Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of social experience, seductive experience, and recreational experience on mall visitor loyalty which is mediated by visitor satisfaction. This type of research is descriptive research with the research population being Indonesian citizens and 100 respondents were obtained through a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling with criteria (they are Indonesian citizens who come from one of the regions in Java: Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta 2). Have visited the mall in their area at least once. The data analysis technique used in this research is PLS (partial least squares) and from the results of data analysis it is found that social experience and visitor satisfaction partially have a positive influence on visitor loyalty, seductive experience and recreational experience partially have no effect on mall visitor loyalty. Visitor satisfaction can mediate the influence of social experience on mall visitor loyalty, but is unable to partially mediate seductive experience and recreational experience on mall visitor loyalty.

Abstract

Many aspects have been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 epidemic and the new normal conditions that accompany it. Various innovations in public services follow these changes and become new models for adapting to uncertain times. It is hoped that the availability of digital technology platforms will provide a shortcut and ease in accessing public services as well as efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. One of them is Malaysia and the Indonesian government which use the MySejahtera and PeduliLindungi application systems. In Indonesia and Malaysia, the COVID-19 epidemic has had a significant impact on the adoption of online digital health applications. This research methodology, also referred to as library research, combines qualitative research techniques with a library study approach. SatuSehat in Indonesia continues to operate nationally covering all regions of the country after the pandemic with new features that have been developed from the previous PeduliLindungi. On the other hand, the use of MySejahtera in Malaysia is currently only intended for people who have been verified as positive for Covid-19, which is used to update the quarantine period.

Abstract

This research reveals the significant role of Instagram social media in creating the hyperreality of Mie Gacoan through the foodstagramming phenomenon. With the significant growth of Instagram users, especially in Indonesia, this platform has become the main platform for foodies to capture and share their culinary experiences. The foodstagramming trend, especially related to Mie Gacoan, shows how food photos uploaded on social media can create certain hopes and expectations for the restaurant. In the era of hyperreality, food prioritizes appearance over taste, creating a false reality conveyed through information technology. With the influence of foodies as “creators of reality,” Instagram has become a powerful communication tool, changing the way society views and consumes food. This research highlights the complexity of the interaction between social media, hyperreality, and culinary trends developing in the digital era.

Abstract

The Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) has an important role in maintaining democracy in Indonesia, one of which is through resolving election disputes. This research aims to analyze the factors that hinder the resolution of election disputes within the authority of Bawaslu. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Research data was obtained through in-depth interviews with key informants, namely Bawaslu members, academics and election law practitioners. The research results show that there are several factors that hinder the resolution of election disputes within Bawaslu's authority, namely: Time limitations: Election process disputes must be resolved quickly, so Bawaslu is often pressed for time; Limited human resources: Bawaslu lacks competent human resources in handling disputes, especially at the regional level; Budget limitations: Bawaslu's budget is often insufficient for dispute resolution needs, such as court and witness costs; Lack of coordination: Coordination between institutions regarding election dispute resolution still needs to be improved; Dispute complexity: Election disputes are often complex and involve many parties, so they require a lot of time and effort to resolve.

Abstract

Adolescents, even those in junior high school, have incorporated social media into their daily routines, making it an essential component of their lives. The objective of this study is to examine how social media influences the adoption of pro-environmental behavior among junior high school students in Bandung Regency, Indonesia, by mediating their pro-environmental knowledge and attitudes. This study employs quantitative methodologies via a survey-based approach. We administered questionnaires to a sample of 300 junior high school students in Bandung Regency to collect data. The questionnaire encompasses inquiries on social media use, pro-environmental knowledge, pro-environmental attitudes, and pro-environmental conduct. The research findings indicate that social media exerts a beneficial influence on the pro-environmental conduct of junior high school pupils. The statistically significant positive correlation coefficient (r = 0.35, p < 0.01) supports the connection between the usage of social media and pro-environmental behavior. Pro-environmental knowledge and attitudes influence the connection between social media use and pro-environmental behavior, as revealed by mediation analysis. Consequently, social media enhances students' understanding and beliefs about the environment, thereby motivating them to engage in environmentally friendly actions. The findings of this study demonstrate that social media can serve as a potent instrument for promoting pro-environmental conduct among adolescents in junior high school.

Abstract

Natural disasters pose a significant peril to the Indonesian community, especially the Bandung Regency. Due to the significant likelihood of calamities, it is crucial to enhance public consciousness, particularly among adolescents in junior high school, regarding the perils associated with natural catastrophes. The objective of this study is to examine the obstacles and possibilities of enhancing knowledge of natural disaster risks among middle school students in Bandung Regency. This study employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing a case study technique. The researchers gathered primary data by conducting interviews with junior high school students, instructors, and relevant stakeholders, in addition to making field observations. The research findings indicate that there are multiple obstacles to enhancing the level of awareness among junior high school students regarding the perils associated with natural disasters. These challenges encompass a deficiency in knowledge and comprehension concerning the hazards posed by natural disasters, limited availability of information and educational resources pertaining to disasters, indifference and a lack of concern towards natural disasters, as well as a dearth of proactive involvement from both educational institutions and parents. Nevertheless, this study has identified various avenues for enhancing the knowledge of junior high school students regarding the perils associated with natural calamities. These include incorporating disaster education into the school syllabus, employing information and communication technology (ICT) to disseminate information and educate about disasters, engaging students in simulation exercises and disaster response activities, and reinforcing the involvement of families and communities in fostering a culture of disaster awareness. Enhancing the knowledge and understanding of the potential hazards associated with natural disasters among junior high school students is a crucial measure to foster community resilience in the face of future calamities.

Abstract

Young children (5-6 years old) are building strong foundations in language and music. Their phonemic awareness is developing, allowing them to identify and manipulate sounds in words. Vocabulary is rapidly expanding, with children learning new words and their meanings. Musical abilities are blossoming, with many children enjoying singing, keeping rhythm, and exploring instruments. However, there can be variations in these skills, and even gender differences in performance on some tasks. This study investigated the phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and musical abilities of 5-6-year-old children. We explored potential correlations between these domains and any gender differences in performance. Forty children (20 girls and 20 boys) from three kindergartens (two urban, one rural) were tested in June 2022. Three assessments were employed: Eľkonin's test of phonemic awareness, COWAT speech fluency test (vocabulary), and Bentley's test of musical abilities. Pearson's correlation coefficient analyzed relationships between the tests. A positive correlation was found between all three tests, suggesting potential links between phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and musical abilities. Interestingly, girls outperformed boys significantly in both Eľkonin's and Bentley's tests. Within Eľkonin's test, children achieved the highest scores in syllable synthesis (subtest No. 4) and the lowest scores in syllable deletion (subtest No. 10). This study suggests a connection between phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and musical abilities in young children. Additionally, it highlights potential gender differences in specific aspects of these domains. Further research is needed to explore the cause of these findings and their implications for early childhood education.
