Abstract

Leadership is indeed a classic topic of discussion, it is very old, but it is still very interesting to discuss because it determines the continuity of an organization. Leaders are the most important element in the general management process. Whether or not the results achieved by an organization are determined by the ability of a leader in carrying out their duties. Leadership is the key to moving a community, business and other organization. Starting from leading yourself, leading others and leading an organization. Generation Z if they don't have leadership skills are like humans, rich in ideas but poor in action. Leadership in an organization/institution has a very important role, because without leadership, the goals of educational institutions that have been carefully planned will not be achieved, besides that good leadership must be synergized with perfect and orderly management. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study and documentation approach. The results of the study indicate that the criteria that leaders must possess are visionary, innovative, the ability to create vision, ability, communication, ability to provide motivation, ability to direct, ability to make decisions, ability to foster, and have 3 dimensions of skills namely Intelligence, Personality, Abilities.

Abstract

In Africa as everywhere else, African societies have known several forms of organization that can be found in Central Africa in the Kongo, Loango and Teke kingdoms. This form of organization is also found in the plateau department and more precisely in the region of Ngo where the Bantu and Tswa have lived since time immemorial. Benefiting from several privileges, gradually becoming lord of the land, although occupying space after the Tswa, the Bantu exert a far-reaching influence and domination over the tswa to the point of considering and transforming them as sub-men. The relations between these two peoples are generally to the advantage of the Bantu. In the region of Ngo, the twa and Teke knew a political, socio-cultural and economic organization which was at the base of their civilization. This study tries to show the influence of this multidimensional organization of these two groups which continue to coexist to this day, particularly from 1960 to 2013.

Abstract

The variety of tribes in East Kalimantan also has various forms of motifs and carving patterns. Efforts to continue to preserve the local arts and culture of East Kalimantan, especially the Dayak Basap tribe, require the support of every stage holder/stakeholder. One of the efforts that have been implemented is community empowerment towards the introduction of batik culture and the ability to generate other income from batik activities. The Empowerment Program implemented by PT KPC is an investment. As a consequence of an investment, it is important for investors to know the results of the investment. In practice, many companies have not carried out an assessment process for the social investments that have been made, especially in terms of indirect results (outcomes) and related to the resulting impacts. This research was conducted in October 2021 in batik SMEs located in North Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency. The basic method used in this research is descriptive analysis, which is a problem-solving procedure that is investigated by describing or describing the current state of the object of research in accordance with the facts obtained in the field. The "Natural Wakakrorosku" program is a community empowerment program, especially batik SMEs by prioritizing cultural and environmental sustainability which raises the potential of the carving art of the East Kuti community into batik cloth and the concept of zero waste.

One of the biggest problems faced by developed countries in the world is concerned with the increase of unemployment from day to day. Lacks of building the entrepreneurial mindset among people in society may support the existing problem which can exacerbate the economic conditions in the developed countries nowadays. This study investigated the students’ entrepreneurial mindset seen from their opinions written down in their essay. A quantitative approach within a survey design was applied in the study. 50 students from English department of the Faculty of Letters, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and Universitas Dr. Soetomo Surabaya (Unitomo) were chosen to be the participants in the study. The study also used a questionnaire and a depth-interview as the instruments. The results showed that students’ creativities in writing essay about building the entrepreneurial mindset were low. It could be seen from the creativity aspects including curiosity, flexibility, and originality in finding and developing new ideas in their writings. And also, the students’ lacks of creativity were also influenced by their unwillingness to build and to do business due to some obstacles such as having no parents’ permissions, business skills and experiences, business relations, and having other plans of working referring to their background knowledge and titles gained. The study implies that entrepreneurial mindset actually can be the alternative topic to build the students’ creativities in writing essay which are beneficial not only for their writing skill improvement, but also for their thinking development in solving the problems about unemployment through being entrepreneurs in the future.
