Abstract

SKJ faces several problems related to human capital and there is a mismatch between the work standards set by the company and the objectives that must be achieved. The focus for this case is primarily internal and sometimes influenced by external circumstances (ex: competitors). Current human resources have different skills and are generally unable to do other jobs. This condition occurs in the production section, where workers in the company are required to be able to use not just one tool but all of them. For example, the dough cutting section must understand how to use a seasoning machine. Therefore, this study aims to present a Proposed Problem-Solving Method and Implementation at PT. SKJ to maximize the potential of PT. SKJ in the future. Using fishbone analysis, the Marketing model presented by McKinsey is more familiarly called 7S and schedule management helps to provide the following solutions: (1) prioritize the process of planning, implementing, and evaluating policies in an accurate and periodically determined manner so that they are more organized for all layers including from the perspective of the owner and employees, (2) optimizing human resources by instilling the company's vision and mission for character building for those involved in the company, (3) provide apparent problem solving for work time and payroll processes in order to be profitable and will not cause confuse, and (4) providing a good understanding of the product and encouraging employees to provide input regarding product innovation based on market conditions and existing competitors.

Abstract

Smoking is not a cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation. Smoking is a habit that begins in adolescence. WHO data confirms that adolescents have a high tendency to smoke. Initially, smokers were under the age of 18, around 7.2 percent in 2013 and increased to 9.1 percent in 2018. Teenage students are more likely to smoke than adults. It is believed that 1 in 4 drug addicts started as addicted to cigarettes. In contrast, 90 percent of them started being addicted to drugs when they were 18. Because the brain is still developing until the age of 25, if, at that time, the brain was familiar with nicotine, cigarettes would be a gateway to addiction to other compounds, especially alcohol and illegal drugs. This qualitative descriptive study aims to determine what causes cigarette addicts to become drug addicts. The study results show that many factors cause a common thread between cigarette addicts and drug addicts, starting with the desire to try, pressure from peer groups or peer groups, being trapped and eventually falling into drug abuse. The low price during the massive promotion of cigarettes by sponsoring various school activities is considered a supporting factor.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the direct relationships between corporate image, employee engagement, organizational culture, employee loyalty, and business performance among private business organizations. This study is vital to be carried out because many private organizations face difficulty to maintain their business performance in the coming years. The research model of this study consists of three independent variables: corporate image, employee engagement, organizational culture, employee loyalty as a mediator, and business performance as a dependent variable. Primary data were utilized in this study and a survey questionnaire which was adopted and adapted from previous studies was used for data collection. 329 clean data were used in the data analysis by utilizing the structural equation modeling technique. Initially, the convergent validity was evaluated on the measurement model by assessing the construct reliability and validity. Then, the discriminant validity was assessed and confirmed through cross-loading and Hetrotrait-Monotrait (HTMT) ratios. Subsequently, the structural model was assessed and the hypotheses testing reveals that corporate image, employee engagement, and organizational culture, have a positive and significant influence on employee loyalty and business performance was strongly affected by employee loyalty.

Abstract

The amendments made to the 1945 Constitution (UUD 1945) clearly provide protection for human rights. Children's rights are explicitly stipulated in Article 28B of the 1945 Constitution. This is a right of protection that must be guaranteed by the state in the state process. Although the 1945 Constitution as a result of the amendments has regulated the norms for the protection of children's rights, the 1945 Constitution has not fully accommodated the norms and principles of children's rights which are the spirit of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Two of the 4 principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, namely: (i) the principle of the best interests of the child and (ii) the principle of respecting the views of the child has not been accommodated in the 1945 Constitution. Thus, the principle of the best interests of the child and the principle of respecting the views of the child have not yet become constitutional norms.

Abstract

The hemodialysis unit manager must be able to ensure that the high-quality services are provided to ensure patient outcomes. Several previous studies have shown that nurse staffing is one of the components that needs to be considered to improve patient outcomes, but this has not been specifically proven in hemodialysis units. The study aims to determine the effect of nurse staffing and patient outcomes in hemodialysis units. This research is a literature review where the process of article searches is carried out through the Pubmed, Emerald, Science direct and Google Scholar electronic databases using certain some keyword combinations in articles published from 2012-2022. The review process used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, and three research articles were analyzed. Results of study show that there is no significant relationship between the ratio of patient to nurses with various patient outcomes in assessed from the Standardized Hospitalization Ratio (SHR), Standardized Mortality Rate (SMR) and Standardized Readmission Ratio (SRR). Moreover, this study provides no evidence that the ratio of patients to nurses affects patient outcomes. Comparative studies with clear staffing parameters are needed to prove this issue.
