Abstract

Aktivitas membentuk dalam seni rupa memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini. Dengan menggunakan bahan seperti tanah liat, plastisin, lilin mainan, atau bahan alami lainnya, anak-anak dapat melatih motorik halus, mengembangkan kreativitas, serta meningkatkan imajinasi mereka secara optimal. Proses membentuk tidak hanya menjadi sarana ekspresi diri, tetapi juga melatih kemampuan problem-solving melalui eksplorasi bentuk dan bahan. Aktivitas ini mendorong anak untuk berpikir kritis dan menemukan solusi saat menghadapi tantangan, seperti menciptakan bentuk yang stabil atau sesuai keinginan. Selain itu, kegiatan membentuk membantu meningkatkan koordinasi tangan dan mata, yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan fisik anak. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, seperti memberikan kebebasan berkreasi dan menyediakan lingkungan yang aman, anak-anak juga dapat melatih keterampilan sosial, seperti bekerja sama dengan teman atau berbagi alat yang diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, aktivitas seni rupa ini menjadi salah satu metode efektif untuk mendukung perkembangan holistik anak usia dini, baik dari aspek fisik, mental, maupun emosional mereka.

Abstract

Family plays an important role in the formation of children's character. Therefore, families must always faithfully accompany children during their growth and development. But the reality today, especially in big cities, parents prioritize their jobs and positions rather than accompanying their children during their growth and development. This article wants to show how great the influence of family togetherness is in the formation of early childhood character. To achieve this goal, the author wants to raise the culture of mendarang in Seko Lemo, which is a culture of warming oneself around the kitchen together with all family members. Apparently, this culture also greatly influences children in forming their character. Through the method of literature and field studies, and using Albert Bandura's learning observation approach as a theoretical lens, it can be concluded that the culture of mendarang forms the character of children who have a friendly attitude towards guests and others, are independent, and foster high self-confidence in children. These characters are very important for children in their future lives

Abstract

Multicultural education at RA Mubarokah is implemented as a strategy to prevent extremismamong children. Through a qualitative narrative approach, this study explores the practicalexperiences of teachers and students in an inclusive learning environment. In this context,multicultural education not only serves as an introduction to various cultures, but also as aforum to build tolerance, empathy, and intercultural understanding. Activities such as groupdiscussions, art performances, and celebrations of religious holidays are designed to showcase cultural diversity and eliminate stereotypes that can fuel extremist attitudes. Teachers play a key role in educating children about the importance of mutual respect for differences, which is a foothold in building a positive personality. Through interviews and direct observation, it was found that children began to show behavioral changes that led them to an attitude of mutual respect. The study also highlights the challenges faced in the implementation process, such as resistance from the surrounding environment and lack of resources. However, the results show that a consistently applied multicultural education can contribute significantly to creating a safe and peaceful environment, thus forming a younger generation that understands and appreciates differences. Through this understanding, it is hoped that children can grow into individuals who not only prevent extremism, but also become agents of positive social change in society. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating multicultural values in the early childhood education curriculum as a preventive measure against the potential for extremism in the future

Abstract

Christian education for early childhood development plays a crucial role in shaping the moral, character, and intellectual development of children as the future generation. The purpose of this study is to analyze how Christian education for early childhood can contribute to sustainable human development through quality learning. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing literature reviews from books and journal articles. This study found that Christianity, guided by biblical values such as love, honesty, responsibility, and discipline, helps produce individuals with integrity, high social awareness, and the ability to adapt to globalization. Additionally, quality learning in Christian education provides optimal stimulation for the cognitive, emotional-social, and spiritual development of young children, which forms the foundation for sustainable human development. This research emphasizes that Christian education for young children requires constant innovation and improvement through a holistic approach to effectively respond to the challenges of the times and fulfill the goals of sustainable development.

Abstract

Social emotional development is an important aspect that influences father's involvement in care in early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of father's involvement in parenting on the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years. The method in this study is quantitative. The sampling technique with purposive sampling is children aged 5-6 years. Respondents of this study amounted to 49 children aged 5-6 years at Betlehem Oesapa Barat Kindergarten, Kupang City. Data collection techniques in the form of a father's involvement scale in parenting and a social emotional development scale. The scale of father's involvement in parenting was developed by Hawkins et al, (2002) called Inventory of Father Involvement. The social emotional development scale was developed by Squires, Bricker and Twombly (2002) called the social emotional development scale. The data analysis technique was simple linear regression. The results of this finding found that father's involvement in parenting has a positive and significant effect on the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years with a contribution of 98%, which means that the better the father's involvement in parenting can improve the social emotional development of early childhood. It is expected that fathers establish a safe and comfortable relationship with children, understand the needs and characteristics of children that can affect mental health in early childhood social emotional development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak melalui permainan edukatif di TK GMIM Kasih Ibu Pinaras. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari Siklus I dan Siklus II, yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 17 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak selama proses pembelajaran, dengan pencapaian Siklus I hanya 62,3% dan Siklus II mencapai 90,2%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine effective learning strategies implemented through play-basedapproaches in early childhood education. The main issue addressed is how play activities canbe integrated into the learning process to enhance children's engagement and overalldevelopment. This descriptive qualitative research involved teachers and children aged 4–6years in an early childhood education setting. Data were collected through observation,interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that learning through play increaseschildren’s interest in learning, social skills, and cognitive abilities. Effective strategies includethe use of educational play tools, imagination-based activities, and the active role of teachers inguiding children during play. This research highlights the importance of teacher competence indesigning structured yet enjoyable play activities as a foundation for early learning.
