Abstract

This study addresses the increasing parenting stress experienced by parents since the Covid-19 pandemic and highlights the lack of research grounded in Islamic Psychology. The study focuses on developing a conceptual framework of parenting stress and formulating mental-health interventions derived from the Qur’an and Hadith. Using textual study and a hermeneutic approach, contemporary parenting literature was examined alongside interpretive analysis of relevant Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions to understand their meanings, relevance, and practical application to modern parenting contexts. The findings identify six major sources of parenting stress: responsibility demands, role conflict, economic pressure, children’s developmental and behavioral challenges, spiritual and religious concerns, and limited social support. These domains can be operationalized into measurable behavioral indicators. Proposed interventions include patience (sabr), prayer (shalat), perseverance (istiqamah), consultation and deliberation (musyawarah), and social caring, all grounded in faith through mindfulness of God, devotion, and obedience to divine guidance. The study concludes that integrating Qur’anic and Prophetic teachings within Islamic Psychology offers both conceptual clarity and practical strategies to reduce parenting stress and strengthen parental mental health. Further research is recommended to refine and empirically evaluate these interventions within parenting programs.

Abstract

Early adulthood is a crucial transitional phase faced with heavy developmental demands, where an individual's psychological well-being is often threatened by the long-term impact of past trauma in the form of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE). The focus of this research problem is to describe in depth the level of religiosity in early adults in Kupang City who have a history of adverse childhood experiences. The research steps were carried out through a quantitative descriptive approach involving 383 respondents aged 18 to 25 years as the research sample. Data were collected using the ACE Scale which covers 13 types of traumatic experiences and The Centrality of Religiosity Scale which measures five main dimensions of spirituality, then the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The quantitative research findings revealed that the majority of participants, namely 73.1%, were in the high to very high ACE category, while their religiosity profile also showed a very significant percentage in the high to very high category at 91.9%. The main conclusion of this study confirms that high exposure to adverse childhood experiences does not automatically reduce an individual's spiritual commitment. In the socio-cultural characteristics of the religious city of Kupang, religion remains a prominent identity and a source of coping for young adults to make sense of life despite their difficult past history, which also becomes an important basis for designing spirituality-based psychological interventions in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kontrol diri (self-control) dan Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) pada pemain game Honkai-Star Rail, khususnya dalam konteks sistem gacha. Mekanisme gacha dengan hadiah acak dan item terbatas waktu dapat memicu FoMO, yang kemudian menguji kemampuan kontrol diri pemain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Partisipan berjumlah 138 responden yang merupakan pemain Honkai-Star Rail minimal selama 6 bulan, berusia 18-45 tahun, dan berdomisili di Jabodetabek. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan secara daring menggunakan kuesioner Brief Self-control Scale (BSCS) dan Fear of Missing Out Scale. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Korelasi Spearman karena variabel FoMO tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara kontrol diri dan FoMO, dengan koefisien korelasi r=-.433 dan nilai signifikansi p=.00. Hasil ini mendukung hipotesis yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat kontrol diri pemain, semakin rendah tingkat FoMO yang mereka alami. Analisis data tambahan juga menemukan bahwa hubungan ini tidak dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh faktor demografi seperti usia, jenis kelamin, domisili, maupun lama bermain. Penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi peran kontrol diri sebagai faktor pelindung penting terhadap kecemasan FoMO dalam sistem gacha.

Abstract

The phenomenon of cyberbullying in Indonesia is not new. Cyberbullying has become a serious concern, especially among young adults who are active users of social media. Various forms of cyberbullying exist, such as negative comments, posts that harm others, and other forms of repeated bullying on social media. The conditions of young adulthood open up opportunities for moral justification or moral disengagement in negative behavior. The impact of moral disengagement is not limited to moral justification, but can be broader, leading to cyberbullying behavior that is considered normal. This study aims to determine the relationship between moral disengagement and the level of cyberbullying among young adults. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design and purposive sampling technique. There were 269 participants aged 18-25 years old who had engaged in cyberbullying and were active social media users. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using Google Forms via a digital platform. The research instruments used were the Cyberbullying Offending Scale (COS) and The Mechanism of Moral Disengagement Scale (MMDS). The results of the Spearman Rho correlation analysis showed a positive relationship between moral disengagement and the level of cyberbullying (r = 0.739, p < 0.001), which means that the higher the moral disengagement, the higher the level of cyberbullying. This study is useful for advancing the field of psychology, particularly regarding moral disengagement and cyberbullying, and is also beneficial for social media platform users in avoiding cyberbullying.

Abstract

Job stress is a common problem experienced by salespeople due to the demands of achieving targets, high workloads, and dynamic working conditions. This condition has the potential to affect the physical, psychological, and behavioral health of salespeople, thus impacting their performance and well-being. This study aims to describe and analyze the experiences of job stress experienced by salespeople, the factors causing stress, and its impact on daily work activities. The focus of the study is directed at physiological, psychological, and behavioral aspects in response to job stress. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants, accompanied by observation and documentation as supporting data. The data analysis process was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon under study. The research results show that work stress causes physical impacts such as fatigue, body aches, and minor health problems; psychological impacts such as anxiety, emotional instability, and decreased work motivation; and behavioral impacts seen in decreased concentration and work effectiveness. The main factors causing stress include pressure from sales targets, excessive workload, and limited rest time. The study's conclusions confirm that work stress in salespeople is multidimensional and requires organizational attention through workload management, adequate work support, and strategies to improve employee well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of diversity psychology in computer-based assessment to enhance fairness, effectiveness, and participant readiness in promotion and human resource development processes at PT Bukit Asam. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 25 participants selected through total sampling. The research instrument was a diversity psychology scale developed based on the Unified Diversity Theory (UDT), encompassing cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The validity test indicated that 69 out of 72 items were valid, while the reliability test yielded a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.751, indicating acceptable internal consistency. The results showed that the cognitive dimension was categorized as low, whereas the affective and conative dimensions were at a moderate level. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions, particularly in improving participants’ understanding of diversity and digital literacy. As a follow-up, this study developed an educational infographic to support participants in better understanding the assessment procedures and instructions. Overall, the integration of diversity psychology into the assessment center demonstrates strong potential to enhance objectivity, inclusiveness, and effectiveness in promotion and human resource development processes. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan psikologi keberagaman dalam asesmen berbasis komputer guna meningkatkan keadilan, efektivitas, serta kesiapan peserta dalam proses promosi dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia di PT Bukit Asam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 25 peserta melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala psikologi keberagaman yang disusun berdasarkan Unified Diversity Theory (UDT), yang mencakup dimensi kognitif, afektif, dan konatif. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa 69 dari 72 butir pernyataan dinyatakan valid, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menghasilkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,751 yang menunjukkan konsistensi internal yang memadai. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dimensi kognitif berada pada kategori rendah, sedangkan dimensi afektif dan konatif berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya intervensi yang berfokus pada peningkatan pemahaman keberagaman dan literasi digital peserta. Sebagai tindak lanjut, penelitian ini mengembangkan media infografis edukatif untuk membantu peserta memahami prosedur dan instruksi asesmen secara lebih efektif. Secara keseluruhan, integrasi psikologi keberagaman dalam asesmen center berpotensi meningkatkan objektivitas, inklusivitas, serta efektivitas dalam proses promosi dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is driven by the rising work expectations encountered by Generation Z employees, which may disturb the equilibrium between their careers and personal lives, leading to stress associated with work. This situation is a significant issue as it directly impacts the mental health of younger individuals within today’s work environment. The aim of this research is to investigate how work-life balance relates to job stress levels experienced by Generation Z employees in Surabaya. A quantitative methodology is utilized in this study, utilizing a survey technique and involving 385 participants chosen through a quota sampling approach. Information was gathered through psychological measurement tools that have demonstrated validity and reliability to evaluate both of the research variables. The information was subsequently examined through the application of descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analyses. The findings reveal a noteworthy inverse connection between work-life equilibrium and employment-related stress. This implies that an improved work-life balance correlates with diminished job stress for workers of Generation Z. These findings emphasize the vital role of managing work-life balance to improve the mental well-being of younger staff members. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya tuntutan pekerjaan yang dihadapi oleh pekerja Generasi Z, yang berpeluang mendistraksi keseimbangan diantara kehidupan kerja dan kehidupan pribadi serta menyebabkan munculnya stres kerja. Fenomena tersebut mempunyai atensi krusial lantaran berhubungan erat pada kondisi kesejahteraan psikologis pekerja muda di era kerja modern. Tujuan dari studi berikut ialah guna menganalisis keterkaitan antara keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan taraf stres yang dialami pekerja Gen Z di Surabaya. Metode yang diterapkan pada studi berikut ialah kuantitatif melalui cara menggunakan survei yang melibatkan 385 partisipan, yang dipilih melalui teknik quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui pemakaian alat ukur psikologis yang sudah sesuai pada syarat validitas dan reliabilitas guna menilai kedua variabel yang diteliti. Berikutnya, analisis data dilakukan dengan memakai statistik deskriptif dan pengujian korelasi Pearson. Temuan dari studi memperlihatkan terdapat korelasi signifikan dan negatif antara keseimbangan kerja-hidup dengan stres pekerjaan. Ini menunjukkan bahwasanya kian baik keseimbangan antara kehidupan kerja yang ada, akan kian rendah tingkat stres pekerjaan yang dirasakan pekerja Gen Z. Penemuan tersebut menegaskan bahwasanya pengelolaan keseimbangan kerja dan kehidupan begitu krusial dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan mental bagi pekerja muda.

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly regarding school readiness in providing curriculum, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, and building parental trust. Limited school readiness may influence parents’ social support for the implementation of inclusive education. This study aimed to examine the effect of school readiness on parents’ social support in implementing inclusive education policy in public elementary schools in Surabaya. This study used a quantitative approach with an associative design. The sample consisted of 143 parents whose children attended public elementary schools implementing inclusive education in Surabaya, selected using accidental sampling. The research instruments consisted of a school readiness scale covering curriculum, human resources, and facilities and infrastructure, and a parental social support scale covering emotional and instrumental support. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of JASP software. The results showed that school readiness had a positive and significant effect on parents’ social support, B = 0.315, β = 0.534, t = 7.506, p < 0.001. The R² value of 0.285 indicated that school readiness explained 28.5% of the variance in parents’ social support, while the remaining 71.5% was influenced by other factors outside the research model. This study concludes that the higher the level of school readiness, the higher the level of parents’ social support in implementing inclusive education. The implication of this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening school capacity, providing teacher training, developing inclusive facilities, and establishing effective communication with parents to support the successful implementation of inclusive education. ABSTRAK Implementasi pendidikan inklusi di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama terkait kesiapan sekolah dalam menyediakan kurikulum, sumber daya manusia, sarana-prasarana, serta membangun kepercayaan orang tua. Kesiapan sekolah yang belum optimal dapat memengaruhi dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kesiapan sekolah terhadap dukungan sosial orang tua dalam implementasi kebijakan inklusi di sekolah dasar negeri di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 143 orang tua yang memiliki anak di sekolah dasar negeri penyelenggara pendidikan inklusi di Surabaya dan dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas skala kesiapan sekolah yang mencakup aspek kurikulum, sumber daya manusia, serta sarana dan prasarana, serta skala dukungan sosial orang tua yang mencakup dukungan emosional dan instrumental. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan perangkat lunak JASP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap dukungan sosial orang tua, B = 0,315, β = 0,534, t = 7,506, p < 0,001. Nilai R² = 0,285 menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan sekolah menjelaskan 28,5% variasi dukungan sosial orang tua, sedangkan 71,5% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model penelitian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi kesiapan sekolah, semakin tinggi pula dukungan sosial orang tua dalam implementasi pendidikan inklusi. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas sekolah, pelatihan guru, penyediaan fasilitas inklusif, dan komunikasi efektif dengan orang tua untuk mendukung keberhasilan pendidikan inklusi.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has increased the use of online games among university students. This activity has the potential to affect students’ ability to manage time, control themselves, and complete academic responsibilities. However, studies examining the contribution of online gaming intensity to academic procrastination among students at private universities, particularly at Universitas Nasional Karangturi Semarang, remain limited. Therefore, this study is important to provide empirical evidence regarding the relationship between digital activities and students’ academic behavior. This study aimed to analyze the effect of online gaming intensity on academic procrastination among students at Universitas Nasional Karangturi Semarang. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 68 active students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an Online Gaming Intensity Scale and an Academic Procrastination Scale based on a Likert format and were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that online gaming intensity had a positive and significant effect on academic procrastination. These findings indicate that the higher the intensity of students in playing online games, the higher their tendency to delay completing academic tasks. Thus, online gaming intensity can be understood as one of the factors contributing to academic procrastination, although such behavior may also be influenced by other factors. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening self-regulation, time management, and digital literacy so that students are able to balance digital entertainment activities with academic responsibilities. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong meningkatnya penggunaan game online di kalangan mahasiswa. Aktivitas ini berpotensi memengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengatur waktu, mengendalikan diri, dan menyelesaikan tanggung jawab akademik. Namun, kajian mengenai kontribusi intensitas bermain game online terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa perguruan tinggi swasta, khususnya di Universitas Nasional Karangturi Semarang, masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran empiris mengenai hubungan antara aktivitas digital dan perilaku akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh intensitas bermain game online terhadap prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Universitas Nasional Karangturi Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 68 mahasiswa aktif yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala intensitas bermain game online dan skala prokrastinasi akademik berbasis Likert, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas bermain game online berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prokrastinasi akademik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas mahasiswa dalam bermain game online, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan mereka untuk menunda penyelesaian tugas akademik. Dengan demikian, intensitas bermain game online dapat dipahami sebagai salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap munculnya prokrastinasi akademik, meskipun perilaku tersebut juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) is increasingly used in higher education to help students understand complex materials, receive feedback, explore ideas, and complete academic tasks. Nevertheless, evidence on the role of GAI in students’ learning motivation remains fragmented and has not sufficiently explained the conditions under which GAI may strengthen or weaken motivation. This gap is important because learning motivation shapes students’ engagement, self-regulation, autonomous learning, and academic outcomes in technology-enhanced learning environments. This scoping review aimed to map empirical evidence on how GAI use relates to university students’ learning motivation. The review followed Arksey and O’Malley’s methodological framework and was reported according to PRISMA-ScR. Eligible studies were analyzed using narrative-thematic synthesis to identify patterns of findings, supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and research gaps. The thematic synthesis indicates that GAI may support learning motivation when it is used for conceptual exploration, feedback, personalized learning, and competence development. However, GAI does not automatically increase students’ learning motivation. Its effects depend on students’ self-efficacy, lecturer support, self-regulated learning, the quality of interaction and output generated by GAI, and the risk of technological dependence. These findings imply that higher education institutions should design GAI-supported learning activities that are guided, reflective, ethical, and oriented toward strengthening, rather than replacing, students’ thinking processes. ABSTRAK Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) semakin banyak digunakan dalam pendidikan tinggi sebagai alat bantu untuk memahami materi, memperoleh umpan balik, mengeksplorasi ide, dan menyelesaikan tugas akademik. Namun, bukti mengenai peran GAI terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa masih terfragmentasi dan belum menjelaskan secara memadai kondisi yang membuat GAI dapat memperkuat atau justru melemahkan motivasi belajar. Kesenjangan ini penting dikaji karena motivasi belajar berperan dalam menentukan keterlibatan, regulasi diri, kemandirian belajar, dan kualitas capaian akademik mahasiswa dalam lingkungan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan bukti ilmiah mengenai peran penggunaan GAI terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa melalui scoping review. Review ini menggunakan kerangka Arksey dan O’Malley serta dilaporkan dengan mengacu pada PRISMA-ScR. Artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis melalui sintesis naratif-tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola temuan, faktor pendukung, faktor penghambat, dan kesenjangan penelitian. Sintesis tematik menunjukkan bahwa GAI dapat mendukung motivasi belajar ketika digunakan untuk eksplorasi konsep, umpan balik, personalisasi pembelajaran, dan penguatan kompetensi. Namun, GAI tidak otomatis meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Dampaknya bergantung pada efikasi diri, dukungan dosen, regulasi diri, kualitas interaksi dan output GAI, serta risiko ketergantungan teknologi. Implikasinya, perguruan tinggi perlu merancang penggunaan GAI yang terarah, reflektif, dan etis agar teknologi ini memperkuat proses berpikir mahasiswa, bukan menggantikannya.
