 0.39 based on vegetation index data in the Gulo Village buffer zone. This value declined to 0.35 in September 2019 and increased to 0.43 in September 2021. In addition, changes in the vegetation index value of 0.39 in August 2018 were discovered based on data from the Dowongimaiti Village buffer zone, which declined to 0.38 in September 2019 and increased to 0.44 in September 2021. The NDWI model's calculation outcomes in industrial zones reveal water features and puddles with an average index value of -0.33. As a result, as a proactive and strategic measure to reduce the risk of disaster brought on by industrial activities, the output of the spatio-temporal analysis method can be used to optimize the function of supervision or control of environmental conditions in the form of appropriate program recommendations.

Abstract

Education is one of the critical sectors in the development of a country, and the need for an efficient new student registration process has become increasingly pressing with technological advancements. a vocational high school in North Cikarang, currently faces challenges in the manual process of enrolling new students. This creates issues for prospective students and school administrators. To address this problem, a technology-based solution is required, and the use of the Waterfall method in system development is an appropriate approach. The Information System for New Student Enrollment at Vocational High School, using the Waterfall method, aims to provide an efficient, structured, and accessible registration process. With this approach, each step in the system development process is carried out sequentially, including analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Prospective students and parents can access this system online, eliminating geographical limitations in the registration process. The results of this research include the development of a web-based new student registration system using PHP with the Laravel framework. This system provides a solution to address the existing manual issues at Vocational High School. In conclusion, this system offers several benefits, including simplifying the registration process for parents, providing better access to school information, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the new student admission process. Furthermore, data stored in the database is more secure and easily accessible to school staff.
