Abstract

This article examines essential figures in Islamic philosophy who have played a crucial role in developing Islamic philosophical thought in the Islamic world. In its writing, this article employs a particular kind of library research with a descriptive-qualitative approach to analyze the schools and figures of philosophy in Islam. The study's findings indicate that Islamic philosophy emerged as a result of a dialogue between Islamic teachings and Greek philosophical traditions, giving birth to various schools that reflect diverse perspectives on fundamental issues such as Dialectical Theology (Kalam Science), Peripatetic (Masya'i), Illumination (Isyraqi), Irfani (Sufism), and Hikmah Muta'aliyah philosophy. Each school has different characteristics and philosophical outlooks, but all contributed to intellectual progress in the Islamic world. In addition, this article also discusses the role of central figures of Islamic philosophers such as Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Ghazali, Suhrawardi, and Mulla Sadra, each of whom brought great contributions to Islamic philosophical thought. They played an essential role in shaping these schools with their profound thoughts regarding the connection between revelation, reason, God, and humanity. Understanding these schools and figures is hoped to provide more comprehensive information about Islamic philosophy's contribution to the context of global thought

Abstract

In the context of Islamic education, evaluation functions as a tool to measure the achievement of learning objectives. One method used in assessing the effectiveness of school performance is School Self-Evaluation (EDS). Optimal implementation of EDS aims to help schools identify problems, adjust educational programs, and improve the quality of the learning process. In order to support the improvement of education quality, schools need to understand and implement the principles of self-evaluation management as a whole. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. EDS/M has an important role in identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges related to achieving education quality standards, as well as being the basis for preparing the Madrasah Work Plan and Budget (RKAM) or School Work Plan (RKS). Therefore, this article reviews the basic concept of school/madrasah self-evaluation management, the evaluation results obtained, and provides recommendations to encourage the improvement of the quality of Islamic education in the current era.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a global concern aimed at ensuring equal educational access for all children, including those with special needs. In Indonesia, the implementation still faces obstacles, especially related to access, public stigma, and limited support facilities. This study explores the inclusive curriculum model in creating a child-friendly learning environment. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involves literature review and observation of real phenomena regarding inclusive education. Data were analyzed through content analysis to formulate an inclusive school curriculum. The findings reveal that curriculum planning must be based on individual assessments, supported by collaborative teaching involving special education teachers. Inclusive learning is implemented through curriculum modifications, individual learning programs, and appropriate evaluations. The research highlights the importance of teacher competence, parental support, and adequate facilities. In conclusion, the inclusive curriculum model can support the realization of child-friendly schools, promote equality in education, and empower children with special needs to reach their potential.

Abstract

Islamic education is essentially a process of developing a whole person, emphasizing not only cognitive aspects but also spiritual and social ones. However, contemporary educational approaches often neglect the contemplative and ecological dimensions. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review to explore the conceptual link between the role of sunlight in the process of photosynthesis and the role of teachers in Islamic Religious Education learning. The results of the study indicate that sunlight, as the primary trigger for photosynthesis, can be interpreted metaphorically as a teacher who illuminates and activates the spiritual potential of students. The intensity, quality, and direction of light represent the teacher's presence, competence, and moral orientation in the educational process. The conceptual implications of this study emphasize the importance of a reflective, ecological, and spiritual Islamic educational paradigm, where teachers function as sources of enlightenment on values and life that integrate science and spirituality in learning practices.

Abstract

Education plays a fundamental role in shaping human character and holistic personality. In Islamic education, the ultimate goal is to realize insan kamil the perfect human being who maintains balance between spiritual, intellectual, and moral dimensions. Meanwhile, the Indonesian national education system, as stated in Law Number 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, also emphasizes the formation of a whole person who is faithful, pious, knowledgeable, and responsible. This study aims to analyze the concept of the ideal human in Islamic educational thought and its implementation in Indonesia’s national education objectives. Using a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study draws upon classical Islamic texts, scholarly journals, and official educational documents. The findings reveal that the concept of insan kamil in Islamic education is substantially aligned with the goals of national education, particularly in fostering harmony between faith, knowledge, and morality. Implementation of this concept can be realized through the integration of spiritual values into the curriculum, strengthening of character education, and enhancing teachers’ competence in internalizing religious values. This study highlights the importance of synergy between Islamic values and the philosophy of national education in developing a generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, ethical, and competitive as the foundation for national progress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of educational science and Civics (PKn) in the learning process of students of the Elementary Madrasah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) at STAI Sangatta, and to examine the implementation of this integration in strengthening students' social competence. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of lecturers and PGMI students involved in integrative learning activities. The results show that the integration of educational science and Civics is carried out through the development of a thematic curriculum, the implementation of learning based on national and Islamic values, and collaborative activities that foster positive social attitudes in students. This integration contributes to strengthening students' social competence, which is reflected in increased cooperation, tolerance, communication, and social awareness. Supporting factors include lecturer commitment, institutional support, and synergy between courses; while inhibiting factors include limited lecture time and a lack of contextual learning media. This study emphasizes the importance of an integrative, cross-disciplinary approach in developing the social competence of prospective madrasah teachers
