Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on IBOX customer loyalty and satisfaction, as well as the role of customer satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between KOLs and CRM with loyalty. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design to test the cause-and-effect relationship between key opinion leaders, CRMs, and customer loyalty as independent variables, the mediating role of Customer Satisfaction (KP), and the mediator role of the customer satisfaction (LP). The study population consists of Greater Jakarta residents aged 19-55 years who are active in using the internet, with a sample selected by purposive sampling of 250 respondents. The results show that customer satisfaction has a significant influence on customer loyalty (P0.05), with each variable showing a p-value smaller than 0.05, namely 0.000 and 0.011, respectively. In addition, this study also revealed that Customer Service Management (CRM) has an important influence on Customer Loyalty (LP), with the p value of 0.000. This shows that KOL and CRM not only affect customer satisfaction, but also play an important role in building customer loyalty.

Abstract

This paper presents a philosophical analysis of inter-party conflict through the lens of Axel Honneth's theory of recognition. The analysis reveals that the root cause of conflict is not merely linguistic or communicative failure (as per Habermas' theory), but a lack of mutual recognition among conflicting parties. The article offers a deeper understanding of political pathology, highlighting the root causes of political conflict. Specifically, the article proposes that the conflict between parties in Timor Leste during the struggle period can be said to be a communal political conflict, which occurred due to the absence of interparty recognition as the people of Timor leste who were struggling against imperialism and colonialism. This would allow for a broader understanding of the ways in which the recognition theory can be adapted to various cultural and political contexts, identifying best practices for conflict resolution and sustainable peace-building efforts in other nations with similar historical struggles.

Abstract

This study is aimed at identifying the main problem in the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) area of Cikunir 2 LRT Station, namely, the lack of accessibility and adequate connectivity, especially for pedestrians and users of mass public transportation, due to the concept and infrastructure that is not optimal. The study was conducted for two months, from May to June 2023, using field observations and institutional interviews. The preliminary survey was conducted to obtain primary and secondary data, which were then processed using the analysis of the walkability, accessibility, and connectivity index. The results of this analysis are expected to provide insight into the development of access and connectivity in the area. The resulting recommendations include the provision of barrier-free pedestrian paths and separation from motor vehicles. The provision of safe crossing facilities, and increased safety through lighting and disturbance reporting instruments are also suggested. In addition, the arrangement of activity functions along the pedestrian path, improved cleanliness, air circulation, and visual attraction are suggested. Furthermore, studies on the behavioral dynamics between pedestrian and vehicle, the integration of smart technologies to enhance walkability and the environmental and health benefits of improved pedestrian infrastructure could provide valuable insights. Research on institutional integration and financial management for urban development projects would also help in optimizing the implementation of these improvements for safer and more accessible urban spaces.

Abstract

This research is driven by the Sendai Framework, which serves as a guide for mitigating global disaster risk. Within the ASEAN context, this framework is encapsulated in the form of a collective agreement among ten countries. AADMER serves as the foundation for ASEAN member states to establish and enhance coordination and collaboration in the field of disaster management. This research examines how the AHA Centre effectively communicates and disseminates the regional disaster management mechanisms to National Disaster Management Organisations in the Philippines and Malaysia through the One ASEAN One Response Roadshow programme, and how one country’s approaches are different from another by considering certain local contexts. This study explores the critical factors contributing to the success of these communication efforts and highlights the importance of intercultural communication in enhancing understanding and collaboration among stakeholders in each country. The findings reveal that effective communication strategies are vital for fostering mutual understanding and cooperation, thereby strengthening regional disaster management capacities. This research contributes to both academic and practical domains by offering insights into successful strategies for disseminating disaster management information in a multi-cultural and multi-sectoral regional context.

Abstract

The use of white phosphorus as a weapon is highly dangerous, causing direct physical damage to victims and environmental harm. White phosphorus is just one of many dual-use chemicals that have industrial benefits but also pose significant health and environmental risks. This situation leads to violations of fundamental human rights. This study discusses the legal complexities related to the use of dual-use chemicals in both global and Indonesian contexts, with a focus on Indonesia’s Health Law No. 17 of 2023. The research aims to identify legal gaps in the regulation of hazardous chemical use, from both international and national perspectives, and to provide recommendations for improving national regulations to better protect the public from the threats posed by dual-use chemicals. This study uses a normative legal approach with descriptive-analytical methods. It evaluates the gaps between national and international regulations on dual-use chemicals and the practical impact of these differences on public health protection in Indonesia. The study finds significant gaps between national and international regulations, particularly in terms of oversight and regulation of dual-use chemicals. The implementation of current health laws in Indonesia remains weak. International regulations are stricter, but they have not been fully integrated into national policies, resulting in gaps in public health protection from the threats posed by these chemicals.

Abstract

In international relations, trade cooperation is a strategic step for every country to improve the welfare of its people. As a country which rich in natural resources, Indonesia continues to utilize its potential to perpetuate trade with other countries through export activities. One of Indonesia's leading commodities that is valuable in the global market is palm oil. Many countries have trusted Indonesian palm oil products, one of which is Pakistan. The step to facilitate the export process in the palm oil sector is through the Indonesia-Pakistan Preferential Trade Agreement (IPPTA). Through the IPPTA framework, the two countries agreed to reduce tariffs and expand the export-import commodities of both countries. This paper focuses on providing an understanding of the impact of IPPTA at the business to government levels, where the author uses Wilmar International as the subject of research. Using the theory of Trade Cooperations: The Purpose, Design and Effects of Preferential Trade Agreements by Malfred Esig, this study found that there were factors outside of tariffs that hampered the increase in palm oil export performance at Wilmar International, which were identified through global conditions, domestic conditions and internal conditions of the company.

Abstract

This study is aimed at determining whether the implementation of the norm prohibiting money politics in Indonesia has been enforced in accordance with existing laws and regulations, and why they have not succeeded in curbing the practice of money politics. This study uses a normative legal research method or doctrinal legal research, supported by empirical research, with a statutory approach and case studies. The study uses secondary data obtained from the literature, including official documents, books, research results in the form of reports, and other forms of data. The results of this study reveal that the very limited time limit, namely 5 working days at Bawaslu to obtain two pieces of evidence and 14 days for the police to conduct an investigation, is the main factor in the low performance of law enforcement for money politics, and the failure of the application of administrative sanctions against candidates who are proven guilty of violating the prohibition on political money in a TSM manner.
