Abstract

Caries at an early age is a global problem that affects almost half of preschool children, the prevalence of early childhood caries (ECC) globally varies widely. One of the causes of caries in children less than 5 years old is the delay in the first visit to the dentist. The purpose of this study is to identify patterns of service utilization and obstacles that cause low visits to dentists so that programs can be planned that are able to increase the number of dental visits. A literature review was conducted using PubMed, ProQuest, SpringerLink, and ScienceDirect databases with keywords such as Dental care, Dental attendance, dental utilization, and Oral health promotion. The data were then thematically analyzed to uncover trends, common challenges, and effective interventions across the literature. The results of this systematic review show a pattern in visiting the dentist, including visiting for routine dental checkups, preventive treatments, acute pain conditions that have been experienced and trauma. The patterns of use of dental and oral health services in children are influenced by the level of parental education, the type of dental health care that is covered by limited health insurance, low socio-economic factors, socio-demographic factors, and lack of adequate insurance. This study aims to offer valuable insights into the patterns of dental care utilization and the obstacles preventing higher visitation rates to dental services. The findings are synthesized to highlight consistencies and gaps, ultimately providing insights to inform the development of programs aimed at improving dental visit rates.

Abstract

Food fraud is a serious problem in the spice industry. This research aims to identify the potential for food fraud in spice commodity supply chain using the Food Fraud Vulnerability Assessment Tool from the Safe Supply of Affordable Food Everywhere (SSAFE). The research was conducted through a case study on two spice commodity industries, namely PT A and PT B, located in Jakarta and Tangerang from June to December 2023. The results of the study indicated that the opportunity factor, the motivation factor, and the control action indicator have high vulnerability in both companies, while in the control action factor, there are indicators that have low vulnerability in PT Y. The preparation of mitigation strategies was obtained from the analysis of the relationship between vulnerability factors, opportunities, motivations and control measures which were then validated from literature sources. Based on the conclusion of the food fraud vulnerability analysis in this study, there were several suggestions that can be put forward to improve the strategy of handling food fraud.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become a hot topic in the last few decades. The purpose of this study is to find out how the function of digital marketing in the Batik sector is to maintain it in the face of global fashion trends. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this study to explore the role of emerging digital marketing tools in promoting traditional industries like Batik. Data was collected from observations, interviews, research-related documents, and literature reviews. The results showed that the use of social media and websites was particularly useful for identifying various digital marketing strategies used by both domestic and foreign companies. Digital marketing can be used to retain customers, encourage them to develop preferences, increase sales, and ultimately increase revenue. The use of digital platforms can be a tool that sellers can use to amplify their business message, and with digital marketing it can reach a wider range of customers so that business development can be faster. Future studies could explore the potential impact of newer or underutilized marketing tools (e.g., AI-powered marketing tools, augmented reality in fashion marketing) on traditional industries such as Batik, especially in niche markets. Future research could explore how digital marketing can effectively promote sustainable Batik practices, highlighting eco-friendly production methods and responsible consumerism, which may resonate with global fashion trend.

The measurement model test in this study was carried out. The structural model was evaluated using R-square for the dependent variable, the Stone geisser Q-square test for predictive relevance, and the t-test to assess the significance of the structural path parameter coefficient. The results showed that (1) there is a positive and significant influence of job crafting on the work engagement of employees, so that the higher the job crafting of employees owned, the better the performance will be. (2) There is an influence of work engagement on the performance of employees because the Tstatic (3,957) > Ttable (1.96) and Pvalue (0.000)  sig (0.05) values. (3) There are two factors that mediate the positive influence of the two factors: (1) job crafting, (2) work engagement, and (3) work engagement.

Abstract

One of the problems with the transportation system to tourist locations in the Bandung Regency area is congestion which causes an increase in average daily traffic (LHR) due to the use of private vehicles. If the vehicle's LHR increases, the vehicle speed will be low and the cost of transporting the vehicle to tourist locations will become expensive. This research aims to calculate the BOK for the Bandung Regency tourist area, calculate the BOT for the Bandung Regency tourist area and analyze the influence of the transportation system in the Bandung Regency tourist area. The research method uses quantitative and qualitative research (mix method). From the results of BOK calculations and analysis using the Pacific Consultant International (PCI) method, the total BOK value for working days and holidays for Curug Cinulang is IDR 56,582.00. Tebing Keraton Rp. 79,841.00, and Ranca Upas Rp. 103,366.00. From the results of BOT calculations and analysis using the Pacific Consultant International (PCI) method, the total BOT value for weekdays and holidays for Curug Cinulang is IDR 59,714.00. Tebing Keraton Rp. 50,959.00 and Ranca Upas Rp. 108,137.00. Based on the results of the analysis, It can be seen from the indicators that the obstacles faced in daily activities, especially in traveling, are having to deal with traffic jams which cause low vehicle speeds, wasting a lot of time and fuel on the road, thus disrupting travel activity plans.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance and productivity of heavy equipment as well as the volume of waste produced in a waste disposal area (TPSA) located in Kuningan Regency. The research was carried out at the Ciniru TPSA located in Jalaksana District, Kuningang Regency, with the aim of finding out the data on the volumes of waste, transport trucks, and excavator heavy equipment. The results show that the amount of existing waste in the area reaches 630 m3 with an average amount of irritation of 71 times per day. In addition, the production of heavy machinery for garbage trucks, excavators, and bulldozers reaches 128.07 m3/hour, which is a working time of 8 hours and operational costs of Rp 244,957/hour, respectively. The findings of this study offer valuable information on the effectiveness of retaining walls in mitigating environmental impact, protecting agricultural areas, and improving waste handling practices. Moreover, investigating methods to extend landfill lifespan through improved spatial planning and capacity forecasting will be crucial, especially for regions facing waste overflow challenges in the near future.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and evaluate the role of law enforcement in the Indonesian constitutional system, specifically focusing on how the enforcement of laws aligns with the personal conscience and ethical judgment of law enforcers. The study utilizes secondary data gathered through literature reviews, drawing from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, such as legislation, books, journals, and articles. The collected data is analyzed following the Miles and Huberman (2014) model, which includes processes of data reduction, data display, and data verification, to derive conclusions pertinent to the research questions. It sheds light on how ethical considerations influence decision-making, offering insights into the moral dimensions of the law enforcement beyond formal legal frameworks. Furthermore, this study contributes to discussions on judicial integrity and accountability, providing a foundation for evaluating how personal conscience impacts the fairness and effectiveness of law enforcing. It also offers practical recommendations for strengthening the ethical standards and professional judgment of judicial officials in Indonesia. Comparative studies on how different countries' judicial systems integrate human rights and democratic values into their law enforcement structures could provide valuable insights for reforming Indonesia's judicial system to meet global standards of justice and fairness.
