Abstract

Has conducted research for a hand out submateri biotechnology high school students basedon plant tissue culture research Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa). The study includes two phases, namely: (1) Experiments to produce callus tissue culture experiments using completelyrandomized design (CRD) factorial. The first factor is the level of NAA treatment that is 0, 1,1.5, 2 and 3 mg/l. The second factor is the level of BAP treatment with 0, 0.5, 1, and 1.5mg/l. Each treatment was repeated 3 times; (2) Preparation of handouts from the research as asource of learning the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, andEvaluation).Parameters measured were the percentage of growing explants, while appearingcallus and callus texture. Analysis of data growing percentage of explants with advancedANOVA and DMRT test at 5% level, while the current and emerging callus texturedescriptively. In a growing percentage of explants parameter combination treatment showed apercentage of 100 % are in treatment A 0 B 1,5 , A 1 B 0,5 - A 3 B 1,5 . For the current parametersappear callus treatment best combination found in treatment A 3 B 1,5 with a mean time of 2HSK appear callus (days after culture) and for the texture parameters of combinationtreatment showed callus crumb texture and white color found in treatment A 2 B 0,5 - A 3 B 1,5 , theresearch on callus growth can be used as a learning resource in the form of handouts for highschool level studentsKeywords : Handout, Tanaman Rosella, Kultur kalus, Hormon NAA dan BAP

Abstract

At current, the Covid-19 pandemic is a global health threat with confirmed cases and high mortality. WHO declared this outbreak a global pandemic because the transmission of this virus was very fast and most countries in the world also  exposed to it. Recent data updating the number of confirmed patients worldwide is 23,491,520 positive cases. Indonesia is one of the countries that has been exposed to this virus  the beginning of March until now on 25 August 2020, there were 157,859 confirmed cases spread across 34 provinces and 415 districts / cities. The purpose of this study was to identify the impact the teachers, students and parents felt during the Covid 19 pandemic during the implementation of online learning. This study used a method descriptive analysis content. This method is used to describe some information about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on implementing online learning. The results of this study are the impact on teacher performance, that is, the loss of teacher motivation in teaching and there are teachers who do not understand use of electronic devices, the impact on the learning process is that students are not familiar with the distance learning process,Impact on parents as student guardians is issue between students and teachers and economic conditions can affect the learning process of the students.  In the midst of this pandemic, parents are very influential in children's development, such as trying to create a supportive environment to motivate children in learning with these different situations, and the government is expected to participate in embracing the complaints and needs of children in learning, for example internet quotas. Hopefully with joint efforts, the pandemic will end quickly and we can return to building a pleasant situation better than before.

Abstract

The ex-situ experimental research on root growth of rubber (Hevea brasiliensis Mull. Arg. clone PB 260) cultivated in ex-mining bauxite soil byapplication of organic manure has been carried out at Natural Biology Education Laboratory University of Riau during January to June 2013. The purpose of this research was looked for a kind and mixture organic manure ratio to the ex -mining bauxite soil that gave the best root growth. The chicken and cow manure were used as source of organic matter in this single faktor experiment. Three ratios of organic manure : ex-mining bauxite soil (w/w) has been applied i.e control (exmining bauxite soil only), (1:1), and (1:2) were arranged according to Complete Randomize Design. The parameters that observed were root volume, wet weight of root, dry weight of root, shoot : root ratio. The data were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA and advance test by using Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) in level of 5%. The results show that the mixture ratio 1:2 of cow organic manure and ex-mining bauxite soil gave the best root growth of rubber clone PB 260, particularly root volume (24,8 cm3), wet weight of root (24,2 g), dry weight of root (5,6 g) and shoot : root ratio (19,1 g). In conclusion, the mixture ratio 1:2 of cow manure and ex-mining bauxite is recommended for reclaiming bauxite ex-mining land by planting rubber plant PB 260 in term of root growth. Keywords : chicken and cow organic manure, ex-mining bauxite soil, Hevea brasiliensis Mull. The research was conducted in January 2011. The sample in the study were students in grade XI IA as many as 41 people consisting of 31 students are female and 10 male students. Parameters of learning activities and research is the scientific attitude of students in the learning process. Results showed an average activity of student learning as very good. The average score of the activity obtained at a meeting I amounting to 60.36% (poor category), II meeting at 71.54% (category enough). While the average attendance of 80.08% III (both categories), and IV meeting at 85.46% (very good category). The average scientific attitude of students at a meeting I of 55.28% (korigori less good), at the second meeting at 70.96% (both categories), the third meeting of 77.23% (both categories), and at the IV meeting at 87.33% (category very good). From the results of this study can be concluded that students assess GGE very good learning strategies to be applied to learning Biology because it can increase the activity of learning and scientific attitude of students. Keywords: Learning Activities, GGE Strategy, Student Scientific Attitude

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using flip chart on students' scientific literacy on environmental pollution material. This development research used ADDIE model. This research was carried out until the development phase. The flip chart that have been produced validated by using validation sheets by 4 validators who expert on media and material, then tested on 20 grade VIII junior high school student. The data of Students’ responses about flip chart were collected by using a questionnaire and students’ science literacy were collected by using multiple choice test. The results of the research indicated that Flip Chart was valid with score 88,3% (very valid) in material and 87,5% (very valid) in media. The result of this result also indicated that there was an increase in the mean score of pre-test and post-test from 62 (low) to 81 (high). It illustrated that there was a strengthening of science literacy on the competence to explain phenomena scientifically from 61.25% (low) to 87.5% (very high), the competence to design and evaluate scientific enquiry from 53.75% (low) to 71.25% (enough), and the competence to interpret data and evidence scientifically from 80% (high) to 87.5% (very high). This result was supported by student questionnaires when using flip chart, which is 88.1, it shows that flip charts can be used as a means of strengthening student scientific literacy.
