Abstract

Learning style refers to a student's preferences in obtaining and processing information, whether through sight, hearing, or physical movement. Meanwhile, the Multiple Intelligences learning approach is a learning approach that combines various aspects of learning, including combining several learning styles in the learning process. This research aims to determine the relationship between students' learning styles and Multiple Intelligences learning approaches on learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. The learning styles observed in this research are visual learning style, auditory learning style, and kinesthetic learning style. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis, where data is collected through learning style questionnaires filled out by students and the results of the students' Mid-Semester Exams. The collected data was then analyzed to see the relationship between learning styles and students' Multiple Intelligences approach. Based on the results of data analysis in two schools, it was found that students at SMP Negeri 5 Panukal were dominated by a visual learning style while students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang were dominated by an auditory learning style. Meanwhile, students' learning outcomes at these schools are not dominated by certain learning styles. In conclusion, student learning styles have an influence on learning outcomes in mathematics subjects. Students with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles have good learning outcomes. However, students' ability to combine their learning styles has a better impact on their learning outcomes. Therefore, educators need to understand the importance of Multiple Intelligence in the learning process and adapt appropriate learning methods to improve their learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning capacity of students with special needs must be maximized in learning mathematics in SLB in an efficient and inclusive way. Think pair share, a cooperative learning strategy that promotes collaboration, active involvement, and contact between students, is one strategy that can be applied. In this study, we will examine how think-pair-share cooperative learning is used to teach mathematics in special schools and how it affects student learning outcomes. By using literature study methodology, this research method is qualitative. Reading and categorizing books and various scientific journal articles is a data collection method. The results of the study indicate that there is a beneficial effect of exposure to cooperative learning based on think pair share on student learning outcomes in special schools. Through collaboration in groups, students with special needs can support each other and gain a better understanding of mathematics. cooperative learning type think pair share also increases student participation in the learning process, develops individual thinking power, and increases their self-confidence. The application of cooperative learning-based mathematics learning techniques of the think pair share type requires the active role of the teacher as a facilitator and learning director. Teachers need to plan activities according to students' needs, provide appropriate support, and manage interactions between students. In order for the learning process to be successful, it is also crucial to pay attention to the qualities of study groups. This study significantly advances inclusive mathematics teaching strategies in special education settings. The results of this study are supposed to serve as a guide for math educators and teachers as they develop and implement engaging and effective math programs for students with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of high school students in solving HOTS-type questions in terms of initial abilities. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were three students of class X consisting of 1 high-ability student, 1 medium-ability student, and 1 low-ability student. Collecting data or information in this study using written tests and interviews. The written test was conducted twice, namely the initial ability test and the problem-solving test. The instrument used was a validated test and interview guide. The result of this study is that students who have high abilities turn out to have similarities with students who have moderate abilities, which are only able to solve problem number 1 with an analytical level (C4) even though they use different methods of solving. While students who have low abilities are not able to respond to the three questions correctly. In general, the ability of SMA Negeri 1 Baureno students in solving HOTS category questions is still below average. This is because they are not used to working on HOTS category questions at school. So far, teachers only give ordinary questions found in textbooks or worksheets.

Abstract

This  research  began  by  finding  that  students  lack  mathematical  problem-solving, critical thinking, and curiosity skills, due to their difficulty applying mathematical principles in real-world situations. They have difficulty applying what they have learned in real life, thus limiting their ability to solve math difficulties. Learner Worksheets (LKPD) are not designed to allow learners to actively develop their own understanding. The purpose of this study is to develop authentic, practical, and successful LKPD using CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) approach to increase students' participation in problem solving in grade V elementary school. This research follows Plomp's development paradigm, which consists of three stages: initial investigation, prototype development, and assessment. The result of this research is a validated, practical, and effective mathematics LKPD with CTL method to be used in grade V elementary school

Abstract

Some of the mistakes made by students when working on math problems in square numbers included misapplied material concepts and not being careful in the calculation process which resulted in wrong final results. This study aims to provide alternative solutions in calculating square numbers. In addition, this research required an understanding of previously studied mathematical concepts. By used the literature study method, namely the method of collected data by understood and studied theories from various literature related to research. The results of the study obtained an alternative formulation of three- digit square numbers. Let's say ABC is any squared of any three-digit number. Then by multiplyied the usual stacked, we got the result that ABC²= A²2AB2AC+B²2ABC² regreded the five positions that are underlined, the operations started from the last and last order to the front. If the position operation results in a number of more than one digit, then the number with the last digit is used in that position, while the remaining digits are added with the position operation in front of it. Until the position operation ends at the forefront. As a result of applied this method requires understood the concept of the operation and memorization in applied the method

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTs. Al-Hidayah. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, in which the sample was taken with certain considerations. Then it was found that class VII A had 28 students as the experimental class and class VII B had 28 students as the control class. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental (quasi experiment research) with a nonequivalent group design type. The research design at this time used was to provide a pretest and also a posttest in the experimental class and control class. The research instrument used was a test of mathematical reasoning abilities on students, amounting to 5 questions in the description of which the instrument had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the t-test on the posttest data of the experimental class that have been carried out with a significant level of 5% are obtained by the price of t_ (count)> t table (2.4892> 2.0048) so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an effect of mathematical reasoning ability between students who are given the PBL learning model with those given the conventional learning model. Meanwhile, to determine the effect size of 0.67 with the classification of medium or medium. So it can be concluded that the PBL learning model has an influence on students' mathematical reasoning abilities
