Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of LKS based on Guided Discovery Learning for class IX students of SMP. The research method used is development research, consisting of a preliminary research phase, a prototype phase, and an assessment phase. The subjects in this study were class IX students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang, totalling 32 students. The prototype in the form of worksheets in this study was validated by media, material and language experts. Based on the validation results of the experts, it was stated that the LKS prototype was valid. The second prototype (LKS) was tested for practicality through the small group test and obtained 93.33%, which was categorized as practical. A field test was carried out to see the potential effect of the developed LKS and obtained an average student final score of 80.96. The result shows that the worksheets developed and tested are categorized as very good. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the student worksheets based on guided discovery learning that have been developed are valid, practical and have a potential effect on student learning outcomes

Abstract

Mathematics materials in elementary schools generally contain all basic knowledge about mathematics lessons at the school level. Counting operations are the initial concepts of mathematics that must be instilled in students. Division is one of the four main arithmetic operations whose concepts must be mastered by students as a way to maximize mathematical literacy skills at a further level. This study aims to produce a prototype 1 teaching material on multiplication material for grade II elementary school students who are taught thematically. Teaching materials are arranged using the theme of the city of Palembang which is close to the lives of students. This research is an early stage of development research. The research subjects were students of class II MI Hijriah II Palembang. The process of developing teaching materials is the preliminary stage, and the prototyping stage. Teaching materials are developed at the preliminary stage, namely the preparation of concepts that have not been mastered by students, planning on the basis of concepts that are still not mastered by students, determining competency standards, basic competencies, indicators, syllabus, lesson plans, determining the elements of teaching materials, collecting materials, compiling draft materials teach, test one to one and expert review. From the design of this prototype, the first prototype of teaching materials for integer arithmetic operations was produced for class II Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Palembang in the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of class VII U3 as the experimental class and VII U2 as the control class. After learning using the drill method based on the Kahoot application, the average value is  and the standard deviation is S1=14,8165. While learning using the drill method without the Kahoot application, the average value is  and the standard deviation is . Based on the criteria for testing the hypothesis, the value of  and  means that  is in the rejection area of Ho, which means Ha is accepted. Thus the hypothesis which states "There is a significant effect of the drill method based on the kahoot application on the mathematics learning outcomes of students with integer operations in class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Palembang.", is accepted as true

Abstract

The objective of this study is to create educational materials based learning valid and practical for both SPLDV material study in junior high and to identify the potential effect of LKS that has developed. The methods of research used development research. The development of this LKS was based on two phases of expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test. Based on the results of this research obtained a valid and practical LKS. These are valid according to the expert assessment (validator) that the well developed LKS, based on material (content aspects, feature worthiness and PBL assessments), language (aspect of language worthiness) and media/appearance LKS (aspect of literacy include LKS size, cover design, and LKS content design). It was pratical seen from a small group tryouts where students can use LKS easily and can be seen from the student response rate. Potential effects judging by the student study results. The results of analysis of the data done came to an average of 80.14 which meant that student study was “very good” category, which showed that their use of LKS mathematical PBL student  developed had a potential effect.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Palembang on the subject of circumference and area of flat shapes are still relatively low. This is because the learning carried out by educators is only focused on existing learning resources without using media that can help students understand the concept of perimeter and area of a rectangle so that students easily forget and find it difficult to complete the application of these concepts. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the application of learning that is able to improve learning outcomes and understanding of concepts for students. One solution to this problem is to apply the learning of the concept of perimeter and area of a rectangle through the media of concrete objects. From the results of this study, it was concluded that learning the concept of perimeter and area of a rectangle through the media of concrete objects could improve the learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Palembang.

Abstract

Mathematical connection ability is a requirement that elementary school students must have in the learning process. But in reality there are still many students who do not have and have not hone this ability well. Elementary school students often make mistakes in solving math problems, especially about mathematical connections between math topics. There are different types of errors and the causes of these problems can occur. Therefore, an analysis of these errors is very important to do in order to see the root of the problem and find solutions that can be done. In this study, data were obtained from student answer sheets from written tests and information obtained from interviews with students in class V as many as 20 people. The research itself is in the form of qualitative descriptive research. From the results of the analysis, it can be summarized that there were several mistakes made by students including students who did not understand the context of the problem, misinterpreted the questions, made mistakes in mathematical modeling, the ability to present material and information from questions that were not good. This information is important as input for making improvements to the next teaching pattern.

Abstract

This study aims to produce android-based interactive learning media for data presentation material in class VII Junior High School that is valid, practical and has a potential effect on student learning outcomes. The research used is development research (Development Research). The subjects in this study were 7th graders of SMP XX in Palembang, totaling 35 students. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the media developed was valid, practical and had a potential effect. Validity can be seen from the results of the assessment of experts (material, media, and language) who get an accumulated score of 155 from a maximum score of 168 with a percentage result of 92.26%. In the one to one stage, it was also declared valid as seen from the results of the questionnaire where a score of 52 was obtained from the maximum score of 60 with a percentage of 86.66%. The practicality of the learning media that has been developed is seen from the trials at the small group stage with a score of 286 from the maximum score of 300 with a percentage result of 95.33% and it can be categorized that the media developed is practical. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out that the average final score of students is 72.85, which means that student learning outcomes are classified as good, it can be concluded that interactive learning media has been developed to have a potential effect on student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the ability to understand concepts of students who receive mathematics learning using the guided discovery method at SMA Negeri 14 Palembang is greater than the KKM score. The research methodology used is a quasi-experimental method with a one-shot case study design. Class X.2, which consisted of 40 students, was selected as the sample in this study. While the technique in data collection is a written test in the form of an essay. The test questions used in this study refer to indicators that have been set, namely indicators of problem solving abilities. The data analysis technique used t-test. Based on the results of the analysis of the test data, it was obtained that tcount = 2.196 and ttable = 1.683, so it can be concluded that the concept understanding ability of students who received mathematics learning using the guided discovery method at SMA Negeri 14 Palembang was greater than the KKM score

Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning outcomes in the material of straight line equations through the expository learning model for class VIII in SMP Negeri X and describe students' responses to the expository model in the mathematics learning process for the material on straight-line equations for class VIII in SMP Negeri X. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles. The number of subject was 29 students. The data obtained in this study through test results and student observation sheets taken at each cycle. Based on the results of the study, the data obtained in the first cycle the number of students who met the minimum completeness criteria > 75 totaled 21 people with a percentage of 72.91% and 8 students who did not meet the minimum completeness criteria of < 75 with a percentage of 27.09%. In the second cycle, there were 24 students who met the minimum completeness criteria 75 with a percentage of 82.75% and 5 students who did not meet the minimum completeness criteria <75 with a percentage of 17.25%, which means that student learning outcomes in the second cycle have reached the indicators of success. Thus, it can be concluded that learning by using the expository method on the area of straight line equations can improve student learning outcomes for class VIII SMP Negeri X.
