Abstract

COVID 19 and other diseases with high risk of transmission lead to hospital occupancy restrictions. On the other hand, the patient’s family needs to know the most recent patient condition. This research aims to design a patient monitoring system. Thus, the patient's family can monitor the patient's condition without visiting the hospital to reduce the transmission risk. The process of designing this monitoring system is carried out using a design thinking approach which consists of an empathy process, define, ideate, prototype, and test. This design thinking approach is combined with the Quality Function Deployment method. This approach was chosen because design thinking can solve problems effectively by understanding user needs and redefining the user experience problems. The result of this research is the patient monitoring system mockup. The mockup usability was tested using usability questionnaire. Respondents who are stakeholders in one of the hospitals agree that the developed patient monitoring system could solve existing problems.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the fourth-largest cigarette consumption in the world. In an effort to realize a healthy Indonesia, the government issued a regulation on Guidelines for Smoking Free Zones. One of the locations that are expected to implement Smoking Free Zones is a university which is called Tobacco Free Campus (TFC). The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of 100% TFC in all faculties in the University of Riau. Data obtained by TFC observation and face-to-face interviews.  Observations were made in 10 faculties, and interviews with 67 informants consisting of heads of administration, lecturers, staff, and students. To maintain data accuracy, source triangulation and method triangulation were performed. The results of this study indicate that ten faculties at the University of Riau did not meet the criteria of  TFC. Some of the efforts that have been made in the application of 100% TFC include the TFC policy, media promotion of smoking bans, socialization of TFC, and imposition of sanctions on the TFC policy. Some of these obstacles include the absence of a TFC policy in most faculties, the absence of a TFC monitoring team, the uneven distribution of promotional media in strategic places, the absence of TFC socialization, no sanctions applied for TFC violations, academicians who do not comply with TFC standards, and locations that are considered as a smoking area.

Abstract

The content of learning material is packed with the local wisdom of an area which is taught using examples related to local wisdom, so students will easily understand the knowledge being taught and can relate the knowledge obtained to real situations that are close to students' daily lives. This study aims to analyze students' needs for interactive digital modules based on North Maluku local wisdom. This type of research is development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The data obtained used interviews with biology teachers and also used questionnaires via Google form to 88 students spread across several high schools in Ternate City, North Maluku, Indonesia. As for the student needs analysis questionnaire consisting of seven indicators, all research data obtained was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that: 1) The content of biology material taught in high school has not been integrated with local wisdom, 2) the learning resources used are textbooks, worksheets, e-books, videos, and internet media, 3) as many as 64.2 % of students said they had never used e-modules, 73.5% of students did not understand local wisdom in North Maluku, and as many as 75.1% of students stated that there was a need for interactive modules to support biology learning, thus it can be concluded that e-modules need to be developed biology based on the local wisdom of Ternate, North Maluku as a supporting learning resource in learning biology in high school.

Abstract

Job performance is the highlight and benchmark for every organisation. It is directly related to the organisation, thus generating value and contributing to the organisation's goals, which are demonstrated in the organisation's financial and non-financial results. Optimal individual job performance will lead to business success and affect organisational profitability. This study aims to examine the effect of job crafting and career adaptability on job performance and the indirect effect through the mediation of psychological availability. Empirical data were collected from 220 Bank Papua employees using an online survey method. This study was analysed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. Lisrel software was used to analyse and test the seven hypotheses created based on the research model. The results showed that career adaptability has a positive effect on job performance both directly and through the mediation of psychological availability. However, job crafting was found to have a negative effect on job performance. Furthermore, this research is expected to contribute to human resource literature, especially for policy makers and related parties to pay attention to aspects of career adaptability, which play a role in the process of shaping employee performance.

Abstract

The process of coating weapons is important in the manufacture of weapons, because it can improve the quality, durability and corrosion resistance of these weapons. Metal coatings on weapons can protect the surface of the weapon from damage due to friction, corrosion and other environmental effects. In addition, metal plating can also enhance the visual appearance of the weapon, giving the weapon an attractive and aesthetic appearance. Coatings can also increase the durability of weapons against various environmental conditions and extreme temperatures. The process of coating weapons must be done carefully and requires a complex process and requires proper handling. Therefore, the choice of the right coating method is very important in the manufacture of weapons, because it can affect the quality and durability of these weapons. There are several metal coating methods that can be used in the manufacture of weapons, including electroplating, electroless plating, and hot dipping. The method used is done by collecting and analyzing data from sources such as journals, notes, articles, reports, and other materials related to metal plating using electroplating, electroless plating and hot dipping. In this study, the results obtained that electroplating coating is a coating process that is suitable for the defense industry, because it has several characteristics that electroplating has in the process of coating weapons, due to the need for weapons from resistance due to wear and corrosion, this can be a recommendation to the parties. the defense industry in the process of coating the metal of these weapons uses the electroplating process today.
