Abstract

Indonesia is one of developing countries in the world. Developing countries usually face some common challenge that is economic crisis, the lack of education among poor communities, even environmental problems. Environmental problems could be depends on the geographic condition in every country, which such as draught, climate change problems, pollution, and the lack of clean water that considered being one of few main problems that exist in every developing country around the world, especially in Nanggerang village, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. The lack of water system and sanitation became a vital problem for Nanggerang village from a long time. This problem made quite impacts for Nanggerang village community in their daily life, economic and environmental condition. From the economic aspect, the efficiency and effectively of their efforts on getting clean water affect their daily expense and very time consuming. From the environment aspect, because the lack of clean water in almost every toilet in each houses in Nanggerang.Water Access Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) program which initiated by Nanggerang village community and DANONE Aqua with the help from YPCII (Yayasan Pembangunan Cintra Insan Indonesia), Departemen Pekerjaan Umum, and Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Sukabumi, has help Nanggerang Village to fight their water and sanitation problem. Based on the evaluation of the research and condition from Nanggerang village community, we can take a conclusion that the implementation of WASH program on Nanggerang village has become very successful.Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development, and Community Development

Abstract

Background: Hospital is a health institution carried out by professional workers including nurse. The presence of nurse to keep working is important to be maintained to provide best services for patients. In several private hospitals in Indonesia, nurse turnover rate is high which have range between 13-35%. Muhammadiyah Hospital Bandung is one of private hospital that has low nurse turnover rate which only 4.82%. Seeing the success of this hospital in applying the practice of retention to nurse, this research want to find out factors that affect to nurse retention in Muhammadiyah Hospital Bandung. Methods: This research distributed some questionnaire to 100 nurses for collecting the data. In analyzing the data it used factor analysis to find out factors that affect to nurse retention. Results: The data has been collected under 20 variables from 100 respondents. The result showed there are five factors that are new formed which have affect to nurse retention. Those factors are supportive environment, leader support, work task, work colleagues, and feeling involved. Conclusion: Based on these findings, those five factors that have affect with nurse retention in Muhammadiyah Hospital Bandung. Abstract

Abstract.The hospitality industry is one of industry that focuses on the quality of human resource. In order to provide the good service, the hospitality industry needs qualified human resources. This is because the hospitality industry fully oriented to customer’s satisfaction. The success of the hospitality industry can be seen from customer’s satisfaction through the services provided by the hotel. However, there is one problems faced by hospitality, there is the employee turnover. One of the hotels who experienced the employee turnover is ABC Hotel. The impact that felt because of the employee turnover are disrupting the operational of the hotel and also causing losses for the cost, time and a decrease in production and services. The questions and the purpose of this research is to determine the significant factors of the employee turnover at ABC Hotel. Referring to the concept of Santhanam et.al (2015). There are six factors about the employee turnover in hospitality industry. Those are recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, career growth opportunities, and salary & benefit. After determining the significant factors of the employee turnover at ABC Hotel, the purpose of this research is to reduce employee turnover at ABC Hotel. The researcher distributed the questionnaire to all employees of ABC Hotel and obtained 64 respondents. The results of the questionnaire collecting were processed by using binary logistic regression as a tool of data processing and analysis. Abstract

Seafood was one of the favourite consumption for Indonesian. Indonesia was the country with wide ocean teritory. It made Indonesian easy to make seafood for consumption. Seafood restaurant took part to deliver the best seafood that Indonesian needs. One of the seafood restaurants named D’Cost Seafood restaurant. D’Cost had more than fifty branches all over Indonesia. There were other seafood restaurants that compete with D’Cost. It was important for D’Cost Seafood to mantain their customers with their service quality, price, and product quality. It helped D’Cost improve customer satisfaction that correlated with customer engagement and customer satisfaction.Service quality was divided into five dimensions. Those were reliablity, assurance, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness. Those five would affect customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction was affected by service quality, price, and product quality. Customer satisfaction correlated with customer engagement and customer loyalty.Customers would give scores to D’Cost Seafood restaurant with the questionnaire. The questionnaire would be tested by validity and reliability test. Questionnaire result would give customers description and score about service quality, price, product quality, customer satisfaction, customer engagement, and customer loyalty. From the questionnaire result there would be the correlation between each variables. It also tested the importance of each statements that would be defined by importance performance analysis.D’Cost Seafood customers were dominated by 17-25 year old customers, bachelor degree customers, customers with Rp 1,000,000 to Rp 2,000,000 expenditures, Bandung customers, customers that friends became their references, and customers with price as a reasons. D’Cost customers satisfaction result indicated that customer satisfaction based on service quality, price, and product quality relatively high. It means customers feel satisfied enough with service quality, price, and product quality of D’Cost Seafood restaurants. The correlation between customer satisfaction, customer engagement, and customer loyalty also strong. It indicated strong correlation between each dimennsion. Abstract

Since 2010, the number of restaurants in Bandung has been growing. This makes the competition among restaurants potentially get more intense. Providing a good service to customers is very important for a restaurant that is in a very tight competition. Warung Pasta is one of the restaurants in Bandung that is in such competition. If Warung Pasta Bandung wants to succeed, it is necessary to provide quality service. The purpose of this research is to measure the service quality of Warung Pasta Bandung. One of the methods to measure service quality is the SERVQUAL method. There are five dimensions in SERVQUAL. With SERVQUAL method, the service quality of Warung Pasta Bandung is measured by calculating the difference between customers’ expectations and their perception (i.e. customer gap). By measuring the customer gap, it is possible to know the extent to which the customers are satisfied with the service provided by Warung Pasta Bandung. When the expectation score is higher than the perception score (i.e. negative gap), it means that the perceived service does not meet the customers’ expectations. But when the perception is higher than the expectation (i.e. positive gap), it means that the perceived service exceeds customers’ expectation. This research used survey to collect the data with the sample size of 280 respondents. Author also did pretest to 30 respondents in this research. Author used SPSS software to test the validity, reliability and also customer gap. The result shows that the gap for all dimensions is negative, indicating that the service at Warung Pasta Bandung does not seem to meet customers’ expectations.

Abstract

Abstract. Dividend payout policy is an important decision both for investor and corporation. There are several different theories and opinions related with dividend payout policy. Therefore, this research aims to find the determinant factors of dividend payout policy for firms engage in Indonesian property, real estate, and building construction sector. This research belongs to quantitative research. Panel data regression with fixed effect model as the approach is employed as the method to analyze the data. The sample consists of 18 companies from year 2013-2016 and taken using purposive sampling method. This research found that there is significant positive relationship between leverage and dividend payout ratio. All the independent variables also found simultaneously affect dividend payout ratio. The implication of this study is that leverage should be the factor that investors and the company should pay more attention related with the information of dividend payout policy of the company. Keywords:  Dividend payout ratio, firm size, leverage, liquidity,  regression analysis

Abstract

Abstract.The research is done based on the PT. Nutricia Indonesia Sejahtera, a company that produces a formula milk located in Ciracas, Jakarta Timur. Nowdays, formula milk has become a complementary nutrition in the community and even as a substitute for ASI (Air Susu Ibu). PT. Nutricia Indonesia Sejahtera produces milk that is not only for the baby but also pregnant women and toddler. Since we know that the formula milk is really needed for all people, knowing the amount of inventory level is a must for company. The company experienced some problems related to the inventory management. This research will be analyse about the stock policy in the PT. Nutricia Indonesia Sejahtera. The company has a problem with an overstock problem for the raw material in the inventory. The objectives of this research is overcome the overstock problem in the warehouse and minimize the cost production in order to provide solutions to the company issues. In this research the author focus on the local and import raw material data products, the methods that will be used in this research is using Cycle Counting and ABC Classification Analysis. In the other hand, this research also provide the comparison between company and author calculation in order to compare which methods that gives advantages to the company.  The calculation for this research will involve Safety Stock, Re-order Point, Economic order quantity, Average Inventory Level in Rupiah and ABC Classification Analysis. In the ABC Classification analysis, the author also provide how to maintain the product by each classification.Analysis will give an advantages for the company such as overcome the overstock problem in the inventory and minimize the cost that have to be spend in one month. The author calculation and analysis is for import and local product. After calculate the data using Cycle Counting method, the author also calculate the ABC Classification Analysis to separate which product that is need more attention and maintenance. Knowing each classification by using ABC Classification will also reduce the cost that have to spend in one month, because the company will know which the product that has an expensive cost and lower cost, the author also provide how to keep the quality of each raw material based on their classification.Keywords : PT. Abstract

Abstract. This paper aims to describe the application of Value stream mapping to identify the time in the barecore product realization process in PT.XYZ. In addition to identifying time, value stream mapping can discover some wastes that occur in the product realization process. The waste found is made as the basis for maintenance. This study was conducted with several stages. The first stage is to conduct current mapping to depict the actual conditions in the product realization process. The second phase is to analyze current value stream mapping with the data demand 40 container in September utill November. It is found that there is difference in the execution time of the process, so the waste that causes it and how to solve the problem will be analised. The future state mapping is the last step in this study, and it is found in this step that there is time reduction in the barecore product realization process. The use of value stream mapping application in this study managed to finding wastes that occur in the barecore product realization process. Waiting time are the processes by which all the divisions in the product realization process experience. Objective to find solution for eliminating waste. This study found a solution that can reduce waste. The email that will be used in the process of reporting documents. A system of electronic signature that will accelerate the process which requires ratification documents needed. Reporting is a multiplication reporting system, where the presence of this multiplication system will make the fulfillment of some process completed rapidly. The Follow-up process is one of the alternatives process of company that is always waiting for the requested process comes into its own. So with the minimum limit of the follow-up, it will accelerate the next process to be done. Future value stream mapping that is created reduces the use of time that occurs within the product realization process. It is observed, in the process of product realization with demand 40 container could reduce the time by 0.58 days. Keyword: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Mapping, Lean, Waste.

Abstract

Abstract-Rapidly changing environment requires organizations to respond quickly to these changes in order to remain in the global competition. Organizations often have to change the structure and form of organization in order to respond the environmental changes as well as internal and external pressures. In despite of pressures from internal and external environment, companies must focused on motivating their employees. With the aim of motivating their employees, the company delivers benefit to their employees. Somehow, the benefit from the company not in accordance with employee values and needs. This phenomena trigger the intention to quit from the company or employee turnover. PT. Melati is now one of the biggest National oil and gas companies in Indonesia. Of course this can not be separated from the role of employees is very important to manage and promote the company. In this situation, keep employees in order to stay motivated to work is a must for PT. Melati. There are four major factors according to the theories and exit interview, salary, advancement opportunities (career development), company benefit and job challenge. Four factors are of particular interest to understand and analyze by the writers to prove the corellation with the increase in the employee turnover rate PT. Melati. In the research, the methodology used is the quantitative methods that will give a general view about the influence of motivation with employee turnover. Questionnaire will distribute to the employee and processed by SPSS v.18. Once done with quantitative method by using SPSS program version 1.8, it can be concluded that there are two factors that affect the motivation of employee turnover and two factor motivation that have no effect on employee turnover in the case of organization of PT. Melati. Variable salary and career development are two of the most variable influenced on employee turnover. Two variables are the two main factors that affect employee turnover at PT. Melati. Abstract

Abstract.The problem of cassava waste generates aesthetics disruption, health disruption, and also fungi and bacteria, oxygen depletion, and the death of aquatic creatures or biotic life disruption. Besides, the company will lose economic value because they can’t handle it well. Circular economy is an appropriate concept to solve the problem of waste which one of the objective is to generate economic value. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the concept is implemented and also how much economic value can be generated from all cassava waste. The result shows that the implementation of concept in the company has several steps are waste collection refers to all cassava waste were identified will be gathered by the company as raw material that used to produce value-added product, analysis of value-added products aims to find out what products can be made with its economic value, product creation refers to an activity of producing identified value-added product which means there has been the availability of the product. and collaborate with farmers where the company will offer their value-added product to farmers in order to generate benefit by purchasing the product or reselling it to the consumers. Besides, economic value that the company can gain from all cassava waste is Rp98,983,400 per month.Keywords: cassava waste, circular economy, economical value, fermeted-cassava, value-added product
